Super Burrito Carne Asada Super Burrito
    Noli P.

Glad to have found yet another great Mexican restaurant in Vallejo. Good food, good service, good price! I'll def be back. I can see this becoming one of my regularly visited spots. The Carne Asada Super burrito was good, the shrimp taco (deep fried shrimp) was REALLY good. My son got Al Pastor Taco (he said is was surprisingly different from any Al Pastor he's had in Vallejo but he liked it nonetheless). He also had a grilled chicken taco and carnitas taco which he liked.

Where's the beef???? I ordered a steak super burrito and there barely any steak inside. It was all rice and beans, was so dry and small. I prefer the truck better.

Ok so this is my first time trying this place and I'm disappointed. I was excited about the enchilada but it tasted more like tomato sauce instead of enchilada sauce. There was no cheese just meat and tortilla and sauce. The carnitas tacos tasted bland and not use to the flavor I'm used too but there was lots of meat just needed more flavor. The Al pastor is very good and had a lot of meat as well and so is the red salsa

Kids quesadilla with rice and beans

I had takeout last week and tried some new things. The kids quesadilla with rice and beans was a pretty good deal but it was just a flour tortilla folded over with cheese. Not big, not amazing, but not bad for a plain quesadilla. I guess to me it lacked flavor and needed a dash of salt for that cheese to stand out. Also got a kid Super burrito with fries. That was really good and a good size portion for a kid. It could easily be split between two children or a leftover meal. I had the chimichanga with the rice and beans. I really liked the chimichanga and it actually arrived still crispy on the top, which is rare. It looked amazing and tasted good but when you tried to cut into it, the crust was so thick and doughy on the inside that I couldn't cut through it without a sharp knife. Since I have a sharp knife, but no patience, I used my fingers and tried to pull it apart and well then I just made a mess and it didn't look appealing anymore. lol ‍. The flan was the star of the meal. And I'm not gonna lie, I ate half of it before my dinner and I don't regret it. . It was really good. Had a nice creamy consistency with good flavor. It could've used the caramel sauce, but still a flavorful dessert. Overall, this place had good flavors and more reasonable prices than most, considering everything is overpriced today.

I usually get tacos here on Tuesdays but I came in on Wednesday. I totally started ordering tacos and then found out it wasn't Tuesday lol. So I ordered their next special which is a pretty good deal. Super burritos for $7. Their tacos are pretty good so can't wait to try their super burritos. The parking lot was actually pretty empty today so I'm guessing it's pretty busy on Tuesdays. The service is always nice and quick and everyone has always friendly. The ambience is cool since they have a full bar and you have booth seating which is very comfortable

Always a delicious meal at this cozy restaurant. Friendly service as well. Good chips, fajitas, molcajetes, and micheladas among other things. And their $1 tacos on Taco Tuesday can't be beat!

    Breakfast burrito

Monday morning I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito and a quick search on Yelp turned up Mi Jalisco. I had been here before a few years ago but was not impressed. Today was different. The chips were fresh and crisp, the salsa flavorful and not too spicy. The burrito came out of the kitchen hot and with a nice ratio of chorizo and potatoes. The potatoes seemed to be boiled and then pan fried and the chorizo high quality and not greasy.

Felt like venturing on my next Yelp experience. I found just that in Mi Jalisco! It was on a Saturday afternoon and their parking lot was never fully occupied. Customer turnover was steady. I was so glad that I didn't have any parking issues. They start you off with chips and salsa. You can requests for more, but I soon found out the food we've ordered were large portions! Save your appetite for the food is all I can say. As for drinks I had the Horchata and she (my date) had the Agua de Piña. These drinks received my approval. Not overly sweet at all. Camarones a la Diabla was good. However, their tortillas was the one that caught my attention. Their corn tortillas are premium! My date had the Mix Fajitas and according to her, it's better than the others she tried. I have to try their other specialties! I will definitely make a return.

We came here for basically brunch, around 11AM on a Friday for my nieces promotion outing... we made it before before all the graduation rush. We had a pretty big party (14) & the waitress was amazing! I wish I got her name, but we didn't. She was so patient, friendly & very attentive. The food is why I'm only rating it a 4. The chips & salsa were suuuppeerr good, especially if you like your salsa with a kick. Their portions are HUUGGGEE. My sister & I ordered their ceviche, which was good but seemed to be missing something... so I saved it & docked it up at home with more seasoning. I also had the tacos. I recommend the pastor as it was very flavorful, but I also got the carne asade which also lacked seasonings. Most of our party received the birria tacos & they loved them. Will definitely be back!

