    Carne asada taco

Came for dinner with the family while we stayed over night on a family vacation. The only Mexican place near by. The restaurant decor is minimal but the staff is friendly with excellent timely service. The food was good. There were a couple of cons though. Chips and salsa are extra after the first order which ain't much to begin with. Don't change your order! We ordered one taco for my daughter and change the meat to carne asada. Charged us plenty for that change. The plate cost more than my wive's fajitas. One taco with rice and beans. Be aware of the pricing.

After a longgggg day at Valley of Fire state park we were starving. This is a very small town, the only things open was this and the McDonald's. We were a little reluctant because we are not from the area or Nevada for the matter. But, we were presently surprised with the service and food. Everything was very authentic and the portions were huge. I was happy to support this small business. (:

The service was great, the people were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered our food to go as we were on a roadtrip to Utah. We ordered what we thought was going to be a shareable "snack" and didn't realize how much food we would be getting lol. Got the nachos and a quesadilla. The quesadilla came with a side of beans which I very much appreciated! Their food is definitely fresh and authentic. We would definitely stop by again!

Best Mexican food in Vegas? Drive to Overton. Worth it. Great authentic food in the middle of nowhere.Really really worth it!

My boyfriend and I can here for dinner because we stayed across the street at Northshore Inn. There weren't any other options in the area so we were skeptical about the food but, wow, everything exceeded our expectation! Our server was Santiago! He was great and so sweet! We got the steak picado, steak fajita, extra guacamole (which we learned we didn't need to order because each of our entre also came with it), shrimp and fish taco a la cart, and a free Sundae for my birthday! The steak picado was so so delicious and flavorful! The meat was tender and the portion was huge. Shrimp and fish tacos were also good but I like the shrimp better. And the steak fajita was sizzling good! Nice clean restaurant with very comida sabrosa! I would definitely come back here again when I'm in town and would highly recommend this place!!

One of the only restaurants in the town of Overton was our options were limited to say the least. We were immediately seated when we arrived around 7pm and quickly greeted with water. Our server came over after 5 minutes and we advised we were ready to order since we were hungry after a long day of hiking! My mom ordered the shrimp tostada and loved it. I ordered the beef fajitas and they were so chewy I couldn't even swallow the meet. Since the server never came back to check on the food I flagged down a different server to let her know and she advised she could only give us 10% off the bill because my mom and I had already started eating the rice and beans that came as a side with my fajitas. I'm glad my mom liked her entree but mine was horrible so choose wisely.

    Complimentary chips and salsa.

We love La Fonda! When I want authentic Mexican food and great chips and salsa, this is the only place in town in my opinion.

The menu has a huge variety of breakfast and lunch options. Once in the restaurant, it doesn't feel like you're inside of a hotel. The service was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and our food came pretty quick. The breakfast crêpes were incredible and super fun to eat outside normal French toast and pancakes. My husband and I split a breakfast burrito and it was and more than enough for the both of us, ordering it, wet with avocado was the move! If you're looking for a solid breakfast spot away from the casino crowds, Cinnamon Café is definitely worth a visit. Between the friendly staff and huge portions it was wort the stop.

Table of 2, traveling over memorial weekend on a Saturday around 1PM, not crowded, few tables full. Took a minute to be sat, was promptly greeted by the waitress. They have a decent size menu, mostly breakfast, but they almost any food you're craving they have, spaghetti, burgers. I ordered the chorizo skillet and the other guest a breakfast burrito. Like a few others have said, food is bland. We ate there traveling back from Vegas. We wanted to try local but you might be better off having something reliable like a chain restaurant throughout Mesquite. Or waiting the 1 hour n half for a spot in Vegas. Overall place is clean and workers were friendly, it was quicker, just the food is alright
