    Garcia best burrito!

A favorite local spot that I have not been to for awhile. I ordered their Garcia burrito and loved it! Why was I gone so long?? Great drinks too!

Some of our friends who live in Ravenswood love this place! I thought it was pretty solid but the horchata was on the sweeter side. I got the Chicago's best burrito which has steak, Al pastor, filled with beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, sour cream, and avocado. This thing is smothered with cheese all around and it's absolutely MASSIVE. If you want to take leftovers that is worth about 3-4 meals, then order this one.

Food is absolutely amazing but everytime I step in prices go up! I get it. Food costs more ...but I am almost to the point where I cannot go there financially. My favorite , tortilla soup was $5....then $7....now $11 and that is plain. Add $3 for chicken. A quesadilla with rice and beans is $20?!? Are you kidding me?? $11 glass of house regular margarita ...We all stared at the menu today and came to the assumption it's a new menu/raised prices again. Then to top it off when the server hands you the remote pay register...THEY move the tip to auto 25 percent (I always hit back to 20). Delicious but unaffordable now. There are soo many more places in Chi to check out and I'll be there. Your neighborhood joint just went to downtown prices....i can't justify $40 for lunch just on me

This place is so solid. The margaritas are some of my favorite in the city. The food is always consistent and delicious. Noé at the bar is the man and Maximo has the best singing voice. I love that the kitchen is open late and the place is big enough that you can almost always get a spot right away, unless there is some major event going on.

Garcias is one of those Mexican restaurants that I always find myself coming back to. The food is always consistent and the pricing is fair. Large portions and great service. It will always be busy Friday-Sunday and you'll need to put yourself on a waitlist, but the line moves fast. Overall a solid spot.

i heard these quesadillas were 10/10

Loud, vibrant, open restaurant with a ton of tables inside. We were greeted and seated right away. Service was prompt when we sat down. I ordered a burrito with al pastor, my husband did the same with chorizo, my sis had a chicken taco and fish taco meal, and my son had the kids quesadillas. I heard the kids quesadillas and the beans were amazing and 10 out of 10. The burritos and tacos were also good. The salsa is amazing from here.. Had some good spice. The only thing weird that happened was a woman taking pictures of everyone.. She printed them out, put them in frames and tried to sell them to us. It was very awkward. But other than that it was a great experience.

When here, we are always interested in trying some new places. Sons recommended this place for Mexican food. Place was packed, and very loud. It was also so bright in there, we asked hostess if lighting can be dimmed. She said she couldn't. Moving on. Service was excellent. I ordered a frozen mango margarita. It was great, but very strong. Ordered steak fajitas for dinner. They were delicious, and done to perfection. Food and service were both worthy of 5 stars, but atmosphere cost the one. Nonetheless, I do recommend this place.

Such a pleasant night with perfect weather!! Decided to visit Garcias patio as the weather was perfect and our patio days are soon coming to an end! So happy we did!! My date and I both ordered the fajitas. We were a bit hesitant because everyone knows you always end up hungry after fajitas. NOT at garcias! We were left with food for the next 4 days!! Wow!! Margaritas were good! It's made with their house tequila! Our server was super sweet and nice!! Can't wait to go back!

Mexican restaurant in Lincoln Square. Metered street parking is available on Western and Lincoln, and there's lot one block south. You can also try to find free Street parking a few blocks away on the residential blocks. With the acoustic and room layout, it is also noisy and hard to have a conversation. The bar side is slightly quieter. The drinks are good, especially the margaritas. The food is a bit hit or miss. My husband always get the skirt steak. I've tried a variety things but nothing really stands out. I like their recently added specials of the day, which includes fish tacos, pozole, and quesabarria.

My husband kept talking about this place so I FINALLY gave in, and now I feel stupid!! This place is GREAT!! We sat at the bar, bartender Jorge is phenomenal!! Margaritas are great and food was large portions and delicious!! Will definitely be back!!

Amazing shrimp tacos that were big, juicy, and flavorful! Strong liquor that they allowed a take away cup in case you can't finish to which I couldn't lol I was already tipsy. Quick service as well.

I had dinner at Garcia's with my in-laws last night. The restaurant was clean and had a lively atmosphere. We got there a little on the later side and so we were able to get a table right away despite the size of our party. Overall the food was good- I especially liked the tortilla soup. I had a jamaica drink, which was refreshing although it was overly sweet. The chips and salsa were tasty- the chopped salsa is more our preference to the blended variety. The fries were very good and a huge portion for $3. Unfortunately, the only thing my husband and I have talked about regarding our experience last night was the seemingly sneaky upselling by our waiter. I asked for a jamaica drink and didn't realize til we got the bill that he'd rang me up for a large. We wanted to try the tortilla soup the fajitas and asked him if that was too much food for two people and he said no. Our soups came out first were so big we not only didn't finish them but we didn't even touch our fajitas. I was think he knew they it was too much food but wanted to make the sale. (I understand the temptation- I waited tables for 15 years.) Truly great service would have prioritized taking a long view of the situation and suggesting he split a soup for us along with the fajitas. Yes, the bill would have been slightly lower, this review would be written very differently, we would have had different conversations about our experience last night, and we would probably be much more keen to go back.

Went here for dinner with my two sons. What we liked: - very friendly and fast service. Within minutes the waitress brought us chips and salsa and water. Gave us a few minutes to peruse the menu and then she was back for our orders. - portion sizes are generous and the prices reasonable - had the flautitas as an appetizer and those were delicious - the restaurant is HUGE so probably a great place for big family dinners or events - margaritas are also enormous What could improve: - the food was ok but kind of flavorless - we had the carne asada, the tortilla soup, carne asada tacos and beef tongue. It was all just ok - nothing really standout.

Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. We kept looking at each other after every bite like "okay wait... THIS is the best thing here" and then another plate would arrive and prove us wrong again The carnitas fried rice??? I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. The music, the energy, the vibe inside, everyone celebrating, the drinks flowing -- it felt like the perfect Cinco de Mayo dinner spot. I arrived at the restaurant on time (4:30) and checked in with the hostess, who said I could only be seated when the entire group of three arrived. This seemed weird given the restaurant was pretty empty at this time, and ordinarily I'd order a drink while waiting at the table. Regardless, I went to Starbucks instead because I knew the other two were a few minutes behind. When I got back to the restaurant, my friend said the hostess told him we absolutely had to leave within 1.5 hours because we were late... which seemed odd because he may have checked in 15 minutes after our reservation, to an empty restaurant, that already refused to seat me on time. Regardless, the food was delicious. I had the Pollo in ChiChilo-- the mole was delicious, and I loved the chicken and sweet potato. I ordered the mole on the side, which seemed like a nice balance. Since the hostess wouldn't previously seat me, I had a lovely iced matcha latte with oat milk and half a pump of vanilla from Starbucks, which was a nice pairing. The waiter did ask if I wanted a shot of something with it, which seemed odd. Ambiance was cute, probably due for a renovation but seemed appropriate for most dining out occasions- dates, families, a day out in town. Note: the restaurant charges an automatic 20% gratuity which may explain the service. Keep this in mind to avoid tipping more than you intend.
