    Shrimp and fish tacos
    Sania H.

Delicious, authentic, fresh Mexican food, doesn't get better than this! The orange and green salsas were both full of spice and flavor, the complimentary tortilla chips were made fresh in house. Both the shrimp and fish tacos were piping hot and seasoned perfectly, with a large slap of avocado and grilled onion and tomato. Plenty of seating for a weekday lunch, great music and decorations as well.

The service was fantastic. We were seated immediately and everything we ordered came very quickly. The michelada and margarita were both delish. The waitress was a doll and so helpful. The tacos were so tasty. We ordered al pastor, steak, lengua, and cecina. Oh and the chips and salsa were perfect! Highly recommend!

My friend brought me to this restaurant and it's the first time im here and honestly I can't wait to come back the customer service was amazing and the music was a vibe im definitely coming back and asking for Lili she was great definitely recommend to ask her to serve you.

First time and will be back! Our table ordered arrachera, Al pastor and chicken tacos, the like dinner platter and enchiladas. Great mole! Also from the start loved the chips and the salsas. Good quality salsas! Happy to have a good margarita along side. Service was very attentive and loved the paintings and music of the ambiance. Really really liked it!

    Mussels

My wife and I have been coming here for a while now and I finally decided to write a review. Food 9.3/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 8/10 (currently going through a small remodel but looks great so far.) We tried the Mussels for the first time. The presentation was lovely. I must say their take on the white sauce was amazing, not too sweet but sweet enough to balance the heat. The mussels were cooked to perfection in my opinion. My wife ordered the taco fish dinner. 3 fish tacos with cilantro, onions and avocado. Yellow rice and refried beans with cheese. Before I could snag a photo my wife was basically half way done and this should speak for the quality of the food I went basic. 2 steak tacos and 2 al pastor tacos. The steak tacos as always as full as they can make them and succulent. The Al Pastor tacos were definitely the star of the plate. Cooked to perfection with the pineapples mixed in gave these tacos a sweet and tangy flavor along with the tenderness of the meat making them a must in my opinion. For desert we had the caramel stuffed churros. My wife loves churros, I on the other hand am not a big fan due to past experiences also not a fan of caramel. After this I can safely say I will more than likely order churros for desert here. The churros were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The caramel was a wonderful addition. Not too sweet not too sticky. The churros came with a side of strawberries and whipped cream. Combining these components took the churros to another level. All in all please come and eat here. I highly recommend it. The prices will not break the bank and the portions are true to price.

    Cheesecake!!

I had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant! The service was outstanding from being friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment I walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and perfectly prepared dishes that tasted authentic and fresh. And the desserts... the churros and the cheesecake are incredible! Each one was beautifully made and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. If you're looking for a place with great service, great food, and unforgettable desserts, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended! I had the Mar y Tierra platter!! A must try!

I appreciate how close La Catrina is, and it's quick when I'm craving Mexican food. My favorites are Sopes and Gorditas. Their horchata was a bit too sweet for me.

Great food and great hospitality. Their drinks were delicious and the owner came and gave us a complimentary dessert because they noticed it was our first time! Will be coming back for sure! Gracias mucha

Staff/ ambiance: Location was perfect. Super clean and friendly staff upon entry, was warmly greeted and seated right away. Thankfully we got there before there was a huge wait. Let me tell you, the wait is SO worth it. Comida: The drinks we ordered were absolutely delicious and beautiful!!! The appetizer, queso fundido con chorizo was SO flavorful, with a little spice and lots of Oort gooey cheesiness in a warm tortilla. Ugh it was perfection. If I could have this everyday I would!! Amazing! My friend and I orders two tacos each and they were very filling and the portions were huge. Like we could not finish. But they were so freaking good!!!! I just cannot get over that I waited this long to try this place. I highly recommend for good food, comfy ambiance and delicious drinks!!!! Pricing: Superrrrr affordable!! Like does not brand the bank at all.the portions are huge too, so like expect leftover. So worth it!!! Cannot waitttttt to go back!!!

We also tried a few drinks, and they were excellent -- well-made, not overly sweet, and a great way to start the night before heading to the game. Our server was amazing -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They kept checking in at all the right times and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable even with the pre-game crowd. Definitely a great spot to hit anytime you're in the area looking for solid Mexican food and a fun vibe.

Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. We kept looking at each other after every bite like "okay wait... THIS is the best thing here" and then another plate would arrive and prove us wrong again The carnitas fried rice??? I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. The music, the energy, the vibe inside, everyone celebrating, the drinks flowing -- it felt like the perfect Cinco de Mayo dinner spot. I arrived at the restaurant on time (4:30) and checked in with the hostess, who said I could only be seated when the entire group of three arrived. This seemed weird given the restaurant was pretty empty at this time, and ordinarily I'd order a drink while waiting at the table. Regardless, I went to Starbucks instead because I knew the other two were a few minutes behind. When I got back to the restaurant, my friend said the hostess told him we absolutely had to leave within 1.5 hours because we were late... which seemed odd because he may have checked in 15 minutes after our reservation, to an empty restaurant, that already refused to seat me on time. Regardless, the food was delicious. I had the Pollo in ChiChilo-- the mole was delicious, and I loved the chicken and sweet potato. I ordered the mole on the side, which seemed like a nice balance. Since the hostess wouldn't previously seat me, I had a lovely iced matcha latte with oat milk and half a pump of vanilla from Starbucks, which was a nice pairing. The waiter did ask if I wanted a shot of something with it, which seemed odd. Ambiance was cute, probably due for a renovation but seemed appropriate for most dining out occasions- dates, families, a day out in town. Note: the restaurant charges an automatic 20% gratuity which may explain the service. Keep this in mind to avoid tipping more than you intend. Overall, I would definitely come back, and the food and wait staff made up for the abrasive welcome.
