5 Stars for sure! I was in the area and was looking to get a mani/pedi. I called La Flora Nails and they were able to fit me right in. Tammy & Rose each gave me a top-notch manicure & pedicure. The Gel manicure lasted well over 3 weeks without a nick and it is now 5 weeks and the only bit that is worn off is due to the growth of my nails. I come in alongside some other customers and I let the owner know I have an appointment and she disregards me and starts talking to the other ladies who came in. When she finally acknowledges me, I'm told to go to the back & look at the gel nail polish. Their selection looked cheap and I was not tempted by any of the colors. I was going to ask if she had any other options but when I turned around she's seated other the customers rather than me. Mind you- they didn't have an appointment. I was promptly seated as a walk-in and offered water/tea. The manicurist that did my nails didn't change the towel that was already on the table and proceeded to take off my gel with the DRILL, not soak off :( My nails are SO thin now. The manicurist herself was very kind but I had to go back because she forgot to apply a second coat of polish to one hand. Once I went back, another lady took over saying my previous manicurist was with a client (understandable), and this lady put the second coat on very sloppily. I rely on Yelp reviews to guide me to the best places...which is why I feel obligated to put in my two cents on La Flora. I found them on Yelp and thought their reviews sounded great. I've now been here four times for their gel manicure and every time they have been very friendly. But, here's the real deal: They are super busy and extremely understaffed. I was in today, just for a nail fix, and they only had 3 people working. You just can't run a popular nail salon with only 3 manicurists. Sometimes there's 4 of them, but still, the place is always busy, so it's still not enough. The first time I was there (with an appointment), the manicure took 2 hours. What happens is they'll start you, and then they'll leave you sitting there to work on other clients. You never really get their full attention, which can be frustrating. I've seen many disappointed people waiting for long periods of time, and even leaving, because they were misled about how long they would actually need to wait. I have tried to not let the run-down appearance of the salon bug me, but today as I was looking around, I really was shocked. It's pretty bad. I've never seen a salon in that kind of condition. The utensils are clean...but the actual condition of the salon is not what you'd ever expect to see. Anywhere. They're doing so much business that I'm surprised they haven't invested in any kind of upgrading; at least a fresh coat of paint on the walls to hide the scuff marks or some new floors. The massage chairs are super old and barely work as well (I tried them the one time I also got a pedicure). If you do venture in, you will probably walk out with nice looking nails. However, I usually end up leaving feeling stressed, either because I'm late or because the nervous energy in the salon has actually stressed me out! I hope La Flora nails makes some changes to avoid losing customers. They are very nice people, but they also need to realize that their customers are only forgiving for so long. read more

i heart this place. The couple who owns it really cares about what they do. They are so sweet and really strive to do their best work. It has been hard to find a good nail place here (being from NYC... where most all nail salons ROCK) The prices are reasonable and their Gel-ish nails are RIDICULOUS!!! They last me 3-4 weeks. It is unreal! Really unbreakable... and I am super harsh on my nails. I cleaned the house, I shoved my hands in my purse, dug for my keys... They are SO worth it. The pricing is fair... The place is clean and the color/gel selection is awesome..parking was a little difficult and be careful to not park in the big 5 parking lot there's an attendant that chills there.
