Le crepe a moi was excellent. The buckwheat crepes reminded me so much of the savory crepes I had when I was an exchange student in Bretagne. My son devoured his Farmer's Crepe as well. C'etait trop bien! read more

Absolutely adore this place! Crepes are always delicious and filled with the freshest strawberries and bananas (for the Farmer's crepe). Also, tried their savory ground beef crepe and they definitely do not skimp on ingredients. Service is exceptionally pleasant and fast! Highly recommend and personally favor them over the other crepe cafes around the bay. read more

Fantastic crepes! I recommend the organic fresh strawberries with nutella crepe if you are craving something sweet or a organic fresh baby spinach with caramelized onions and swiss cheese if you are fixing for something savory. They use buckwheat flour for the savory crepes. They are large, filling and worth it! read more

I love the way this place smells when I walk in; it just smells magically delicious! My daughter loves the cinnamon crepes but you can't go wrong with any of them. The owner is super friendly and provides excellent service. I always stop by when I'm in the area. Open during Covid for carry out plus there are a few tables available for outdoor dining. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed :) read more

On campus for Cal Day on a Saturday and in desperate need of coffee and breakfast. Perfect spot to grab a delicious ham and cheese crepe and a latter. Thankfully I was first in line as the place got busy with parents and students starting their day. Definitely will come back when I visit my daughter at school. read more

I'm bummed to be writing this review because I love their crepes! I visited Crepe a Moi this afternoon and had a really unfortunate experience. I came by around 2 and was surprised to see how full it was inside, then realizing graduation season at Cal is underway and there are lots of families and friends I town to celebrate with graduates. I placed my order with the very kind cashier, and went to sit outside with my daughter and partner to wait for our crepe. After about 15 minutes, I went inside and kindly asked the cashier how much longer. I needed to know because we were on our way to yet another kids birthday party and could not wait much longer. I was expecting nothing but a response to my question, "how much longer?". Instead, the crepe maker and person in charge, visibly and vocally expressed their displeasure with me, and mouthed to their staff that I just needed to wait. I then simply told the cashier that I wanted a refund. And that pissed them off even more. They then again said I needed to wait, as her two staff could not open register for refund. They looked at me exasperated and said, I can just make your crepe now? I declined and insisted on the refund. Which they gave me along with whatever frustration had brought them to react like that. And you know what's worse? I had tipped generously when I had paid for my food - ahead of product and service rendered . I tipped to have their crepe maker treat me like that. WTF? read more

Was never much of a crepe guy UNTIL I tried this place a few months ago. I first ordered the Classic Crepe and was blown away by how simple yet savory it was that I became an immediate fan. Since then I have come back and tried their Nutella, Farmers and Strawberry Crepe and all have been delicious. Always satisfies my cravings for sweets. Since the crepes are so big, it's like you're eating a meal and dessert at the same time. It's also really cool to watch the chef make your crepe right there. They're really focused when making crepes and seem really passionate about it. Crepe a moi also has decent coffee if you need a caffeine boost. As for the space it's about a regular size for a cafe in Berkeley (which means small to medium seating area). It has a very casual vibe with about four big tables inside, with each table able to seat four. So it's a decent spot to grab food with friends or maybe just chill/study. The music has never been too loud, so you can hear your conversations easily or have a nice study zone. I'm definitely coming back for more, there are still so many crepes I want to try. Also the hours on this Yelp page are wrong as they're open on Mondays and their sign on their front door shows they're open on Mondays. read more

Great place for savory or sweet crepes. This time I had the ham and swiss crepe. It was delicious. The crepe was perfect and is a large portion. Perfect for leftovers or to share. It is good to remember ham can be a little salty so I just asked for pepper only instead of salt and pepper. It was really yummy. I'm looking forward to getting a strawberry, banana, Nutella crepe next time. Highly recommended if you're in the area. read more

La crepe a moi - The last third of my crepe. I'll take home for dinner. So yummy!! - Creperies Near Me - Berkeley, California

Strolled by looking for another restaurant that happened to be closed, and I was so hungry. The savory crepes were affordable and delicious. I love the super food buckwheat batter she uses. Yum-o! read more

Not authentic. Real French buckwheat crepes have a buttery exterior. The ones here are dry. If you order one with the fried egg, it will be scrambled. The authentic French way of making a crepe is folding it in a square and leaving the fried egg sunny side up in the middle. read more

