    1/4 sheet guava cake

The guava cake was amazing. It was the best cake I have ever tasted! I am not exaggerating. I ordered a 1/4 sheet guava cake for a friend's birthday that same day (Wednesday). It was available, and they added a nice birthday message upon purchase. It was such a smooth, fast transaction. The cake was incredibly delicious. It was not too sweet - just right. The fruit decorations were beautiful, and the color and texture of the mousse were amazing. The mousse had a creamy, smooth texture. I wanted to get another slice of cake, but I withheld the urge Everyone loved it and asked where it came from. I'm actually going to start requesting this as my birthday cake every year from this bakery! Such a delight! I cannot find enough words to adequately describe my delectable experience. I'm still reeling!

    Rainbow Swiss rolls- yummy
    Jaane F.

I bought their rainbow swiss roll cakes, which come in different flavors. I never saw any shop doing this. You get to try a different taste. I like their swiss roll, if you are not sweet. This is a must-try cake to get. The cake is soft and spongy. Also, I had their frozen food, like shrimp wontons and beef dumplings. Both are also good, and the price is very reasonable for the packaging. I will come back here more often to try out others.

    fluffy Japanese cheesecake ($15)
    Hesper W.

Came here for the individual mousse cake and was pretty disappointed when they didn't have any. There was a box of sliced fluffy Japanese cheesecakes that I opted getting, but soon regretted it because of how expensive it was for 4 small slices ($15). Each slice was a different flavor: matcha, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. They were light and fluffy, and filled with whipped cream which was surprising since Japanese cheesecake doesn't have cream in it. Each flavor was distinctive and delicious, but it seriously wasn't worth the price.

Review for baked goods only! Stopped by here after visiting the Lion Market as a newbie to Fremont. The store looked tiny but they do sell frozen dumplings, drinks and cakes along with baked bread. Their assortment of bread included pineapple bun (which I got), hot dog bun, taro bun, cream bun, toast... etc. I quite enjoyed the ones I got. Didn't get a chance to try anything else but definitely in my plans to visit here again.

GREAT FROZEN CHINESE DUMPLINGS HERE. If you have frozen dumplings on your grocery list don't get them from the grocery store, get them from here. Review is only for the frozen dumplings and not their baked goods. They taste fresher, the skins are thin, and it's bursting with fillings. They are located in the freezer on the right side when you walk in, they will be in black takeout containers with clear lids or in bags. They were almost sold out around 2:30 pm which means tons of people are buying them. Some pricing for the ones we bought: -Pork wonton = $6.99 -Shrimp, Pork, Chive Wonton = $7.99 -Shrimp, Pork, Chive dumpling = $x.xx (forgot pricing) The dumpling we pan-cooked gyoza style with oil and did the other half boiled. Both were really good and tasted home-made and fresh, like something an older relative would make. Wontons same high quality, very good in leftover chicken soup on a cold day. If you've never been here it's inside the Lion Market, just look for Lion in the plaza and walk in, it'll be down the entrance walkway on the left.

Ordered two cakes for my bf's birthday: durian and peach/mango cake. They were able to accommodate making two smaller cakes which was nice, a few places I called couldn't do it. When I got there, the place was really hot and there were barely any bakery items on the shelves. I was a little nervous for how the cake was going to turn out. The cake wasn't ready as promised but it was delicious! My bf enjoyed the durian cake but not so the peach/mango cake. I didn't even try the durian cake (yuck!) but the peach/mango cake was delicious! Both cakes weren't too sweet. I'd definitely come back and order more cakes from here.

Unique flavors for fruit cake! My sister really wanted guava or passionfruit cake. Both fruit cakes were hard to find in SF due to not being in season, places not open because of the lockdown, and/or requires a special three day order in advance. Surprisingly, La Faralla had both of these fruity flavors ready in the back kitchen! Not only that, but they even had lychee mousse cake. I ended up ordering the guava and lychee mousses for my sister's birthday and brother's graduation, which were good; semi-sweet and moist. Perfect for Asian taste buds! 8" cost $32 10" cost $45 Located inside the plaza with lots of parking but service was just a bit slow esp after the server made a few errors when charging me.

