    Lindo Burrito

In my opinion, the food here is kind of subpar. Our table ordered nachos (with beef), a chicken quesadilla, a lindo burrito (with steak) and enchiladas. The drinks were good according to my friends (I didn't order a drink however), but we all felt the food was just ok. My friend was the one who suggested this place and even she said the quesadilla didn't taste that great. She's had better experiences here. My burrito was ok. It had the right amount of crispy in the tortilla itself which I appreciated, but the insides were just meh. I still think I liked it the most out of all the stuff we ordered which is clearly saying a lot. My friend's enchiladas were not good at all IMO. He said he didn't really care for them much either. I dunno - with the amount of Mexican options in this area, I don't think I'd really return given my experience. The space inside is honestly cozy and the dim lighting adds a nice effect. I think maybe I'd just return for the vibes and drinks, but not go out of my way here for the food. There is a patio in the front during the warmer months which I'm sure is a nice vibe!

Came here on Cinco de Mayo and they were slammed. Surprisingly we didn't wait long for a table. I would come back again for Elotes and Margarita. I got the Pink Cadillac Margaritas and was very pleased with the taste and strenght of the liquor. For food I got tacos dinner with beans & rice. Overall a nice dinner on the patio. Very much enjoyed the live entertainment and singing as a cherry of top of the evening.

Friendly staff, fantastic tacos, and huge pitchers of margaritas for the price. We ordered a pitcher for the two of us and it's really meant for 3 or maybe even 4 people despite the price making it seem like there's only 2 or 3 servings in it - spoiler: there's a lot more. The ceviche was really good, as was every single taco that came out of the kitchen. Definitely try the churros for dessert - it might not sound like that great of an option just from reading it but it was really worth it.

We came here to try out their tacos. I was a little concerned at first, because the place was empty with only one other party dining in. I felt the server a little pushy at first asking if we wanted any drinks for appetizers such as queso fundido to start. We ordered some water and their elotes to start, and he appeared a bit bothered that we didn't order more. My wife ordered their taco dinner which came with three tacos and rice and beans. On the menu it states that all three tacos have to be the same meat, they were nice enough to allow us to order three different meats. She ordered, Tripas, carne Asada and fish. The Tripas were tasty and the fish taco wasnt great and didn't taste fresh. I ordered their Asada, al pastor and lengua. The lengua and al pastor were very tasty. The al pastor had a delicious marinade and came with pineapple. The Asada, however lacked flavor. The elotes we ordered at the beginning were also not great. The corn was very soggy and obviously boiled. When you have these sitting in water for a long time, they tend to lose all their flavor. You're basically biting into water. They then gave you a side of chili powder to put on the elotes. But unfortunately it wasn't chili. They used tajin which gave the elotes to much of a citrus flavor. Perhaps if they grill them instead of boiling them, it will definitely enhance the flavor. With so much computation I'm not quite sure if I'd return anytime soon. They were a little pricey for what you're actually getting, so only time will tell.

I'm going to start my review by cutting to the chase. "Tacos Tequilas" is one of the most expensive neighborhood Mexican restaurants I have dined in. However, why did I render four (4) stars still? The young man who served our entire table was friendly, patient, and accommodating. The food was on a par with its quality in my opinion. I really wished the price for each appetizer and entree could be at least $2-$3 less. Our office had a joint crew night and one of the managers recommended this place. I must say I wasn't completely impressed after perusing the menu. What? They charged tampiquena for $22.50! I remembered the competition on Belmont Ave., for the same entree, was under $15 or so. I eventually made up my mind with tilapia poblano ($14.95, as of 04/17/2019). The size was appropriate for my hunger level. The fish was flaky. I also enjoyed the poblano sauce, yet it could use a little more garlic and lemon to enhance the overall flavor and tanginess. I thought the guacamole was delicious, but the portion size was quite disappointing for what we paid for. $8.95 was almost considered a borderline rip-off. Many of my co-workers ordered the margarita and other alcoholic beverages. Fortunately and unfortunately at the same time, I have made a conscious decision to cut down my alcohol consumption. I would say having the liquor license gives "Tacos Tequilas" an advantage for making a plenty of extra bucks on booze. With that being said, individuals who are accustomed to pairing alcohol with their meals will probably like what TT has to offer. Our party consisted of 10+ people and a few of us arrived late. The young man server didn't rush us at all and answered some picky eaters' questions with poise. He also graciously comped one of the girls' coctel de camaron since she didn't realize this was a cold appetizer. All in all, his customer service was great in handling everyone's request. I personally don't think "Tacos Tequilas" is a standout due to inflated prices. Others may disagree with me, but I shall remain indifferent.

Wow! First time here and we were blown away by the service provided by Gustavo and Jorge and the rest of the staff. We had a pitcher of margarita with Don Julio and we were Leary about them because we really can appreciate a good margarita, but to our surprise! It was so great!! We also ordered steak, cochinita pibil tacos, elotes, and torta Árabe. To our amazement the cochinita pibil tacos were so delicious and so flavorful. My husband even made a comment and asked if it was possible to fall in love with a taco. I said yes! And with that I will leave you all with the must try here at Taco Tequilas. The top shelf margaritas and cochinita pibil. We definitely will be back! Thank you to the great service provided by Gustavo and Jorge and the rest of this amazing staff! We will see you soon!

The overall quality of Mexican food available in Logan Square and Hermosa has really declined over the past few years. This place is the exception. I've tried all of their taco dinners and chicken tamales (my sons favorite). Flavor flavor flavor! Great salsas. Delicious and fresh chips. I've almost given up on going out for tacos after this past year of eating so many bland and poorly prepared tacos with low quality ingredients at the 7 or 8 Mexican restaurants open in the area. This place is keeping me hopeful that I don't have to cook every dinner at home. During an era where tacos at most places are way over priced for you get--this place is worth the money.

Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. We kept looking at each other after every bite like "okay wait... THIS is the best thing here" and then another plate would arrive and prove us wrong again The carnitas fried rice??? I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. I arrived at the restaurant on time (4:30) and checked in with the hostess, who said I could only be seated when the entire group of three arrived. This seemed weird given the restaurant was pretty empty at this time, and ordinarily I'd order a drink while waiting at the table. Regardless, I went to Starbucks instead because I knew the other two were a few minutes behind. When I got back to the restaurant, my friend said the hostess told him we absolutely had to leave within 1.5 hours because we were late... which seemed odd because he may have checked in 15 minutes after our reservation, to an empty restaurant, that already refused to seat me on time. Regardless, the food was delicious. I had the Pollo in ChiChilo-- the mole was delicious, and I loved the chicken and sweet potato. I ordered the mole on the side, which seemed like a nice balance. Since the hostess wouldn't previously seat me, I had a lovely iced matcha latte with oat milk and half a pump of vanilla from Starbucks, which was a nice pairing. The waiter did ask if I wanted a shot of something with it, which seemed odd.
