We came here and got the birria burrito and it was INSANE best burrito in Miami. The Argentinian girl at the counter was also the sweetest. Definitely returning!

Food was 10 out of 10. I love how they mix dominican culture and food with mexican food. This is a perfect spot for good Dominican food.

I ordered a cafe con leche, a Cuban sandwich and a Media Noche sandwich. Everything was delicious. Especially the media noche sandwich. I've had plenty of media noches in my life, but never as good as this one. Not sure what kind of bread they use for their media noche, but it was so soft, just the perfect amount of sweetness. The Cuban sandwich of course was good, but tasted similar to others I've had. I can definitely see myself returning next time we're in the area.

Don't get me wrong, food was delicious but was it breathtaking good? No. The reason I said that was when we walked in, one side was counter and the other was sit down. At the sit down it looked like a decent amount of locals while the sit down were just out of towners. The waitress was very kind and helped us get situated. My friends and I were recommended the Oxtail Stew, the fried pork chops, the medium cubano, sweet plantains, and the ham croquettes. The Oxtail was very flavorful, came with a side of rice and 3 pieces of plantains. The fried pork chops were a little too dry and had the texture of fried fish almost. I think it came with 4 or 5 pieces total for the order with a side of rice and beans. The cubano was rather large for the medium side which I appreciated. The plantains were probably my favorite dish out of all as they were really sweet, ripe and well made. The ham croquettes, this could be a me thing but i was expecting cheese and it was all ground ham. The fry on it was good though! Overall, great spot for a quick bite. Not too nosy, not too fancy. The only downside was that because it's in a popular area and there's a popular opinion of the restaurant, the food is a bit overpriced for what it is. Otherwise, I would say give it a try!

I love the creativity with their food and drinks names (such as La Flaca, Una Vaina Fina, & Que Mas). It is definitely a fusion! I ordered sushi (specifically the Crispy Roll), and there was no fish in it. Instead, it had chicken and cheese and maduros (sweet plantains), but I loved it. It was something different and unique. I also ordered the Bemberry drink, and I enjoyed it. They have covered outdoor seating, which we loved! They have fans in this area, and since it is covered, it is fairly cool. You definitely do hear a lot of traffic and horns since it is right next to a busy intersection, but it didn't necessarily bother my friend and I. The staff were super friendly, fun, and attentive, and they just made the experience better. There is some street parking available, but it is a bit limited with all the apartments nearby. They do have an option for valet parking behind the restaurant. I think the sign said $10 or $15.

The food is consistently good and definitely hits the spot when you're craving Dominican food. Music spills out onto the sidewalk, the staff greets you like long-lost cousins, and the Colombian food? It punches above its weight. Ceviche that snaps with citrus and heat. The food was okay at best, honestly probably the weakest part of the whole experience. But that's not really why you go. The live music, the open dance floor, the whole vibe and atmosphere here is top notch. Came here for my birthday week and had such a fun, amazing time. We were thoroughly engaged with the band the whole night, they even handed us instruments to play along with at one point, which is not something that happens at most restaurants. Service was great, and the staff genuinely seemed to be having as much fun with us as we were having with them. Come for the party, not the plate, and you'll leave happy.

They have such cute drinks! I just got pineapple juice but my friends got their coconut drink and mojito and said it was to die for! They give you these plantain chips to snack on and they are so good! It's got a sweet, salty, and crunchy chip texture to it. For an appetizer, we got a sampler which had ropa vieja, plantains, empanadas, shredded pork, and some large fried potatoes. I loved that so you get to try a little bit of everything. The ropa vieja tasted just like grandmas. They use ropa vieja as the filling in the empanadas. The fried potato's was steak fry cut style. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just how a perfect fry should taste! Everyone really liked the vaca frita! I think that's a must try! It's shredded beef marinated in this delicious citrus marinate. They fry it afterwards so it's pull apart, melt in your mount soft, with a nice crispy crunch to it. I think this is a must get dish. The desserts were delicious too! The flan was perfectly soft and creamy. The tres leches was delicious as well. This is a great place to have some good Cuban and enjoy a beautiful night out in Miami!

For a Friday evening, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but the ambiance was actually great. The music definitely added to the experience, especially some good Marc Anthony tunes in Spanish that I really enjoyed! The atmosphere was lively and gave us that Latin vibe we were hoping for. Our server, Diego, was incredibly attentive and really went above and beyond. At times it almost felt like he was trying too hard to make sure we were happy, but honestly, we appreciated the effort! We started with the empanadas and the avocado salad with chicken. The chicken on the salad was disappointing. It had the texture and appearance of previously frozen/reheated chicken rather than the freshly grilled chicken we were expecting. For our entrées, we tried both the steak and a chicken dish. Unfortunately, neither worked for us. Both lacked the flavor we were expecting and instead seemed to rely heavily on salt. We ended up not finishing either dish. The cocktails didn't save the evening either. I started with a lychee martini, which wasn't as good as I had hoped, followed by a Mai Tai that also could have been better. I also saw my drink being taste-tested twice at the bar before it was brought over, which admittedly left me a little unsure about drinking it afterward. And then... THE FLAN! Finally, something I can rave about. They make a VERY good flan, and it was easily the highlight of our dinner. That's all I'll say! :) Overall, the ambiance was great, the music was fun, Diego worked hard to make sure we were taken care of, and the flan was excellent. Unfortunately, when it came to the actual entrées and cocktails, the experience just didn't deliver for us. There are too many Cuban restaurants around to explore, so we'll be trying others rather than returning to this one.
