Inside its spread out, so even if it were busy, I don't think it would be overly loud. We arrived on Sunday just as they were switching from brunch to lunch and were promptly seated. Our waitress was attentive throughout our time there and explained their daily specials. Our table all opted for the daily special, which was a smash burger with fries for $10. I inquired if I could sub out for a veggie patty and the waitress said it was not an issue. Our food arrived within 15 minutes and everyone enjoyed the burgers. They were all topped with a delicious deep fried pickle chip, however I do wish they would have put actual pickles on the burgers. Otherwise, they were delicious! The veggie burger appeared to be homemade or at least higher quality as you could see the oats in the patty. The beef burgers were all thinly smashed and had the crispy edges you expect from a smash burger. Although they have a full bar, none of our table opted for a cocktail. This is definitely a good spot for a family meal or a brunch with friends.

It was big, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. The chicken wings, however, were a bit of a letdown. They tasted dry and didn't seem very fresh. On the positive side, the fries that came with the burger were good and complemented the meal well. Overall, great ambience and service, and the smash burger alone makes it worth the visit.

From the moment I sat down, he demonstrated a level of professionalism, warmth, and knowledge that immediately stood out. He was so well‑versed in the restaurant's menu, specials, and even the surrounding area that I genuinely thought he might be the owner. CJ took the time to walk me through several recommendations, including their Taco Tuesday specials, which he described with enthusiasm. However, it was his confident suggestion of the salmon that ultimately convinced me--and it did not disappoint. His ability to read the table, offer thoughtful guidance, and make the experience feel personal elevated the entire visit. It's rare to encounter service that feels both effortless and attentive, but CJ delivered exactly that. Because of his outstanding hospitality, I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

The food I'd really only give a 3.5 for my dish (flat iron steak) & 4 stars for my husband's (Mac & cheese with bacon). His had great flavor, it was just super rich & heavy, but delicious. My steak was not very good. IDK how they cooked it - on the flat top or in the oven - it was just sort of rubbery. I finished most of it at home with lots of steak sauce. I would definitely return to try a sandwich or burger. My margarita was pretty good.

Hello my Yelpies…read more When you're prepping for a food show and find your schedule too tight for a proper meal, MJ's Steakhouse at Ilani Casino becomes an easy and worthwhile stop. The atmosphere strikes a comfortable balance between upscale and approachable, and the staff greet you with genuine warmth--always ready with a few well-informed recommendations. The drink list is impressively curated, offering balanced selections that pair effortlessly with the menu's highlights. Though it's a steakhouse by name, my surprise favorite was the salmon--flawlessly cooked and arguably among the best I've had in recent memory. Perhaps MJ's should consider rebranding as a fish house that just happens to serve a perfect steak on the side. Cheers The Dutchman

It certainly had an upscale, romantic vibe to it. Our server was very kind attentive but because of the size of the party, was unable to accommodate fully to each person. It was a fairly priced deal for my husband and I on that Friday to get the Surf and Turf special. We got to share two starters, one entree, two sides and a dessert for $110. We got the caramelized onion soup, which was reminiscent of French onion soup but waterier. The ribeye was well seasoned and sliced for sharing. The shrimp was plump and not overcooked. The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful. The parmesan fries were buttery and sharp. The cheesecake had some fruit and compote layered on top. The crust was crunchy and thin, a good ratio for the dessert. Overall, the food quality was better than I imagined. Only caveat was when we left, a comedy show was also wrapping up. The delay in the parking was insanely slow, and it took us nearly an hour to leave the parking lot. So, I would check the schedule in the future if I were ever to return. Because the casino is an hour away from us, I wouldn't return unless I were in the area.

We started out with the burrata salad apparently a seasonal special. Good things. It's hard to screw up burrata. It was yummy. It was November. Not sure where these strawberries came from but they were amazing. Possibly just too a good combination of seasoning. That's it. Burrata. Strawberries. Like a nine year old chose the ingredients. No greens or vegetables. It made for kind of a tasty but wimpy appetizer. My friend wanted the halibut but she didn't want any more cream in her meal so asked if they could sub the side. No. They do not. Now I get if it is a composed dish where the side completes the concept. Or you're a hoity toity Michelin star restaurant. Come on man just sub the vegetables So she got the salmon with melted artichokes. We asked how they cook that. Deep fried apparently. Imagine a bloomin onion but the inner third of an artichoke with no batter. The thin leaves actually kind of melted in my mouth but the rest was pure grease. Nasty. Salmon was seasoned and cooked well. Good save. My wife got the lobster ravioli. It felt a lot of the meat was those ends of the tail and claws that are just not very pleasant. Every one of us tried it and noticed an odd taste. We finally figured out it was cinnamon. Very off putting. I'm not sure where these flavors go together but I'm not sure this is what Italians do. I got the osso bucco. They serve it over potatoes. The potatoes were way too salty and very gummy. Not very appetizing. The meat was cooked just enough to render it an osso bucco but still a little tough and way too much inedible gristle. It was also very bland. I'm not sure if the potatoes contributed to it but the sauce was just boring. Overall a really disappointing meal. The price wasn't terrible but the meal just didn't deliver.
