To start off, my parents and my family have been coming to this store since they first immigrated to the states. Fun fact, my uncle who got deported always remembers Tacos Mexico and misses it like no other. My family is vegetarian, so they are very picky of what they eat and where they eat; and let me tell you this is the place my parents always crave no matter what for Mexican food; they get the right amount of spice and flavor (as Punjabis y'all already know we love our spice lol!) I love their vegetarian burritos as well, but as I'm not vegetarian their recent addition of the Quessbirra tacos are FIRE. I've tried multiple places for Quessbirra tacos, nothing compares to the ones here. One thing I can say is though that the chicken in the chicken burrito just was a little off to me which is why I just stick to the vegetarian burrito, but in regular chicken tacos the chicken is fine. Been hearing old school friends tell me about this truck so been meaning to stop to check it out at some point. Rolling through Vallejo, I knew it was 'somewhere' off the 80 Freeway/Tennessee by that Car Wash place. Located in front of Val's Liquor/Grocery Outlet, this taco truck packs a punch. I ordered a regular Carnitas Burrito (no beans, all rice) and the Canadian ordered a regular Carne Asada Burrito (all beans, no rice, extra jalapanos). They were humongous burritos, quick, tastey, and a great value! Tacos, quesadillas and tortas are also availalbe. Saw a family with kids picnicing on their car and the tortas looked scrumptious. On the other hand, there can be so many trucks that they might all seem to taste the same. At times, some have asked me which is the best taco truck in Vallejo? I am inclined to say that it is this one right here, Tacos Mexico. Right off the bat, I think it's the cheapest truck. In this day and age where a super burrito can cost you $10+, Tacos Mexico is still charging the familiar price of $6-7. So they just might have the most affordable truck in Vallejo, if anything. But they don't stop there. Besides general affordability, they have some of, if not THE tastiest Mexican food this side of V-Town. Juicy carne asada, flavorful chicken, and savory carnitas. You really can't go wrong with any meat choice for your dish. Tacos, tortas, burritos, they are all so good. There is constantly cars parked around this truck. And for good reason. Not only do they offer good prices and great food, but the service is also awesome. Friendly people run the truck and food often comes out in a mere matter of minutes. Even if there's a line. I have never had to wait too long to get my truck fix from here. This truck offers no fancy frills like some of the modern food trucks out there, but it doesn't need to. I've lived in different parts of the country and cities in the Bay Area and every time I come back to Vallejo, I have to come by this truck for steak tacos or a spicy pork super burrito. These tacos are authentic and perfect! I got four tacos, two of lengua and two of pastor with green chili sauce. $6!!! The tortillas were grilled perfectly that it had an awesome crunch and the meat was dead on. I LOVED the green sauce--LOVED! Man oh Man. The super burritos here are so dam screaming. I'm sorry I dont know the real name of this truck but it is the one just across the street from the post office, in the parking lot of the LIKKA store and the new Grocery Outlet. For my tacos, I am loyal to Taco Jalisco but they just cant match the super burritos here!!!! The are really about a foot lonnnnng and so so so so so SO tasty. My son loves the chicken one. Me? I like to mix it up a bit..half carne asada and half chicken...then ADD fresh avocado--and they put tons! OH MY! In fact, there is about 3 inches left from last night...let me go grub on that for breakfast!!!! Went here for a little Cinco de Mayo burrito action. I have to admit there is a certain allure to a roach coach in front of a liquor store. The staff was really friendly and quick and popped my burrito out in no time. I felt like a proud father cradling that gigantic burrito. I closed my eyes and imagined my first magical bite. The intense salivation on the ride home only helped to bolster my expectations. As I got home, took a mandatory shot of tequila and unwrapped it I thought I would be in heaven. I was sorely mistaken. Maybe my tequila goggles hadn't had time to kick in but I found the flavors to be sort of muddled and all over the place. I have yet to find a good burrito up in the Vallejo and Benicia area and this is no exception. read more

