Fajitas ir what's left of them! Yum!

House salsa is the best I have had. Not just sayin' that. It's truly the best! Interior is clean and freshly painted. Floors are new and clean. Enchiladas are very different from what you might expect, but far from disappointing. They have absolutely superb flavor, but the filling is diced onions and cotija cheese. See photo. The choice of meat comes on top of the homemade tortillas with the enchilada sauce and I selected quail. Excellent flavor! Lovely to have a game bird as a choice. Unfortunately, the rice is simple instant spanish rice--nothing special. Not sure if the beans are reconstituted, from a can, or homemade. The beans don't have any special flavor. Homemade corn tortillas are very tasty with excellent texture. My husband had carne fajitas which were tasty and the meat was tender. I do recommend this restaurant if you love flavor explosions, and are not looking for generic, American style, Mexican food.

So much to say about this awesome restaurant. First thing I should point out is to get there as soon as you can and to find parking, it's in a street that can be busy with some limited parking, and the left side to the front of the restaurant facing the street is the parking for the dispensary and the security guard tells you to park somewhere else other than their establishment or your car may get towed. Once you get parking situated you're about to enter one awesome family friendly establishment. Reason I say that is because once you get seated the staff are so welcoming and they tend to you very quickly. Upon ordering you have a free appetizer of fresh chips and salsa. The chips were freshly fried and hot and I am not exaggerating when I say they're the best chips I've ever had at any taqueria. The chips are not your average bagged tortilla chips. They were immaculate. I judge taquerias by their chips and salsa, and I can say it truly set the foundation for the rest of my experience to come. The salsa had the roasted tomato taste, perfect amount of everything and a kick of spice. I went rounds on it and I got worried I would get full off of it. Now for the main dish! I got the camarones a la diabla (devil shrimp), and I have to say that this dish is not for beginners, like you have to be able to enjoy spice. Although the spice of the shrimp was spicy, the flavor could not have been anymore flavorful! The sauce was so good you could take it to go and just eat it with tortilla chips, or rice when you get home. Vallejo got lucky having this restaurant open, they close late, and have karaoke night, and happy hour, and you can honestly make friends with the people sitting around because you feel so welcomed. I was sad when I got full because I wanted to eat more and try the whole menu, but trust me. I will be back!

Patronize local establishments. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dalia's Restaurant, located at 1950 Broadway St in Vallejo. On a chilly and rainy day, we sought comfort food. The menudo we ordered was exceptional, boasting a rich flavor profile and generous portions of meat. I opted to exclude pata from my dish. Notably, the menudo lacked the strong odor often associated with this traditional dish. Instead, it presented a delightful aroma. The restaurant is family-run, with the owner, their son, and parents all contributing to the operation. We received a warm welcome from the owner, and our waiter, the owner's son, provided attentive service. To address our inquiries about specific menu items, the waiter arranged for the cook to meet with us. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we look forward to continuing our support. Big plus, handmade fresh corn tortillas. The full Mexican flavors were all there!!! Dali's is named after the owners daughter who proudly serves for the U.S. Air Force. Please support this local gem.

My favorite was their chicken tinga, which reminded me of the chicken burritos I used to get back in my hometown across the bridge. I immediately told myself I'd have to come back and order a chicken tinga burrito. A few weeks later, I finally returned on a Sunday while they were serving their World Cup Sunday brunch. I ordered a chicken tinga super burrito and a California burrito to take home. I was really excited to dig in, but when I opened the bag, the "super" burrito looked more like a regular burrito. The flavors were still great, but the filling was disappointing. There was barely any chicken or sour cream, and I had to eat more than halfway through before I finally got a decent balance of meat, rice, and beans. I even had to add my own sour cream because there was so little inside. As for the California burrito, it was just okay. The fries were stale, and there wasn't enough sour cream or guacamole, which made the burrito pretty dry. It honestly reminded me more of a breakfast burrito than a California burrito, and I wasn't a fan. Overall, the flavors are definitely there, and it's clear the food has potential. However, the portions felt skimpy for the price, making the burritos feel overpriced. I'll give Sol y Sazon another chance because I know they're capable of making delicious food, but if my next experience is like this one, they'll likely lose me as a customer.

The line was considerably long around 7:30 p.m. so it took a while for us to order and receive our food. I like that the tacos here are single tortilla -- as opposed to double tortillas, so the filling to tortilla ratio feels a lot more balanced. For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was absolutely massive! I definitely would only recommending ordering a quesadilla if you're sharing it, or if you're coming with a massive appetite. Overall, Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño was a nice gem we randomly stumbled upon while routing to In-N-Out for burgers. Between the two, I would certainly save my stomach space for tacos from Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño next time.

