My girlfriend and I have had crepes in italy, Ireland, Seattle, and around the bay area and La Crepe a Moi makes the best crepes....apparently in the world. The owners are fantastic people. Rebekka calmly and elegantly takes your order while cooking and assembling the crepe of choice with an excellent attitude. I have thoroughly enjoyed the results ~ we speak of how some folks don't want to wait the few extra minutes it might take to enjoy a custom made crepe and I have to laugh that this world has gotten so impatient! I consume one of these every week in Sausalito when La Crepe a Moi is at the farmer's market. These folks are great! read more

La crêpe à moi has been coming to the Kensington Farmers' Market most Sundays since January 24. DJ and Rebecca get a lot of action -- it's typical to see a sizable line -- and the crepes looked pretty good to me. I tried a complète (egg, ham and cheese) and was more impressed by the outside of the crepe (the cooked batter) than the inside. The savory crepes are made from buckwheat flour, just like in the old country. The resulting shell is more or less perfect. My filling, though was a 2-star affair. The ham seemed to be of low quality and didn't taste authentic to me. The egg was fully cooked on the side and then inserted into the crepe; in France, it's more typical to find a sunny side up egg (with yolk intact) at the center of the folded crepe. The cheese seemed to have come pre-ground in a bag and didn't taste authentic to me. I'll take Fat Daddy's BBQ over these crepes any time. Four stars for the exterior, two stars for the interior, three stars overall. read more

Very salty, very dry la complete. They ask me if I want salt and pepper, how do I know the ham they use is salty. Adding salt on top of salty ham makes it even bad. They are they ones making and selling it they should know better. I ask for some sauce to make the dry crepe softer, they don't even care much. The maker offers to add some cheese and reheat. I bet that makes things even drier. read more

The best crepes I have ever had; I literally chase these guys all over the east bay (including Sausalito) just to have one of their amazing sweet crepes. I love the fact how this business is ran by a couple who split in two in order to be at two different places at the same time. The price of the crepes is nothing compared to the amount of fruit they stuff in their wonderful creations, and before I found this amazing cart in Point Richmond for the first time, I had never ever had a crepe with so much Nutella in it. You can find them in several farmer's markets, such as the one in Point Richmond, Jack London, Sausalito, and San Leandro, among others. Gotta try them if you see 'em!!! read more

La crêpe a moi at Jack London Square Flea Market has horrible customer service. Today was the very first time I tryed a crape. Myself and another customer had arrived just before the line backed up and I was next in line. The other women had already placed her order and was waiting already 10 minutes before my arrival. We both ordered classic crapes, just in time before the line backed up. Customers who had odered after us with complicated orders had began receiving thier orders before ours. The wait become as long as 30 minutes for us both. Her possibly longer since she arrived before me!We both realized the unjustified wait and decided to go back once receiving our orders to address what we had witnessed. Thier actions was discriminatory against two African American women who had to wait until others received thier orders though they ordered well after ours. I believe we both experienced racist treatment based on therefore it gets one star. read more

I had the three cheese and it was incredibly bland and the cheese was not quite melted. They asked if I wanted salt, pepper and herbs de provence on it, saying people would get it that way. What she should have said was, "we use the blandest cheese we could find". It's not that hard to buy some tasty cheese I had been interested in trying it because the savory crepes were buckwheat. I should have also been tipped off when everyone else was getting sweet crepes. read more
