Glad to have found yet another great Mexican restaurant in Vallejo. Good food, good service, good price! I'll def be back. I can see this becoming one of my regularly visited spots. The Carne Asada Super burrito was good, the shrimp taco (deep fried shrimp) was REALLY good. My son got Al Pastor Taco (he said is was surprisingly different from any Al Pastor he's had in Vallejo but he liked it nonetheless). He also had a grilled chicken taco and carnitas taco which he liked.
I've been coming here for years, usually on Thursdays after school because my son likes to order plain chicken with fries. We order ahead because we're on a tight schedule -- I'm a busy, involved parent getting him to the gym after school. A few weeks back, despite ordering plain chicken, his plate came out with pico de gallo. He won't eat it that way. I didn't have time to drive back, so I let it go. The following week, we ordered in person and the waitress assured me she double-checked the order. My son's meal came out correctly -- but my plate was made plain instead of how I ordered it. Not a big deal. I can eat it. I called simply to let them know there was a mix-up -- not demanding anything, not asking for free food. What I wasn't prepared for was being called a liar. I was told the order was made correctly and that if I wanted it fixed I had to bring everything back immediately -- including the salsas. I explained we were on a time schedule for my son's gym session. Instead of understanding, I was told my "games won't fly" there and that I was being a "Karen" looking for free food. My son was hungry and upset during the call. She heard him. We drove back anyway. I placed the plate on the counter, and once she saw it, the mistake was obvious. Only then did she offer to remake it. At that point it wasn't about the food -- it was about being accused of lying and being publicly disrespected in front of my child. Weeks later, I noticed the order was never refunded. I had to dispute the charge with American Express to get my money back. I've supported this restaurant for years. This wasn't about a wrong plate -- mistakes happen. It was about how we were treated when trying to resolve it. I can't return after being called dishonest and a beggar over a simple order issue. Mi hijo no lo come así. No tuve tiempo de regresar y lo dejé pasar. A la semana siguiente hicimos el pedido en persona para evitar otro error. La mesera aseguró que revisó la orden dos veces. El plato de mi hijo salió correcto... pero el mío salió mal. No era el fin del mundo. Yo me lo podía comer. Llamé solo para avisar que había un error, no para pedir comida gratis. No estaba preparado para que me llamaran mentiroso. Me dijeron que la orden estaba correcta y que si quería que la arreglaran tenía que regresar de inmediato con todo, hasta las salsas. Expliqué que teníamos que ir al gimnasio. La respuesta fue que mis "juegos no funcionaban ahí" y que estaba siendo un "Karen" buscando comida gratis. Mi hijo estaba llorando de hambre mientras escuchaba todo. Aun así regresamos. Puse el plato sobre el mostrador. Cuando lo vieron, quedó claro que el error era real. En ese momento ofrecieron rehacerlo. Ya no importaba. No era la comida. Era el respeto. Semanas después noté que nunca hicieron el reembolso. Tuve que llamar a American Express para disputar el cargo y recuperar mi dinero. Un error en una orden es humano. Acusar a un cliente fiel de mentiroso y de mendigar comida no lo es. Perdieron mucho más que el valor de un plato esa noche.
Where's the beef???? I ordered a steak super burrito and there barely any steak inside. It was all rice and beans, was so dry and small. I prefer the truck better.
Ok so this is my first time trying this place and I'm disappointed. I was excited about the enchilada but it tasted more like tomato sauce instead of enchilada sauce. There was no cheese just meat and tortilla and sauce. The carnitas tacos tasted bland and not use to the flavor I'm used too but there was lots of meat just needed more flavor.The Al pastor is very good and had a lot of meat as well and so is the red salsa
I had takeout last week and tried some new things. The kids quesadilla with rice and beans was a pretty good deal but it was just a flour tortilla folded over with cheese. Not big, not amazing, but not bad for a plain quesadilla. I guess to me it lacked flavor and needed a dash of salt for that cheese to stand out. Also got a kid Super burrito with fries. That was really good and a good size portion for a kid. It could easily be split between two children or a leftover meal. I had the chimichanga with the rice and beans. I really liked the chimichanga and it actually arrived still crispy on the top, which is rare. It looked amazing and tasted good but when you tried to cut into it, the crust was so thick and doughy on the inside that I couldn't cut through it without a sharp knife. Since I have a sharp knife, but no patience, I used my fingers and tried to pull it apart and well then I just made a mess and it didn't look appealing anymore. lol . The flan was the star of the meal. And I'm not gonna lie, I ate half of it before my dinner and I don't regret it. . It was really good. Had a nice creamy consistency with good flavor. It could've used the caramel sauce, but still a flavorful dessert. Overall, this place had good flavors and more reasonable prices than most, considering everything is overpriced today.
I usually get tacos here on Tuesdays but I came in on Wednesday. I totally started ordering tacos and then found out it wasn't Tuesday lol. So I ordered their next special which is a pretty good deal. Super burritos for $7. Their tacos are pretty good so can't wait to try their super burritos. The parking lot was actually pretty empty today so I'm guessing it's pretty busy on Tuesdays. The service is always nice and quick and everyone has always friendly. The ambience is cool since they have a full bar and you have booth seating which is very comfortable
Always a delicious meal at this cozy restaurant. Friendly service as well. Good chips, fajitas, molcajetes, and micheladas among other things. And their $1 tacos on Taco Tuesday can't be beat!
Monday morning I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito and a quick search on Yelp turned up Mi Jalisco. I had been here before a few years ago but was not impressed. Today was different. The chips were fresh and crisp, the salsa flavorful and not too spicy. The burrito came out of the kitchen hot and with a nice ratio of chorizo and potatoes. The potatoes seemed to be boiled and then pan fried and the chorizo high quality and not greasy.