Parking is a little tricky because so many people pack into the tiny lot. Plenty of different meats to choose from if you're craving tacos. But they have plenty of alternatives if you aren't feeling like tacos. I ended up getting Al Pastor, Asada, and Suadero. Suadero was okay but the Al Pastor was amazing. I lived in San Diego and I've had a hard time finding good pastor since I moved back. Freshly sliced with slice of pineapple was perfect! They have all the fixings in bins with tongs for you to pack in sandwich bags they have available. Only thing is, it seems like kind of a roll of the dice from a food safety standpoint, but hey, "street" tacos aMiRiTe? Haha. Overall fast service, great tacos. Especially for the price of $4/taco. I'd give it five stars but had to knock it down for the food safety aspect.

MI JALISCO RESTAURANTE -- SOMEONE CALL THE TACO POLICE BECAUSE THIS FOOD IS ILLEGAL!…read more HOLY CR*P... I HAVE FOUND THE GOOD STUFF! I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS RESTAURANTE!!! I ordered the Birria Tacos and the Torta Ahogada Mi Jalisco, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this was some of the BEST Mexican food I've probably ever eaten. And I've eaten a LOT of Mexican food. The birria tacos were so damn good I briefly considered hiding under the table so nobody could see me ordering another round. The flavor was on point, the meat was fantastic, and everything just WORKED. Then came the Torta Ahogada Mi Jalisco... HOLY. TACO. TRUCK. That thing showed up looking innocent and left me questioning every life decision that had previously led me to eat anything else. THIS is what I mean when I say authentic Mexican food. No nonsense. No boring, flavorless food that makes you stare at your plate wondering where the personality went. This food showed up with its boots on and went straight to work. And judging by the crowd, I'm definitely not the only one who figured this place out. This place was PACKED at lunch today! That's usually a pretty good sign that the locals know something the rest of us are still trying to figure out. The restaurant was clean, tidy, busy, and full of good energy, and the service was absolutely AMAZING. Everyone was friendly, polite, and working their butts off. I also had my service dog, an American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT), with me. They politely asked if he was a service dog, I answered, and that was literally the end of it. No drama. No interrogation. No circus. Just respectful people treating us like human beings. And THAT deserves some recognition. ‍ So here's my official DirtyFender Food Finder ruling: Food: ABSOLUTELY KILLER Flavor: OFF THE CHARTS Service: FANTASTIC Cleanliness: SPOT ON ‍ Service-dog experience: RESPECTFUL AND EASY Tip: TIP THESE PEOPLE WELL! Seriously, when you get great food from people busting their asses to serve you, SHOW THEM SOME LOVE. The cooks and servers deserve every bit of appreciation they get. I walked in hungry. I walked out happy. And now I'm sitting here wondering how soon I can go back without looking like I've developed a serious emotional attachment to a restaurant. We order ahead because we're on a tight schedule -- I'm a busy, involved parent getting him to the gym after school. A few weeks back, despite ordering plain chicken, his plate came out with pico de gallo. He won't eat it that way. I didn't have time to drive back, so I let it go. The following week, we ordered in person and the waitress assured me she double-checked the order. My son's meal came out correctly -- but my plate was made plain instead of how I ordered it. Not a big deal. I can eat it. I called simply to let them know there was a mix-up -- not demanding anything, not asking for free food. What I wasn't prepared for was being called a liar. I was told the order was made correctly and that if I wanted it fixed I had to bring everything back immediately -- including the salsas. I explained we were on a time schedule for my son's gym session. Instead of understanding, I was told my "games won't fly" there and that I was being a "Karen" looking for free food. My son was hungry and upset during the call. She heard him. We drove back anyway. I placed the plate on the counter, and once she saw it, the mistake was obvious. Only then did she offer to remake it. At that point it wasn't about the food -- it was about being accused of lying and being publicly disrespected in front of my child. Weeks later, I noticed the order was never refunded. I had to dispute the charge with American Express to get my money back. I've supported this restaurant for years. This wasn't about a wrong plate -- mistakes happen. It was about how we were treated when trying to resolve it. I can't return after being called dishonest and a beggar over a simple order issue.

The food is very, very good, the prices are reasonable, and the portions you get are worth it. It's kind of hard to miss when driving by, but they also have a small sign near the street letting you know they're there. I had known about this taco truck for years but never stopped until last year, and now I wish I had gone sooner. I ordered a super burrito and a few tacos. One thing I really like is that they actually list the length of their burritos on the menu. That's a nice touch because sometimes you order a "super burrito" somewhere else and end up with something small. Here, you know exactly what you're getting. Out of all the taco trucks in Vallejo, this is easily one of my top three burrito trucks. I try not to burn myself out eating at the same place too often, so I like switching between favorites, and this is definitely one I keep coming back to. I almost always get the steak burrito. One thing I really love is the pico de gallo they use. They use red onions, which gives it a nice touch, and every time I get it, I can really taste the cilantro in the pico de gallo throughout the burrito. The steak and chicken street tacos were also really good but the burrito is always my favorite! Parking is never an issue because they share a parking lot with an auto body shop during off-hours, so there's usually plenty of space. They also have cones to help guide cars entering and exiting the lot. When your food is ready, they call your order number over the microphone/intercom system, then ask if you want red or green sauce and chips. Overall, I've always had a great experience here. If you're in Vallejo and looking for a good taco truck, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
