On the morning of our appointment the rep assigned to come out and measure called 30 minutes past our appointment time. He said he was still at the warehouse and wouldn't come out unless we made a minimum purchase from him of $2,800. Pretty awful and shady business practice. I met Ana and Ray at their showroom to discuss about a particular Mohawk carpet style/color I was interested in. Ray said he could order the carpet I was interested in and agreed to match the quote I got from a different store, and we had a deal. The carpet arrived last week and per my request, the crew came to install the carpet on Saturday and everything went without a hitch. The Mohawk carpet was beautiful and matched my room's color scheme perfectly, installation was professionally done. My two bedrooms and a giant 21ft x 28ft bonus room now look better than ever. I contracted with LA Carpet in Corona and from the beginning we started having problems with the construction of my kitchen cabinets. I was promised a completion date of 10 days and here we are 2 months later and my kitchen is incomplete. The installation was a nightmare from the beginning and the workmanship was worse. This company uses extra molding where none is needed to hide installation defects. Doors have gaps, which they claim cannot be corrected. Side panels don't reach the end of the cabinets and the worse was the quartzite installation which didn't cover the underlayment to which they wanted to add yet more molding to hide! However, the sales people were very nice but that doesn't hide the fact about their workmanship. I cancelled the contract and would never contract with them again. read more

I know you will never be able to please everyone, there are people you will never please no matter what you do so I wanted to post my rating right away. I dealt initially with Anna and Ray. We did our estimate and we decided to give them a try. They scheduled the work for us within a couple weeks and sent Dector and his helper out to do the install. What a team!!! These gentleman were nothing but professional, answered questions we had along the way and were so nice and worked so hard. These 2 guys did excellent work. We're very careful with our personal belongings, cleaned everyday before they left and always had a smile of their faces. I highly recommend them, and I would say the exact same thing even if my family wanted to use. Was in there today. Awful awful experience. My sister and I went in with a budget in mind and a few styles we knew. We came in also with our floor plan to get closer to an estimate, knowing we would have to have measurements to get an exact amount. Floor man was so weird. He started by saying he wasn't the normal guy but two guys had called in. Ok dude, we weren't there to hear his woes. So he doesn't really ask us what we are looking for or what we are wanting to do. He talks about his children, how he has 11, and then 12, of them. Shows us photos. I have my young child with me so this was not a time I wanted to spend. Guy then starts telling us about his credentials. Corporate this, training manager that. How this company has the best prices, 5 years 0% interest. Well, we explained (AGAIN) that we already had financing. We go sit at the desk without picking a wood or any material and he looks at our floor plan, does something on a calculator, and says we can get it installed for $12,600. My sister and I ask him for a breakdown since we have no idea what he is calculating. He says "you don't need a breakdown, this is what it costs to have an install. Best price in the business." And I was like, no dude we do need a breakdown because we might need to cut rooms, etc.. to fit into our budget. Also, we might need to PICK A CHEAPER OPTION but since we hadn't picked a material I had no idea what that cost even was. We ask for a breakdown again and he basically said it was a package price because all little expenses add up. Seeing as this was near triple our budget, I looked at my sister and said "guess we will have to buy materials and then do self install." This guy was like "yeah, you can do that but you'll need your husband to do it." NO. HELL NO. Absolutely not. I am the handy one in our household. I was absolutely offended and taken aback. We asked one more time for a breakdown and he spent about 5 minutes writing and calculating. In the end, he couldn't tell us where that figure was coming from. He couldn't even get close to his number. I told him it wasn't going to work since we already had a rough estimate from HD for about $6000. He said, THEN GO DO THAT. BEST PRICE YOULL GET. ILL BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT! In the most obnoxiously rude way. Being as this was my first experience flooring shopping, I was not prepared for this rude behavior. We ended up at a flooring shop in Norco who gave us an awesome, broken down quote in plain English and shockingly, we are getting it done in budget with a high quality material. I will not use and will never use LA flooring. He was so deadset on a 12k sale, he lost a 6k sale. What a rude jerk. read more

I'm a contractor myself. So when I went looking for a company to work with me on replacing my entire flooring. After we experienced a flood. In April 2020. I started to interview flooring companies. ( Be careful ) their are ton's of UNLICENSED $$ (Handymen) Lowballing project's to earn your business. 5- estimates later I had the pleasure of speaking with Anna @ LA carpets in corona. FYI found them believe it or not on Facebook. Even during this Covid19 way of life. Ray was sent out for a person to person actual estimate. He showed up on time. Took a long look at my current situation with my damaged flooring from the Water Damage. He then listened to my concerns and gave me his professional opinion. Keep in mind the ( Shade Tree ) Handymen . Where trying to sell me on installing my new flooring over some very bad cracks and even over some undamaged floor. Ray informs me that his crew will need to grind down my existing damage flooring and fix the cracks in my existing slab floor. And ( Not to mention ) Remove the old flooring. That you guessed it the cheaper guy. Wanted to install my new flooring over. Folks pay Attention!! This is my Home My investment. I will NOT cut corners and put a BAND AID over the damage flooring. Ray came out to our home from LA carpet twice to give us quotes for a kitchen renovation and flooring for kitchen, dining room, & family room. The price was the best we had heard after talking to 3 others. The products were beautiful. We had the kitchen done and we keep getting so many compliments about our kitchen. Our flooring is laid and it's just beautiful. The trim looks so professional. They were here Wed.&Thurs. last week. They were just about finished when all our fire alarms went off. Our youngest autistic boy tried to light a candle and it started a fire. Quickly both workers jumped into helping to put it out. They went above and beyond and we were so grateful. There was only very small damage to a shelf and some clothes. Also, a worker (Luis) came today to fix a drawer that wouldn't close. He said it wasn't attached all the way so he fixed it and then check all the drawers and tighten them for us. I had previously posted a not so positive rating on LA Carpet. We used Universal Carpet in the past (Universal and LA Carpet are sister companies) and choose to use the LA Carpet location as it was closer to our new home. We were so happy with our original experience with Universal Carpet 5 years ago that we did not even shop around. We had carpet, laminate, baseboards, and kitchen completed through them. There was frustration during the remodel related to poor communication and quality of product. But after some headache the work was completed to our satisfaction and only my husband and I will know where the areas of concern were. I am happy to say after posting my initial review we were immediately contacted by customer service and I explained what we went through in the remodel. The representative apologized and explained that LA Carpet values their customers and they were disappointed to hear about our personal experience.
