Service // This toy store is nestled in a cute street in La Jolla. We were greeted when we walked…read morein and saw that the staff members were assisting others so we did not have a chance to ask questions. Selection // I have seen some complaints on here regarding their selection and I can't seem to understand why there is frustration/confusion. This is a small store, which means they will have limited products. Overall I think they had a nice selection of toys for babies, toddlers, teens and yes even adults. Some of the most popular items right now are blind boxes from Smiski's, Monchichi and Miffy. I was pleased to see a variety of Snoopy products as well. Again, it is not a large toy store so if you are expecting a vast selection, maybe consider visiting Geppetto's at least for the experience. Value // I would say that this is subjective and will vary depending on each person. Yes, some of the items were a bit expensive and you can find them on "Amazon" for maybe a few dollars cheaper. But I would say if you value supporting local businesses & enjoy the experience of shopping in person, then you will see value in visiting this store. As for the quality of the actual toys, I would say again, that is subjective because the toys are made by different businesses (manufacturers), I would recommend doing research on a specific product it before you buy.

Came here for a Pokemon event while visiting the area, after searching the Play Pokemon website…read more Service: I thought it was great. The locals tournament organizer/judge was efficient and very friendly especially to kids which I really appreciated. Staff for buying products were also friendly and helpful. For the other comment about the kid selling a card and feeling like the kid got lowballed -- I haven't seen any card shop offer 100% market price or even close for people selling cards to any LCS. 40-60% seems the norm, and IMO reasonable given the risk that the shop is taking, and the convenience for the seller. If you want full market price, go ahead and grade it with someone like PSA and then sell on TCGplayer directly yourself. Bashing the store for a typical practice just seems petty. Value: I thought it was fair. Most Pokemon sealed products were at market price and I think it's worth supporting a small business that's part of the local community, especially with all the time/effort/expense of running events. The hours on Yelp are not accurate. I would follow them on Instagram since they update that regularly with hours and event info. I think it's worth coming here, and I would definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

Shout out to Amar, Ron, Justin, and Ronald for always being patient and kind even when other people are being trolls. Support your local card shop!

Thank you to Corey for the suggestions, we are so excited to start our new games!…read more We came in here looking for good two player games and solo rpg games. The selection is decent, though a little limited. They seemed to be out of some things but that's okay. We started browsing looking at simple games. Corey asked if he could help and we told him what we were looking for. He said the one we were holding, Rebel Princess, was really fun and he had played it himself. we decided to snag that. He then recommended us Forest Shuffle as a fun game for us too, little does he know that animals like bugs and birds are my entire personality. Such a good read on his part. We loved the game he pitched and took that as well. He showed us around the shop and where to find some amazing used and vintage books (very cool little selection) and where everything else is located. He also suggested me a solo rpg which I will be coming to get! Super thankful for the nice staff and amazing store!

I lost all my old ones in a fire in 07. They had a great choice of hero clix. I almost got all of them. Maybe 4/5 items achieved. Cost a lot but so so worth it. I love heels and villain. I play city of heroes as well. They still had pokemon cards old old cards and new ones too. There was even magic being played while I was there. So so fun!!
