Easy on the salt food is good but too much seasoning salt love it tho but can't enjoy the taste that's it

HORRIBLE customer service. Very rude to African American customers. & they purposely gave me the wrong amount of change back from a $20. My food came out to roughy 8 dollars and she only gave me around $6 back. Once I went outside and counted my money & realized that she short changed me, I went back..she looked at me for a moment and handed me extra money back without saying a word. I've been eating at La Fe for more than 7 years now and the food is amazing! The portions they give are huge and the prices aren't expensive. I recommend trying the Chicharrón and the Mangu, they are so good and the Ensalada Mixta is the Bomb! The place gets lots of people during he holidays and they take pernil orders for people who don't want to bother with it. The pernil is yummy and a lot but make sure to order it about a week in advanced so you get one (they go really fast)! read more

I had food from this place one day and had food poisoning which had me sick for a week and in the hospital. I mentioned that I got sick from a food joint in Paterson and a buddy of mine (without me telling him) asked if I happened to eat at La Fe. This place needs to be shut down. I called to file a complaint with the health department. I also work with Andre V. and a group of people at our job ordered and all got sick. The wrath of the gods came shooting out of my anus after I ate at this place. Stay away!! You have been warned. read more

One of the worst places to order food from ever! One Star is too good for them, This is a reason to have negative star ratings! No one place has made more people at my job sick than this. This restaurant is not sanitary. My mother bought some food from there on 3/14/10 and we all got food poisoning. My mom said the restaurant kitchen looked dirty but since she was with a friend who recommended it she felt bad and gave them the benefit of a doubt. I placed a status update on facebook about my food poisoning in this Dominican restaurant and one of my friends commented if I bought it at La Fe. I work for AT&T in Paramus and colleagues at my job have ordered from La Fe became very sick. This place is notorious for selling old expired food and cases of food poisoning. I contacted the sanitation department and they are going to be investigating. I have hospital discharge papers stating that we suffered from food poisoning. By the way my whole family had different dishes from the restaurant. Let that marinate. read more

I don't get the bad reviews though I notice they are pretty old, maybe the place has changed hands since then, cause our office orders food from here almost every week and none of us have ever gotten sick. The food is delicious, I love their pernil. I've never been to the restaurant itself so I got nothing to say there but on the phone they are nice and delivery is pretty quick. read more
