Cray-cray 4-1 2lbs Craw fish, potatoes, corn, sausage
    Jellybean A.

Thier crawfish is good both size and taste, considering we are not in crawfish season. I like thier chicken xtra spicy house seasoning. But check this out, I ordered again total 3lbs, one lb of cajune and 2lbs of cray-cray 4-1 but it wasn't three pounds may be 2lbs. C'mon, not the first time eating crawfish( I get like 3-4lbs) and not the first time ordering from here so I feel wronged. When I called to let the restaurant know, a lady answered the phone and she said they have a camera and yap, all within weight. Seriously?? Idk how they do business like this. It was a rip off. Taste though? It was good crawfish, no complaints there.

2 corn and two potatoes in spicy garlicky sauce~ yum!

This is going to be super short and super sweet! I was in the mood for corn and potatoes so I decided to go to a seafood restaurant because I like the way they season the sides. I decided to go here and I was not disappointed. I ordered 2 corn and 3 potatoes, I believe. It may have been 2 potatoes but that's besides the point. I just have to say that I really, really enjoyed my corn and potatoes. They came covered (in a good way, not too much, not too little) in butter and seasonings. The seasonings were on point! The corn was cooked perfectly! Had a nice chew to it. So sweet that paired perfectly with the seasoned butter. The potatoes were cooked perfect, yum! They were not over done or under done. I will be back at some point to enjoy their crab and shrimp.

Hey I just met you And this is crazy But here's my number So, Crawfish maybe? Houston is full of these awesome crawfish shops, and this one has all kinds of New Orleans Food and Asian flavour as well. It's cheaper than most of them, and generous with great flavour, and it's located over at Gessner and Harwin. Definitely some really good stuff. One of the better ones I've tried for Crawfish in town.

It's been quite awhile since coming to LA Crawfish Shack and wow things have definitely changed. The place was dimly lit and just didn't give a clean experience. The limes were brown and let's just say the crawfish tasted old and frozen. I ordered two lbs of live crawfish and it definitely tasted like it had been reheated after being frozen. Very deceiving! I won't be back! I think it's time to close this location down

I will say, being a crawfish fanatic.. the flavor and the HEAT was THERE! It's not just red pepper, it's unique. The crawfish were slightly over cooked. A little dry, the taste was great, just wish they had more sauce in the bag. Wasn't terrible but wouldn't come again Don't take a date here, the inside is very very low class. They do have some beer, Mike's hard and Smirnoff ice. Wait staff wasn't very welcoming either

Nasty don't recommend and expensive salty and fried rice was only with egg and no other vegetables sauce for shrimp all clumpy PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY

Food was very good. I been coming here over a year now since I moved to Houston from Louisiana this the best seafood I've had here. Their service is good as well. It's just not all fancy but the food is delicious

It's mid December and crawfish are medium sized. NICE!!!!!
    Nancy T.

Wednesday 12/15/16 Well I'll be damned... It's mid-December and the crawfish was actually REALLY GOOD. Might I mention the crawfish was medium to ALMOST large sized???? wow. It's not even crawfish season and it'ls looking like that. My coworker and I went to another crawfish place last week and we just weren't satisfied. We left not happy. [read other review] We decided to take a long lunch from work and I looked up crawfish places that open BEFORE 3pm. I stumbled upon LA Crawfish Shack and saw the mixed reviews but still went with it. Plus the most recent review was in 10/1/16 and earlier so I didn't have much to read off of. We took a chance. I called and asked for market price and I was told it crawfish is currently $6.99/lb. I told my coworker and we thought it was too good to be true, considered crawfish is not in season and most places right about now are selling at a ridiculous amount. Let me just say, we went, we ate, we ordered more, left happy and full. 8 minute drive to and from work - CHECK Open BEFORE 3pm - CHECK 2 lbs of House Special - DELICIOUS 1 lb of Garlic Butter - DELICIOUS 1 lb of Lemon Pepper - DELICIOUS Order of Seasoned Fries - DELICIOUS The crawfish were NOT puny. They were NOT mushy. Crawfish were not DEAD. [please check photos] My only gripe is that they charge you 50 CENTS for lemons/limes. WHAT. Other places, it's free of charge. I can understand that they charge for like potatoes or sausage or corn, but for LEMONS/LIMES? You've got to be kidding me. I can't eat my crawfish without my salt/pepper/lemon/lime mix to dip my crawfish in. Regardless of the flavor, I've got to make my mix. The flavor, the meat, the size...mind blowing considering it's FREAKING DECEMBER. How is this possible. Atmosphere is good. Lots of seating with booths and tables. Service was really good too. We split our check so that was good. [check receipt] My coworker and I agreed that we would come back.

