They brought us warm chips and salsa and our drinks and came back in a little while to take our orders. The food came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot. Service was very good even as it got busier during lunch. My 1/2 Enchilada Supreme came with one cheese and one chicken enchilada, rice and lettuce, tomato and sour cream. It was a decent size lunch portion. My friend had shrimp and rice and vegetables. She said it was cooked well, tasted great and took some leftovers home. The decor was colorful and fun. Last night was no different, we started with their famous queso dip and award winning margaritas. We ordered the chorizo street tacos and the quesadilla fajita. The menu offers a tremendous variety of choices. I decided on the steak tacos, and they were outstanding and packed with flavor and just the right amount of kick. Our waiter (who may have been the manager, Enrique, if I heard correctly) was soft-spoken, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire meal. We never had to wait for anything. He even took care of our to-go boxes and accommodated a last-minute addition to our order without hesitation; thank you for that. Great service like that makes a lasting impression. Also the food came out surprisingly quick; under 10 minutes for sure. Before visiting, all I really knew was that the restaurant had a strong reputation and colorful, authentic décor. I left with a full stomach, a new appreciation for their food, and a clear understanding of why so many people enjoy dining here. We'll definitely be back!

Had to wait a solid 5-10 minutes just to get acknowledged and there was almost no one in the restaurant, maybe 3-4 other people. Chips came out and they were alright, but definitely not made in house. Tasted like store bought packaged chips and they weren't even warm. We asked for salsa and they only had one kind, and it was basically the same texture and taste as ketchup. Ordered the birria tacos and the Cali burrito. Both were just alright, very bland, almost no seasoning in the meat. Beans were the worst part. Like a bean paste straight from a can, something you'd find in a military MRE. Wouldn't go back.

Ordered chips and salsa. And a side of guacamole. I was SHOCKED when the bill came we had to pay for chips and salsa! Whaaat?? Ordered a soda and a tea. Also shocked when we got the check drinks were a whopping $4! We each got a lunch special. Mine was Birria quesadilla. It was okay but not fabulous. Just good enough. The salsa was AMAZING and very fresh. However when was all said and done, our lunch cost us $65!!! $65 for chips, salsa, guacamole and two lunch specials. Nope won't be going back at that price. A $15 quesadilla is crazy. Nice folks though. Servers were friendly but the pricing it too high.

But it failed to deliver. The space was large roomy but noisy. And very nicely appointed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. These are the reasons for the stars. The food was meh. Nearly everything was tasteless. The shrimp ceviche was basically some cooked shrimp mixed with pico de Gallo and very thinly sliced avocado. We asked for more lime to give it a little kick. My steak fajitas were okay - the rice and beans flavorless. The portion was huge. My husband's enchilada burrito was "okay" we asked for some hot sauce; we were given a choice house or commercial - opted for house. It was bland.