My favorite was their chicken tinga, which reminded me of the chicken burritos I used to get back in my hometown across the bridge. I immediately told myself I'd have to come back and order a chicken tinga burrito. A few weeks later, I finally returned on a Sunday while they were serving their World Cup Sunday brunch. I ordered a chicken tinga super burrito and a California burrito to take home. I was really excited to dig in, but when I opened the bag, the "super" burrito looked more like a regular burrito. The flavors were still great, but the filling was disappointing. There was barely any chicken or sour cream, and I had to eat more than halfway through before I finally got a decent balance of meat, rice, and beans. I even had to add my own sour cream because there was so little inside. As for the California burrito, it was just okay. The fries were stale, and there wasn't enough sour cream or guacamole, which made the burrito pretty dry. It honestly reminded me more of a breakfast burrito than a California burrito, and I wasn't a fan. Overall, the flavors are definitely there, and it's clear the food has potential. However, the portions felt skimpy for the price, making the burritos feel overpriced. I'll give Sol y Sazon another chance because I know they're capable of making delicious food, but if my next experience is like this one, they'll likely lose me as a customer.

The line was considerably long around 7:30 p.m. so it took a while for us to order and receive our food. I like that the tacos here are single tortilla -- as opposed to double tortillas, so the filling to tortilla ratio feels a lot more balanced. For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was absolutely massive! I definitely would only recommending ordering a quesadilla if you're sharing it, or if you're coming with a massive appetite. The food is very, very good, the prices are reasonable, and the portions you get are worth it. I had known about this taco truck for years but never stopped until last year, and now I wish I had gone sooner. I ordered a super burrito and a few tacos. One thing I really like is that they actually list the length of their burritos on the menu. That's a nice touch because sometimes you order a "super burrito" somewhere else and end up with something small. Here, you know exactly what you're getting. Out of all the taco trucks in Vallejo, this is easily one of my top three burrito trucks. I try not to burn myself out eating at the same place too often, so I like switching between favorites, and this is definitely one I keep coming back to. I almost always get the steak burrito. One thing I really love is the pico de gallo they use. They use red onions, which gives it a nice touch, and every time I get it, I can really taste the cilantro in the pico de gallo throughout the burrito. The steak and chicken street tacos were also really good but the burrito is always my favorite! Parking is never an issue because they share a parking lot with an auto body shop during off-hours, so there's usually plenty of space. They also have cones to help guide cars entering and exiting the lot. When your food is ready, they call your order number over the microphone/intercom system, then ask if you want red or green sauce and chips. Overall, I've always had a great experience here. My waiter was really friendly and welcoming. He checked on me right away, asked if I knew what I wanted to order, and brought out water and chips. The customer service throughout my visit was excellent. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with TVs all around, a full bar, and outdoor seating. I chose a corner table where I could watch one of the soccer games on TV, which made for a relaxing lunch. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. The salsa had nice flavor without being overly spicy. I ordered the steak quesadilla plate, which came with refried beans, Spanish rice, pico de gallo, sour cream, and lettuce. My food arrived in about 10-15 minutes. The best thing on the plate was the refried beans. They were easily my favorite part of the meal. They were flavorful, creamy. The Spanish rice was also tasty. The pico de gallo was served over shredded lettuce, which was fine, although I would have preferred it on the side. The sour cream came in a small cup, which wasn't my favorite, i'm not sure if it was buttery sour cream, but it just didn't taste right. The guacamole might've been my second favorite thing on the plate.!! The steak quesadilla itself was good, but it didn't quite wow me like a quesadilla usually does. It was generously filled with steak, but I wish it had more cheese. I like my quesadillas to have a perfect balance of melted cheese and meat, and this one leaned much heavier on the steak. Even so, the steak had good flavor, and I still enjoyed the meal overall. The price was reasonable too. I believe everything came to just under $20, which felt like a good value. Before I left, they gave me a piece of candy with the receipt, which was a small but thoughtful touch that I appreciated. As I was walking out, I noticed they have different daily specials posted outside. I hadn't seen them before coming in, so now I definitely have another reason to come back and try something different. Overall, I had a great first experience. The friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, good value, and delicious refried beans made this an enjoyable visit. I'll definitely be back to check out those daily specials.
