I would never recommend this company to anyone, especially after the damage they did to my property on a bathroom remodel. They left me with mold and months without a bathroom. Had to get my homeowners insurance company involved because they kept giving me the runaround. Long story short my newly renovated bathroom had to be taken down to the studs and redone. After a few weeks the floor started cracking they blamed it on my rolling office chair not having a mat. WTF?!? that's pretty poor quality and installation if it can't even handle a rolling office chair. They refuse to take responsibility and fix it. September 2, 2024 - NO RESPONSIVE/NO CURE! We used to have a small dog in the house. Stains were a concern with the previous carpet. So, Before we purchased the carpet for our home, we were told by the salesman that the carpet would not stain because of their advanced technology and that if it did stain or buckle it would be replaced. On May 4, 2024, We filed a claim (submitted pictures, and sent professional cleaning receipts per claim request) 4.5 months ago and were told by Hortencia of Customer Service said, "A claim usually takes about 4-8 weeks" (May 14, 1024). It's been over four months and still no word and no follow up to our calls or emails. Why in the world would a company need 4-8 weeks to respond to a claim. This seems to merely be a delay tactic to ultimately do nothing. This is another instance of poor consumer service, consumer deception, and business neglect. I got 4 estimates before choosing LA Carpet to remodel my very old bathroom. This was a complete remodel of an entire bathroom. LA Carpet was the only company offering financing. I also liked the fact that all the materials needed could be chosen directly from their own showroom. (in Irvine) I didn't feel like I was compromising on anything. I got exactly what I wanted in terms of colors, tiles, materials and design. I told them what I wanted and that's what I got. If anything didn't go the way I wanted, all I had to do was say so, and adjustments were made. I'm really happy with the final product. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Because I think the job cost too much for what I got and I think it took way too long to complete. I waited way too long to write this review. Go somewhere else. This place does not care about you. They just want your money, install their stuff and leave you with a big mess. I got my small kitchen and two bathrooms fully renovated for a ridiculous price. I only went with them because of the financing option. Ray was super pushy. He got upset when our showerhead didn't come in on time for the installers to install, "pushing them behind schedule". They praise that they have 30+ years of experience but the work shows otherwise. I was told by Ray that work will be done everyday, but there were days where no one showed up at all! They estimated 2 weeks for everything to be done. They finished a little over 1 month. Don't give an eta if the work will not be done on time. The workers tearing up my old shower did not care about my walls at all. They tore up too much of my walls and, we had to patch it up. When installing my shower, they screwed through my walls. At first it didn't bother me because the hole was behind my refrigerator, but then I found two more in my living room. They do not pick up after themselves. They leave trash in my front yard, their lunch, etc. you think they will cover up your belongings or cover up their working when working but they do not. Be prepare to come home to dust and debris everywhere! I have no idea why the empty space behind the corner of my cabinets weren't filled in. It's such an eye sore. My drawers are crooked. The tile work in my shower is ridiculous. Not sure why a floor transition was not installed when I got my floors done, leaving a big crack in between my hallway floor to my bathroom floors. My toilet started leaking, so I hired a plumber just for them to tell me my toilet was not installed correctly, costing me $350. Although the final project looked ok, my experience with them was terrible. I never want to deal with them again. Let me also add that there is no communication with them at all during the whole process! Run as fast as you can from this place. read more

UPDATE: I've gotten more calls since posting my review than when our home was ripped apart and we truly needed the help. They claim they never got messages from us, but we left several. More lies! Weeks later, they called to offer me an insulting 0.04% (yes, less than 1%) discount to resolve the matter and review. 2 months of having to make multiple calls a week to keep the project moving toward completion, every weekend being robbed from us waiting for workers, and multiple awkward conversations that what they came to do not being acceptable solutions is apparently worth so little. And they tried to tell me I already received a discount... but that lost cost was to fix their own mistake. I did not benefit from it. Needless to say, leaving my review up is worth more to me to save others from the same headaches and costly mistake. ___________________________________________ DO NOT USE La Carpet!!! Sighned a contract to have 2 bathrooms redone from from showers to lighting and flooring. We have had nothing but headaches. First off all LA carpet has a contract license but the workers doing the work are not. We had a leak in the wall from the new shower head they installed. They installed shower handle and shower faucet poorly. They have come out more than 6 times to redo caulking because it keeps separating from wall and faucet and cracking. The whole shower head fell off on my husband while in use. They installed the seat in the shower and had half broke screws underneath the seat. The shower is now making banging and vibrating noise in the wall and we are still waiting fir them to fix it . And Beware permits needed for moving lighting over and shower changes in which they did not get and told us we did not need. Be careful do your homework!!! read more

LA Carpet is awful. Avoid them at all costs. Made an appointment for a quote. Told the person on the phone the square footage and type of carpet we needed. On the morning of our appointment the rep assigned to come out and measure called 30 minutes past our appointment time. He said he was still at the warehouse and wouldn't come out unless we made a minimum purchase from him of $2,800. Pretty awful and shady business practice. Making quote appointments and then trying to shake businesses down before they even arrive. Would never and will never do business with LA Carpet again. read more
