Chicken Lomo Saltado (without tomatoes and onions)

The food and the drinks are good. We went on a Monday and waited longer than we should have for our food, especially since it was mostly empty. The ambiance was good they were playing old school bachata which I enjoyed.

1/2 pollo chaufa and yuca fries

Good was amazing! Came for a quick bite and got 1/2 pollo w chaufa and yuca. The chaufa has amazing flavors, very different from any fried rice I've had. We also had vaso chicha, it's a purple drink that tastes like cinnamon, wasn't a huge fan but it's different. The hot sauce was amazing, ask for it! Their green sauce was also good! I saw someone had calamari and crab, looked amazing. Someone also had steak and chicken over a skillet and that looked great. Would love to try that next time!

This Restaurant serves old food reheated rice. I tried them out once before. Actually was grabbing food before I went home to get ready for work. Had to return it. The rice was old. The manager remade the food and gave me two free juices. So I thought I'll give them another chance. This time I had just left work. Goes in order the food waited for the food which took about 20 minutes. The chicken was fresh yet salty. But the chaufa rice in which you pay more came out old refied with big chunks of eggs in it. I refuse to ever go back to this place. I know Chaufa is suppose to have egg and vegetables. They forgot the veggies.

This restaurant is near my job so we come here a lot for the lunch. There's street parking which can be challenging to find but there is parking deck ($) a block away. Lunch specials include appetizer, entree, and a drink which is on the special Menu. The lunch specials change daily and sometimes a few popular dishes will stay on the menu. The cart menu has a lot more options but cost more because bigger portions. Lunch specials are great option because its cheaper and a good size portion for lunch. I've introduced so many coworkers to this restaurant. The food is great, never had any issues. Also if you have a bigger party you can go in the second room which makes it more intimate. Con: their are some staff members that have attitude and are not that attentive. Also For birthdays we order sangria and for whatever reason they say only one person can make the sangrias, so if is he is not there, no sangria for you. Makes no sense especially because you will see her make margaritas or pina coladas but she cant make sangrias. that i don't understand.

We didn't come for the food, we came for the drinks. And the pisco sour is on point, there were different flavors and of course I had to try the chicha morada. Delicious choice, then my family had different flavors of margaritas which turned out to be totally flavorful. We got there about 10 minutes before happy hour and we happened to find out about it thru a sign on the wall. After our regular priced drinks we stuck to happy hour and that was great. The ambiance of the restaurant was super chill we got there at almost 2 pm and had the bar to ourselves. The managers were so welcoming to us ordering our music and he played it all for us. We danced the day away and enjoyed our drinks for sure! It was such a fun time. We danced, sang, partied the day away!

First, not all Len Y Cabon restaurants are the same. This location Peruvian flavored dishes are served with an upscale flair. And the weekend dj rocks the contemporary and classic Latin music that some customers dance to on the floor. In Passaic, neither resturants provide the enjoyable and romantic comida experince like above location. Also, the alcoholic drinks are reasonable priced here.... Dime disfruta!

I ordered Churrasco Especial with the tallarin huancaina which is $27. And the server Carlitos gave me a plate with what I ordered plus a bowl of arroz de mariscos which I didn't order and he said it comes with my plate... and then proceeded to charge me $60 and when I asked him about it he said it was cause I ordered without bone??? And he said he'll fix it and by fix it he means remove just $10... the food wasn't even that good and I had to pay for his mistake. Will not come back and would not recommend. That being said, the live music was really good