Taco Tuesday has been a godsend to a stay at home mom that wants a break from cooking occasionally in this economy. The 1$ taco specials serve my family well. Delicious and I absolutely love the toppings that they are generous with along with the salsas. When we get out food we choose these guys since for 60 bucks you can feed a family of 7 for 2 days. We always get a variety of meat choices. read more

Wow!!! Excellent food and service, and great prices too! Not only was the food delicious, it was also beautifully served. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to and I wish we lived closer so we could come here again! read more

Felt like venturing on my next Yelp experience. I found just that in Mi Jalisco! It was on a Saturday afternoon and their parking lot was never fully occupied. Customer turnover was steady. I was so glad that I didn't have any parking issues. They start you off with chips and salsa. You can requests for more, but I soon found out the food we've ordered were large portions! Save your appetite for the food is all I can say. As for drinks I had the Horchata and she (my date) had the Agua de Piña. These drinks received my approval. Not overly sweet at all. Camarones a la Diabla was good. However, their tortillas was the one that caught my attention. Their corn tortillas are premium! My date had the Mix Fajitas and according to her, it's better than the others she tried. I have to try their other specialties! I will definitely make a return. read more

We came here for basically brunch, around 11AM on a Friday for my nieces promotion outing... we made it before before all the graduation rush. We had a pretty big party (14) & the waitress was amazing! I wish I got her name, but we didn't. She was so patient, friendly & very attentive. The food is why I'm only rating it a 4. The chips & salsa were suuuppeerr good, especially if you like your salsa with a kick. Their portions are HUUGGGEE. My sister & I ordered their ceviche, which was good but seemed to be missing something... so I saved it & docked it up at home with more seasoning. I also had the tacos. I recommend the pastor as it was very flavorful, but I also got the carne asade which also lacked seasonings. Most of our party received the birria tacos & they loved them. I had them cater my daughters graduation party, food was amazing and they delivered to Benicia for a minimal delivery fee.. I highly recomend using them for catering an event. read more
Cash only and they have weekly specials. I like their taco Tuesdays over Albertos because they give the cilantro and onions, their meat is also more flavorful; however, they don't give as much as Albertos. Cheap and quick service. They do have indoor dining but we didn't stay for that. Def will come back for another weekly special when I'm in the area. read more

I came here because it always looks packed when I drive by so one night we just said hey let's try it! I expected something more authentic and flavorful. Micheladas were okay, for the price I could've made a better one at home honestly. We ordered nachos and the birria tacos. Both were good, but nothing I'd come back for. Service was actually really decent compared to the bad reviews I've read on here. Id say it's a nice place to try and come to eat once in awhile but it just didn't wow me enough. read more