Very good crepes, just not a great variety of crepe options. There are savory crepes and sweet crepes, but both are basically variations of the same 4 or 5 sweet or savory ingredients. This is not necessarily a terrible thing considering most people will be happy with just a Nutella crepe, but when you've been to places that have a gyro crepe or a raclette crepe, you tend to be a little disappointed when the most complicated option is feta, tomato, olive, and herbs. That said, it's a food truck at the farmer's market. I'll take what I can get and it's still the best food option in Jack London Square. Love that the crepe chefs(?) speak French to each other and that the servings are very generous. One crepe is enough to be very full in my experience. If I had to get nitpicky (which I guess is kinda the point here, right?), I'd say the crepes could be a little thinner. Otherwise, excellent stuff and I look forward to every time. read more

La crepe a moi - Farmer's crepe - Creperies Near Me - Berkeley, California

This review is for their crepe stand at the mirage farmers market in Moraga. I have never in my life had to wait so long for a galette. Over 30 minutes for one stupid galette complète. I have gotten crepes from far busier operations in Paris where they only had 1 person working and have never waited more than 5-10 minutes - there were 3 people working at this thing and it still took over 30 minutes. Absolutely insane. I will never return to this stand, nor would I go to their restaurant in Berkeley. read more

My son had a play date at Todos Santos playground. After playing the kids wanted to eat something. We saw La Crepe setting up their stand. I asked if I could place our order since the two kids with me were hungry. The guy said okay. The lady that took our order was very nice and friendly. She was patient too as I let the kids themselves placed their order. We ordered Cinnamon crepe and Organic Strawberry crepe with Nutella. The kids ate all of it in one sitting and it looked really yummy. I tasted my son's crepe and it was great. The price was reasonable for both crepes which was only $12. The kids also love watching them make fresh crepes. It looks easy but a tricky endeavor that requires practice. It's nice that there's a place to get freshly cooked crepes at the Farmer's Market and that they use organic ingredients. Next time I would try the savory crepes myself. They looked delicious too. This stand reminded me of crepe stands in Paris near the Eiffel Tower. It's a "je ne sais qoui" indeed. read more

poor food quality. I got a stomach ache right after. Also the owner is very rude sometimes. You are in for a surprise each time. good luck

This place is fantastic! They are very skilled, so nice, and use wonderful fresh ingredients. Get the caramelized onions!

Mmm, I love crepes and this place does it right. My boyfriend and I visited this place at the Pinole Farmers Market. I ordered the nutella & banana crepe while the bf got the 3 cheese gluten free buckwheat crepe. The crepes were cooked to order so it took a while, but when they were done it was PERFECT. My sweet crepe was filled with tons of banana slices and a good slather of nutella. My bf's crepe was filled with gooey cheese and the buckwheat went well with it. The price was a little steep for me, but I'm willing to pay for it if I'm craving a good crepe on a Saturday. read more

Location: Night Market @ Jack London Square Took a little while to get my Farmer's crepe with the gluten-free buckwheat instead of flour, but it was damn tasty! Best crepes hands down! Been to France myself, tried so many crepes but none compared to this! He is truly a master! So delicious! I use to hunt farmers markets to catch his stand. read more

I've been watching this place during construction in my neighborhood just north of campus, waiting to give it a try. Having just eaten there, I am not disappointed. The crepes made by DJ - the owner - are better than any I've had outside of France and as good as any I had when I lived in Paris and Brittany. The savory crepes (galettes) are made with buckwheat flour, as they should be, but rarely are in the US, and are delicious - I had egg, cheese, carmelized onion, and spinach. And the sweet crepes are a delight as well - I went for the classic lemon, butter, and sugar. Fantastic. While you can't eat inside now due to COVID, it is beautifully done. When you go in, be sure to check out the gorgeous parkay table tops. Importantly, a lot of attention paid to cleanliness and safety. This is a welcome addition to my neighborhood. This is the kind of place that will be packed once people begin to go out more - I'm glad to have the chance to go now before the crowds. read more

Berkeley has needed a good crepes place near campus for a while now and this place fits the bill! The crepes taste great and the price is very reasonable. You get a lot of delicious crepe for the price you pay, and the service was very friendly. I especially liked the Nutella Strawberry flavor and the Farmers Crepe. The savory flavors looks delicious as well. Consider this my new go-to crepes spot! read more

I've been a huge fan of La Crepe a Moi at the farmer's markets and fairs. Can't wait to get in (for take out) at the downtown shop location! My Franco American child has taught me to love the sweet and the savory (buckwheat) crepes. We will go here when he visits in a couple weeks. read more

