Comida muy Rico! Good spot! It was literally the day after Christmas. It was good food, the green salsa was a new fave! Service was nice. I would want to try the ceviche next time! The cucaracha shrimp wasn't as saucy like I'm used to. Great selection of foods and drinks work a try!

This is advertized as a Mexican Buffet, but it's really a bar and dance parlor with table seating. I settled for a combination plate of enchiladas verdes with rice and beans... and of course, a Tecati. The enchildas were excellent... the rice was generic and the beans were whole. I was completely satisfied with the meal. It was Sunday night with only a few patrons, yet the disc jockey was in full swing and the music was penetrating. (I had to remove my hearing aids to survive! The guy next to me laughed.) Good thing I speak Spanish, the waitress didn't speak English... but it didn't matter anyway... we had to use sign language through the noise. This is clearly an ethic hangout, and geared to younger folks and families. I don't feel qualified to rate La Chapanita...,but everyone was in good spirits and the food was good!

The worst in every way, the decor is like a school gym when I was a kid. One server for the only 4 tables eating. Food and drinks are so expensive a screwdriver is 10.00 margaritas are $12. The chips and cold unsalted over cooked and served with A plastic ramekin of green sauce. Two of us ordered chicken flautas Each order had three and no rice or beans it was $10 and they were not much bigger than a pencil. The other person ordered the steak Asada small sloppy plate. So to flautas a steak and 3 margaritas was $100. Never again

This was my first time visiting a Mexican buffet & im so glad my husband found this place! Everything here is delicious , hot & fresh! It's about $15 per person on the weekend and we went on a Sunday! They have so much options for food , drinks , desserts & toppings! My favorite foods that was cooked there I couldn't stop eating was the tamales , pozole they made it so good, you can tell it's quality over and over again. I'd give this place a 10/10 delicious and will be back.

Delicious food, many selections to choose from od try them all, clean place and friendly staff (family run). They just opened 7-8 months ago and I hope they thrive and open a branch in Everett next (closer top where I live, hah!). Will be back and recommend this place.

The first time I got the Wagyu tacos which were sooo good and I love the variety and flavor of the sauces. I loved how simple the taco Wagyu is as the meat is high quality For my second visit I got the Vacio Wagyu which came in a sizzling hot stone plate and it stayed hot for me to cook all of my Wagyu. It didn't really need the accompanied sauce but it was nice to have. I felt the large rock salt was a little bit nub and would make it too saucey but I found the rosemary a perfect combination with the Wagyu especially as one was cooking underneath. Excellent service as well - our server was attentive and timely. I've only gone here for lunch and we did not have to make a reservation as it was not too busy!

