My team had a guest in town and was looking for a business lunch. La Factoria had been on our radar so off we went. The location is unsuspecting - lower level of The Yard apartments, across 2nd from industrial warehouses. Not the sort of place you wander into accidentally.
The interior is that non-nonsense semi-industrial chic that seems to me popular. It's photo-ready but not exactly warm. The bar is impressive in size and scope but being a working lunch, was off the menu. Next time.
Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive.
We started with a round of chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and the salsa was tasty.
The menu is large and in charge for brunch and dinner. I opted for the breakfast enchiladas (despite reservations about enchiladas made using flour tortillas), my companions went with the Piso 21 salad, the breakfast burrito and the Don Benedicto (chosen in a coin flip vs the Golden Duo chick and waffles)
Everyone really enjoyed their meals and noted the portion sizes were large. It was a good experience and I'm sure I'll be back - particularly for a happy hour sometime read more