My friend picked up some goodies from this location and I am obsessed! Their pork buns are so juicy, plenty of meat, and the bun is so soft, melt in your mouth! Their white toast bread was also so fluffy and fresh, and I ate about 4 slices in one sitting! Tasty by itself or with butter! Prices also seem very reasonable and will be a frequent spot for me!

We ordered cakes from La Farfalla twice in October 2021 - Black Forest Cake and Strawberry Shortcake. They were both very good - light, not overly sweet. The black forest cake used maraschino cherries rather than fresh (which may be due to seasonality). The ordering process was easy - we placed the orders over the phone a day or two before we needed them. They wrote what we wanted on the cakes and had them ready for pick up on time. One thing we absolutely loved and appreciated was the box the cake came in -- it was beautiful and very functional with handles built in. Made quite the impression and was very useful!

    Food Poison Cake!!

Beware of this La Farfalla Bakery chain store!! my husband ordered a cake here and we all got food poisoning with diarrhea!! we thought the cake was so dry and completely flavorless, on top of it, it was a simple vanilla cake with nothing in it! and was charged the crepe cake price... worst yet! the food poisoning!! We complained and they were so extremely Rude!! Should have read the 1 star reviews before ordering cake from here! all very true!! Can't get worst than this bakery!! go elsewhere!!

Fresh bread doesn't come out till around 11am. Their steamed bun is good. Nice and soft. Their bread prices are pretty cheap compared to other Asian bakeries. I also really like their cakes. I am not a fan of cream so I really enjoy their cakes. Bottom layer is cake and the top is a moose flavor of your choice. I have tried the green tea, mango, strawberry, and lychee moose cakes and all have been very tasty.

11 items for 13.90! Their buy 2 get 1 free is so great.

I'd love to keep Pie Dreams my little secret, but out of respect for the proprietor's mad baking skills, it's behind Dino's. The owner is passionate about his pies and shared his philosophy about how pie can make us all nicer, gentler people. I mean, that's not exactly verbatim, but the pie case made it hard to pay attention. On my visit, there were two savory pies (hand pies) and a selection of sweet pies (hand pies and slices). Being a big supporter of small businesses, I ordered 4. All I can say is I'm super happy I don't live closer. The chicken bacon hand pie was delicious. Big pieces of chicken in a flavorful creamy sauce. There may have been some vegetables in it but I was driving and it was unsafe to inspect my pie closely. The caramel apple hand pie was good. Because I'm not an apple pie fan I appreciated that the apples were sliced thinly, not chunky, and I loved the addition of the sanding sugar on top. I ordered the apricot frangipane (AF) for two reasons: it was double-crusted and it didn't have whipped cream on top. I wasn't totally on board with frangipane since my experience with it in boxed chocolates was "meh." Plus they seem to love it on the Great British Bake-Off and it always looks so unappealing. But paired with the tartness of the apricots and a crust that reminded me of shortbread, I think the AF was my favorite, though I haven't tried the blueberry lemon yet. If you love pie, go to Pie Dreams and have a slice or three (no judgment here). If you're not sure or don't think you like pie, go to Pie Dreams. You may surprise yourself.

Now for the options, they all sounded good and were hard to choose from! I like that they have specials of the month, seasonal, and mainstays. The coconut pudding pie was sooo good, loved the texture and flavor, they had toasted coconut on the side to add on top. The fresh silk pie was my favorite! It was not overly chocolatey and had a nice mousse texture, there was an under layer of crisp ganache that made all the flavors and textures pop! The crust is nice and buttery and flakey. These were not heavy pies, just creamy light melt in your mouth. They also have frozen pies so you can take and bake yourself. This definitely satisfied my sweet tooth, and will be back this time to order a whole pie!