We decided to stop in for a Saturday lunch and knew we were in for a treat as soon as we pulled up as the smell of charred meat wafted through the vents outside. We arrived right when they opened and we were the first party through the door. Surprisingly, it didn't get very crowded at all through our meal - even at noon there were only three other parties. Service was stellar, especially since there weren't many customers to deal with. The waiter continuously checked in with us and we never wanted for anything. Shortly after being led to our table, the waiter brought over a fresh tray of garnishes for our water, including lime, lemon, orange, mint, and cucumber. What a great touch! We then got a flight of four salsa accompaniments. The first being a pickled onion, interestingly tasting kind of like ginger and soy sauce with a slight sweetness that compliments the vinegar base. The second was a typical pico de gallo mix, but with a totally different spice mixture. I'm not entirely sure what's in it, but it's more than just the typical salt. The third was a light and refreshing avocado based salsa, while the last was a sharp tangy and spicy salsa, light molasses in color, and flecked with black and white specks. A charred tomato base, perhaps? Papa Loca ($19.99) - Asadero prime provides a HUGE potato, one of the largest that I've ever seen. I'm wondering how they even source these - I've never seen anything this big at farmers markets or at grocery stores. Anyway, it's baked to absolute perfection. The skin-on exterior leaves a tiny crisp, but the interior is so soft and fluffy it almost feels like mashed potato in texture. The potato is served steaming hot and it's scored with two long knife strokes, allowing the cornucopia of toppings to penetrate into the depths of the starchy masterpiece. The toppings include some baked potato classics - the decadent sour cream, the melty, fatty blend of cheeses, and of course the meat - bacon and Wagyu carne asada. The carne asada is cut into little niblets. Rather than an entire steak as with the entrees, I believe they use off cuts and trimmings here, as I found the meat to be somewhat sinewy and fatty, making it hard to chew on. It has great char flavor though! (4.5/5) La Carne Asada ($35.99) - The dish first comes with a large pieces of thinly cut carne asada. It's cooked until well done, but is still tender and is great quality with all the gristly bits trimmed off. It's simple and flavorful but with one issue - it came to the table already lukewarm in temperature. For the proteins, there's also a small chorizo sausage. It's heavily spiced, soft and coarse, lacking emulsification, in texture. It falls apart easily when removed from the case. For the veggies, there's a slightly charred green chile with a spice that builds. It's mostly raw, only the skin is charred just a bit to be able to flake off. Similarly, there's a large green onion that lightly charred, crisp and fresh in spicy allium flavor. Finally, there's a chile relleno with a simple green chile cut in half and filled with broiled, melty cheese. Yum! The two side accompanies come in little cups. The first is a refried bean sauce which I disliked immensely. It's drippy, watery in texture and it tastes overwhelmingly of lard. I wouldn't be surprised if it were at least 50% lard. The second cup is a salsa that looks somewhat similar to the fourth salsa in the flight but tastes completely different. It's smoky and mild with a fire roasted tomato base. An order also comes with four tortillas, with a choice of either corn or flour. The corn tortillas are hand made in house while the flour ones are purchased. It's obvious which one to go with. The corn tortillas are soft and easily foldable without breaking, fresh and spongy. They don't give enough for the amount of meat though! (4.5/5) Both dishes we ordered had some minor issues, but overall they were delicious. I can't say I go all the way down to Kent very often, but luckily Asadero has another location in Ballard I can visit if I ever get another craving for Mexican influenced steaks. The long: steak culture is incredibly mundane and steakhouses themselves often overcommit and underdeliver. Vue has cracked the code bringing flavor to steak houses. They go beyond the traditional salt and pepper approach and introduce Mexican and Hmong flavors in their dishes. If haven't had the honor of dining in a home from either culture, you're in for a treat. I personally like their New York strip Their family love can be felt in the decor, the interactions, the attention to the customers and the food. For me these were flavors and the culture of care I grew up with. So I'm exited for their success, mark my words they will be the best steakhouse in Washington in the next 2 years. They're working with something special here.

I'm sorry that I have to revise my original review. Instead of 2 stars, I'm changing it to 1…read more The reason is not only my original experience but also the owner's response. Rather than acknowledging my concerns, they chose to argue with my experience and made factual claims that are inaccurate. The reply also reads like a generic AI generated response instead of a genuine attempt to address customer feedback. First, there is no such thing as a "gaucho torta". In Argentine spanish, the word torta refers to a sweet cake. A savory sandwich is not called a torta, so this is clearly a creative invention rather than an Argentine dish. Second, my review was specifically about these kinds of "creative" reinterpretations, not about traditional cuisines. I have traveled extensively throughout Argentina, as well as other countries in Latin America and Europe, and I appreciate that every restaurant is free to innovate. However, when you choose to reinterpret a traditional cuisine, you should also expect that some customers will appreciate those changes while others will not. Both perspectives are valid. Regarding the chimichurri, traditional Argentine recipes have historically relied on neutral oils such as sunflower or corn oil, although recipes vary by region and household. Presenting your version as the definitive authentic one while dismissing a customer's perspective is misleading. The disappointing part was not the food itself but the response. Instead of engaging respectfully with a customer who offered thoughtful criticism, the owner chose to argue with my experience and present questionable "facts" as if they settled the matter. Constructive criticism is an opportunity to improve, not something to dismiss. Here is my original review, my apologies for the confusion on the "bowl": There is plenty of steak, but the bowl is styled to appear fuller than it is, with an excessive amount of greens doing the visual heavy lifting. The steak itself is buried under butter and a heavy white sauce that mutes rather than complements the beef. The large, roughly cut potatoes aspire to a rustic aesthetic but read as inexpensive filler. Most confusing is the lack of culinary identity, the dish isn't recognizably Mexican, Italian, or particularly refined. It mistakes richness for sophistication