Came to have dinner here with family Friday night. Service was slightly below average. I'll break down my review in those categories service, food and ambiance Service- We started with one female server and then without notice we had another one. We requested certain items extra limes, cheese for pasta, etc and either never received it or took a little longer than usual to receive. When we received our bill the gratuity was already included even though our table was a fable of 3 people--perhaps that's why service is subpar ‍--in any case not only was gratuity added but we were overcharged on one of our dishes. Not cool! Ambiance Restaurant is located in downtown Paterson area and parking can be a bit tricky--there's street parking and usually they're some spots available. The inside of the restaurant looked clean, however the seating was a bit awkward--the booth-like seating that runs along the wall felt extremely elevated in comparison to seating (chairs) at the table. There seemed to be a back room that was some sort Of nightclub where people we dancing and I think can also order fold from that area too. Food I ordered the carbon chicken, well since the name of restaurant indicates this is their specialty I decided it was a safe choice. However it didn't feel as flavorful as I was expecting. I had to add some of the sauces they gave us at the table to spice it up. Side note on food--they bring these dried corn kernel type appetizer which is complimentary and are usually pretty good but these tasted a bit stale :/. My ordered a fish dish and she was underwhelmed by it. My husband ordered a pasta dish with steak and he let me try some of our the steak was not the best quality (in my opinion). In the even the experience was fair nothing spectacular and not sure Im too keen on returning.

Salad and bistec encebollado

So this place is definitely a hit or miss depending on what you get. Some dishes are really tasty and others are just mediocre. The good: anticuchos, chaufa, lomo, most of the apps, seafood (most times) and of course the pollo a la brasa The mediocre: bistec encebollado, tallerines verdes (only tried once but was way too salty) Since it's in downtown Paterson, street parking isn't always easy here but there's a parking deck nearby. Lastly, servers here have always been friendly and attentive during my visits, and the inside is nicely set up (restaurant ambiance in the front, and bar/club vibe in the back). Overall, a decent Peruvian option in the area.

Food was great but service not so much. Our waitress took our order and after 15-20minutes came back to read us our order. I was confused because I thought she had already put in our order but we let it slide. Then we got our appetizer, after that we got our main dishes and our drinks still had not arrived. We looked for our waitress to ask about our drinks, but she was nowhere to be found. Eventually we saw another guy walking and asked him about our drinks and that was when he went behind the bar to make them. We went on a Tuesday so maybe they were low on staff, but it is still a bit ridiculous to get our drinks so late. The food on the other hand was delicious, but when we got our bill the prices were different than the price on the menu. At this point another person came and told us our waitress was new and was suppose to tell us the prices on the menu had changed. We were told that we should have scanned QR code to get the correct menu, but our waitress had never even given us the QR code. Overall, the ambiance and food was good, I just hope their service improves.

WOW! One of the first Peruvian restaurants in the area that leave me wanting to come back! The Pollo a la Braza (Peruvian roasted chicken) is tasty, juicy and overall amazing! The service could use some improvement, when we first walked in, they gave us a table in the back, the music was way too loud and it was dark with color lights flashing. After sitting there for a few minutes, we asked to be moved to the other side of the restaurant where the music was at lower level and the regular lights were on. It took them about 20 minutes to hear us out. The food made the trip worth it and the 5 stars.

Tallarin A La Hauncaina Con Churrasco (Chuck Steak)

They didn't include any green sauce, without it chicken was overly bland and dry. Really disappointing.

If I have an amazing dish out somewhere, I can usually carry it home in my head and come up with a knockoff that's not half bad. Christmas Eve was always my big night -- also my birthday -- when I hosted the Feast of the Seven Fishes. At one point, over 30 people would pack in to share it. For 30 years straight, the fish came from one place only: Peter's Seafood in Midland Park. But tonight, what's on my mind isn't Yelp or fish markets. It's my neighbor Pete. He was my best friend here -- a guy who could spin stories about New York in the 1950s like he was giving you a private tour. Sometimes he'd get a "Woolley" (that's Italian for craving) for lobster or clams. I'd drive north to Peter's, haul it back to Monroe, and we'd make a night of it: good food, better conversation. Pete passed away this weekend. I know it comes with the territory of living in a senior village -- neighbors will pass on. But this is my first loss here, and it feels like a big one.Pete would laugh if I told him that I needed to add great ambience in my side yard to make this a complete Yelp review...