The best restaurant / food place in Vallejo. The food here is amazing. I have been coming here for years and this taco truck is most likely the best place to get great quality food in town. I have eaten at expensive 4 - 5 diamond restaurants that didn't serve food at good as this place. The quality and consistently good tasting food at this taco truck can't be beat. They serve good, authentic Mexican food and everything is always well cooked and so tasty. I usually get a bunch of tacos and a cheese quesadila, and my fiance loves their super burritos. Time and time again, I am amazed by how good food coming out of this truck can be. The service and prices are great too. They are always quick to make your food, and the workers always greet you with a smile and are able to accommodate special orders with no problems. For under $20 you can get a huge amount of food (for me and my fiance, we usually get a super burrito, cheese quesadila and 5 - 6 tacos, all for about $20.) Don't be turned off by it being a taco truck. You see everyone from soccer moms and kids, business professionals, druggies, and everything in between buy food from this taco truck, and they have been around for many, many years, and their good food proves why. I even saw the owner drive up one time (he was driving a new Lexus) and he parked right behind the truck, put on an apron, and walked inside the truck and went right to work cooking. I love this taco truck. Personally, I still think its the best taco truck in town for BURRITOS. I used to go here for lunch all the time when I was in high school, and I remember loving the food here. Then I went to college in Southern California, and there you know the Mexican food is hella good! But as soon as I came back to the Bay after graduating, I couldn't find a decent burrito that compared to that which I found in SoCal. Some how, miraculously, right before a Niners game, my friend reminded me of this truck that we used to go to when we were in high school, and low and behold, it was still here. As soon as I took that first bite of my super burrito, I knew I had found the spot. The super burritos here are HUGE. I usually just stand mine up on the table and take bites out of it that way. I used to think this was the best truck in town but today I went there after a few years and it was very disappointing I ordered a chicken burrito as usual and believe it or not it Was CANNED chicken! I just knew it the same canned chicken you get from costco. I couldn't believe it! I asked the man at the window before I ordered if it was marinated chicken because if it wasn't I wouldn't have ordered it but needless to say it was the same stuff I buy at costco for $10.88. The food has two hairs and fuzz in two items. The carne asada in the burrito tasted like corned beef meat and was way too salty and smushy. I will not go back. The employees were nice and the wait was never too long, this place was sharp... They were on it 100%. HOWEVER!!!!! All jokes aside... Today I went to get a burrito and found the blade of one of their knives in it. Really?? How the hell do you loose the blade of your knife and not realize you gave it to a customer nicely wrapped inside a damn burrito?! This isn't even a joke.. be careful coming to this place. Best taco truck, ever!! My entire family has been going here for literally 20+ years!! Can't beat the red sauce, fresh and great flavor. My go to: steak quesadillas so tasty!; beef tacos w/the red sauce -perfect!cut up the jalapeno & add to tacos!! We order 8-12 tacos each time!; beef burritos w/ red sauce are a must too! Super sabroso. This is one of the best taco trucks in the world, or at least in Vallejo. You MUST have their tacos. The cook crisp the bottom tortilla and layers it with a soft one. You always remember your first. Started going here in the mid 90s and I compare every taco truck/taqueria to this truck. Finding a burrito as good as theirs now that i no longer live in Vallejo has become my white whale. I always go with the beef super burrito and I load up on their red and green sauces. Don't get me wrong, the burrito does not need the sauces, the sauces are just that good. The burrito filling is always mixed up well so that you get a little bit of everything in each bite, which I appreciate. A taco truck, seriously five stars? YES!!! I stop here at least once a week now. I have had the tacos, burritos, and a torta. Everything has been fantastic. I've narrowed my favorite down to the pastor super burrito which is enough for two meals...seriously. I eat half for dinner and the second half for lunch the next day. This is one of many Vallejo taco trucks it's Located in a someone sketch area (it's not bad but for non locals they might be) I've tried there burrito quesadilla and tacos all steak so I can only review those but they were really good , especially the tacos the tortilla has a nice little crunch to them like they put it on the grill a little bit . Friendly people work here and they make the food very quickly. Even with many people in line, I've never waited over 10 minutes. I usually eat here on my work breaks and they are so quick I never worry about running out of time for lunch. The super burritos are huge!
