    Lamb Shank

Do not miss this amazing restaurant. It is beyond your wildest dreams. I had the duck with Orange sauce and mash potatoes to die for. The Hot Goat cheese appetizer is a scrumptious feast. And with their side of fresh honey it is absolutely fantastic and beyond anything we have had. My husband had the Lamb Shank with raspberry sauce. It was incredible. Run don't walk to this place. Get there early so you can have one of their seven tables. Bravo!!!!!

When I say I love La Cucina, I truly mean it. I'm absolutely obsessed with Leo, the reason I keep coming back. Leo is like the lead singer of a band--his energy and charisma are what make La Cucina so special. This quaint little gem is tucked away around the corner down a narrow alley, making it a bit of a hidden treasure. With only ten seats available, it's definitely a place where you'll want to arrive early; otherwise, you might end up waiting an hour and a half for a table. There's always a line outside of people patiently waiting to get in. Now, let's talk about the food--it's EVERYTHING! The menu is just one page, but every item packs a punch. I've tried almost everything on the menu at least twice, and each dish has left me craving more. La Cucina will always be my number one choice whenever I'm in Nice. It's an absolute MUST!

    Truffle pasta was divine.

This is a small restaurant with only 5-6 tables. We came by 3 nights in a row before we got a table. So come early because it is worth the wait. Every dish we had was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. Service was great, they make you feel like family once you sit down to dine. Should be on everyone's list when visiting Nice.

    Front line!!! Show up early

Lovely food, it's my go to place when I am in Nice. The pasta with four gras and cognac... a must!! Love the pear and Gorgonzola salad. It feels like having a flower garden in your plate. Thank you for the excellent cuisine.

I spent 11 days in Nice, and dined at La Cucina for 9 of those evenings. My only regret is wasting two nights at nearby restaurants--nothing compared to this place. I tried almost everything on the menu: everything was served hot, extremely fresh, and full of authentic Italian flavor. Great balance of tastes and a wide drink selection. The homemade cocktail, available only here, was my favorite. They're open only for dinner, and although I waited about an hour, it was absolutely worth it. The place was very clean, and the staff were incredibly kind and professional. Highly recommended

    Truffle pasta and salmon pasta

Every thing was phenomenal. We had the salmon and truffle pasta, pear and Gorgonzola salad, and lava cake. So worth the wait time. We are planning on going there for dinner again before we leave. The atmosphere also had the tables talking to each other. We all had a great time, enjoyed the food, and made new friends.

The BEST Armenian owned Italian restaurant in the world. The most amazing food and atmosphere, everyone is so friendly and caring, I wanted to stay forever. Every dish is cooked with love, out of every place I have eaten in the South of France, this is truly the best and felt very special. We had the most beautiful time!

Worth the wait. Just get early and put your name down. Have some wine while you wait, it was one of the best nights we had in Nice. Get the pesto pasta and lamb shank. Service was incredible and I look forward to coming back.

Great food! Small place with a wait but absolutely worth it. Truffle pasta is also great. Ravoli was also amazing,

Lots of outside tables(I was hot!) lol

What a great find! It is located on a small side street tucked away from the touristy spots. It doesn't take reservations so come early for delicious food with lots of flavor presented with care. We ordered two grilled breads with toppings (a fancy open sandwich). Both were delish!

Rude waiter, loves to say "relax" which I don't think he knows comes off very rude in English but food is great and creamy! Be aware of a wait time.

    Porcini ravioli

Most delicious porcini ravioli in a small personal setting. The wait was worth it! I highly recommend when in Nice.

Enjoyed a nice evening at La Cucina. Recommend it for the pasta and even the steak. The red wine and the sangria were also tasty.

It happened to be happy hour so I was able to take advantage of some great drink deals. For my dinner, I ordered the duck with vegetables, potatoes, and added a side of ratatouille. It was all very good and the portions were large for the price. The orange sauce was unique and it seemed to have orange peels in it as well. While this might be more of a touristy spot with this location, it was a true French menu, which was my goal. The food and service were very good and I'll come back.

Maybe not fair for them, but on our previous night, the previous chicken dinner was 5 stars for her. I got the beef stew over gnocchi. Not bad, but even for a light eater, it was NOT enough food for me?!?! Got a glass of Bordeaux which was good, until I noticed the locals got twice as generous of a pour?!? The second time I noticed this while dining out... Happy for them, but to see the inconsistency affects me... Ambiance - Small local business/restaurant. Prime tourist location/area. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. One unisex toilet. Service - Welcoming. Made online reservations, but because we are NOT tech savvy, it booked the wrong time. So since we were in the area, we just walked by and asked them to change the time and had no problems. Price - 49 Euros, $57 USD. Expensive for what we got IMO. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.

This was our favorite meal of our trip to Nice!…read more Warning: Reservations are hard to come by we dropped by and only reservations available were for 9pm two nights later. We took it. The place is super relaxed. 5 maybe 6 tables which made the difficulty of reservations more understandable. Prix fix menu - 4 appetizers to choose from, 4 entrees and 4 desserts. We were there with somewhat of a limited diet, but the options were awesome. We got a cauliflower appetizer and an artichoke one. Both were excellent. We all had the cod for dinner also delicious - served in a bath of traditional fish soup and with potatoes. The dessert was also excellent - we got the goat cheese in olive oil and garlic, the cream cheese with blueberry compote, lemon cheesecake and cinnamon "tiramisu". Every bite was full of flavor and such cool takes on the food. Now the intangibles - we arrived for our 9pm reservation, restaurant closes at 9:30 and we probably didn't walk out until 11:15 and there was still another table of 8 people dining. The host/waiter, Sebastian, was awesome. So friendly and we at no point felt rushed. In fact the opposite. When our daughter was slow in finishing her meal he joked with her instead of hurrying us along. Once we finished our main dish, he casually brought us our dessert and because we didn't order his favorite (we didn't know) he brought us out an extra to enjoy. We felt a little bad so somewhat accelerated the dessert phase so we could square up and leave. Instead he was unhurried, he casually cleared our table and chatted with us for a bit. It took us another 15 minutes before we finally said could we get the bill. He brought it to us another 5-7 minutes later. We had a great experience and one of our best meals in France, if not the best.

An amazing, unexpected meal…read more We didn't even have a reservation, but somehow got super lucky just walking in. My friend who made our itinerary had this place on the list of places to eat at, but we didn't have a resy so we didn't have our hopes up. It was fairly late when we walked by. I saw a pretty big crowd outside, shockingly mostly Americans. We put our name in and less than 5 mins later we got seated - ahead of people who were there before us. They led us to a sorta corner table, overlooking the kitchen. We got to watch the talented chefs do work all night. The smells coming from the kitchen honestly got me feeling wild thoughts. Like damn. For some reason we all decided to do a la carte. Maybe because it was late. Someone got risotto, I got the pork chop and the other got lamb. We all loved what we got, but agreed that mine was the best. This is the kind of place that would be my go to spot if I lived here. Awesome vibes, innovative food and overall great atmosphere