Enjoy grabbing a treat from this place on Sundays at the Jack London Farmer's Market. They offer a variety of sweet or savory crepes perfect for the brunch/lunch time while you shop for fresh produce or handmade items from other vendors. Crepes are made ready to order with fresh ingredients (expect about a 5-10 wait depending on the crepe you order). Two varieties of crepe mix, regular (sweet) or buckwheat (savory). Staff are just as sweet and speak French. Accepts cash and credit cards. read more

Maybe you've noticed...I'm a major crepe snob. If I weren't me, I'd read my crepe reviews and think "dang, that girl really thinks she's the crepe authority." Well the truth is, I kind of am. Basically, I've eaten a ridiculous amount of crepes and am happy to report that La Crepe a Moi is almost exactly what my ideal crepe would be: starting with a hearty buckwheat batter, poured to order, and developing a crispy, golden-brown crust when it's been griddled to perfection. Meanwhile, it's covered with a layer of grated swiss cheese, and filled generously - not quite stuffed - with fresh spinach, sweet carmelized onions, or whatever else you fancy in your crepe concoction, and folded into that signature carbolicious triangle. This lovely display of French-ish gastronomy set me back $8.50 at the Jack London Square farmers market, which seemed steep for a paper-plate meal. But, after I had the chance to admire this expertly crafted crepe, served by the friendliest crew of tented chefs, I must say...it's worth the cashola. And definitely worth the 5-star crepe snob seal of approval! read more

la crepe a moi(this crepe of mine) is operated by dj(the french guy and cook) and his wife, rebekka. dj was cooking in france for 20 years before coming to the states. menu: sweet crepes (made from organic flour) and savory crepes. (made from buckwheat flour, gluten free) locale: various festivals, farmers markets: emeryville, orinda. lines: short prep time: 5 minutes +. sampling: 3 cheese crepe (6):swiss, provolone, and mozzarella. -kind of bland but very cheesy. -dj asks: "do you want herbs, salt, and pepper added?" . i opted for a minimal amount. should have added more for flavoring. -crepes made in france has this french cheese but is too expernsive (9/lb) to be used in the state. foodnotes: -popular during lunch time. -crepes made to order, in plain view. -friendly, fast service -dj interacts with patrons while working the crepes. -probably will try with mushrooms and cheese next. read more

Hands down best crepes in the east bay. Unassuming little tent and the employees are always very friendly and try their best to accommodate personal requests. Sometimes the wait can be 20 min if they're really swamped but it goes by quickly at the farmers market and it's easily worth the wait. My favorites are the complete (swiss cheese, ham and egg) and the cinnamon crepe. They're cooked perfectly and carefully to order and it makes a difference! Some people seemed to complain about the wait but I honestly see them working as fast as they can when it gets busy. I grabbed a business card with their current hours. They're in concord tuesday morning, oakland kaiser wednesday morning, san leandro wednesday ngiht, thursday night, orinda saturday morning, jack london sq sunday morning! read more

Just treated myself to a crepe - savory crepe made with buckwheat - topped with feta, tomatoes, green olives and ham sprinkled with pepper and herbs. This is my favorite stop at the Tuesday Farmers Market in Concord. Portion for the price is awesome. My boyfriends and I can usually share one crepe and it satisfies us both. It turns a shopping in to a little date as we walk around. Owners are two of the nicest people. They have great stories. Not all crepes are created equal? And if you really want to taste the batter - order just butter and light sugar (the crepe should taste like a pastry). And most of all did you know that they are pouring the same crepe recipe used in creperie in the arrondissement of Paris. I am a total geek and love facts like that. I have been going here for a while - just found out they are on yelp, twitter and facebook. They also accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover now. Which is fabulous because my cash gets spent so quickly at the farmers market. read more

I found them at a jelly belly festival in Fairfield. :) Very generously filled with fruit, large portion, good quality, good price, and friendly service! We really LOVED the slight chew to the crepe which makes their recipe unique. You definitely will need a plastic knife to get a bite or just bite straight into it. Other places I've had crepes make them too soft or just unsatisfying in general. The cook takes his time making your crepe, and I noticed he kept adding mini pats of butter as he cooked my Nutella Banana Crepe... Mmmmmmmmmm. I went back to tell them that their crepes were the best we have ever had. The only thing I would suggest is for them to use fresh whipped cream instead of spray can cream. I will be dreaming about that crepe for the next few weeks. I wish I had taken a picture, but we murdered our crepe before any evidence was saved!!! read more