Came here last year and got the blue crabs with their combo sauce. Not being from Houston I was new to the seafood boils as back home we are big on steamed crabs that's smothered in an old bay seasoning so this was knew to me. I absolutely loved it!! The ambience was very relaxed, in fact I was too over dressed. The sodas are served in a can and the inside looked kind of dated. But the food trumped it all, I cannot wait to return! There was plenty of parking as well.

    Don't go here!

I got food from LA Crawfish shack which I usually do. It's been a couple of orders I do from there here and this time I was utterly disappointed. As I was taking a bite into one of the corn I see a cockroach. I freaking cockroach. Like I've ordered from this place often and I could say I won't be ordering from here. This was discussing and it was a hefty amount of money I paid for this.

This is my first time coming here and I will for sure keep coming!! The sauce and the size were perfect. Usually I always find soggy ones but not this time. Would definitely recommend this place. You must try this place! It's better than BB's.

Their menu consists of apps (mostly fried), soups and salads, lobster dishes, steaks, vietnamese seafood dishes, shellfish entrees (clams, scallops, etc), an oyster section, stir fry dishes, rice creations, and fried seafood dishes. They serve beer and wine but have some Asian wine-based cocktails. This is truly a fusion restaurant since they have Vietnamese, American, Chinese, Thai, and Peruvian influences on their menu. They have boiled seafood, of course, including crawfish during the season. On every table is also a $12.95 lunch menu with soups, sandwiches and seafood dishes. This may be one of the better deals out there. We tried a few dishes: drunken lobster, surf and turf, crab fried rice, drunken tofu, and shrimp with salted egg. Two additional people in our group came a little later and actually ordered the lunch special (pork chop plate) and chicken wings. Their napkins are a little strange as they're tri-fold style like you would normally see in a restroom. The dishes were pretty good, but I ended up eating mostly noodles since their garlic noodles are pretty addicting. The sirloin that came on the steak dish was supposedly a little tough but that is typical of a basic sirloin steak. I didn't actually get to sample it since other people grabbed it before I could. They only had L and XL size lobster the day we came...so they said their prices were around $90 and $108...I think we selected the $90 size. The drunken lobster dish can be shared between 2 people as it's a big platter but just 1 cut up lobster. The garlic noodles beneath the lobster pieces on the drunken lobster are way better than the noodles beneath the shrimp and steak on the surf and turf since they are stir-fried with lots of onions, jalapeños and what seemed to be small ground pork/beef chunks.

They also had happy hour when I went happy hour is every day from 5 to 7...even on the weekend. I went on a Saturday Also during happy hour oysters are a dollar I did not get any. The menu was quite expansive but cohesive with Italian/ Asian fusion. I got seated and immediately was given a menu and cold water in a stainless steel cup. I ordered the sliced beef udon soup version (there's also an option for stirfy) but granted, today was cloudy and slightly windy so it called for soup. After placing my order, I was given the proper utensils and shortly after, a large piping bowl was placed in front of me! Flavor was good and the sliced beef was addicting.. the portion was a bit much for lunch to me so I had to ask for togo and the waitress came out and put it away for me in a custom togo bag that sealed so that was fun to leave with. The waitress was certainly very tentative and made sure other guests had their waters filled at all times so I'd love to come back to try out their other menu items like their omurice or their lobster creamy rice. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit.
