hi, this is my review. I got carpet done just for the hallway and two bedrooms. We live in a small two bedroom home supposed to be 25 years warranty pet stain. Everything resistant hallway already looks worn.The gentleman doesn't speak English he rolled out in the street and part of the carpet was in the gutter he could've easily did the driveway. I called George and complained. He wanted to know what what he can do gave the phone to my son and he didn't charge the balance. so I got charged $1200 I was charged for shitty ass carpet. now I'm going to see if I can get them to rip out their carpet and take it back and get my down payment and go somewhere else. Make sure you shop around before buying from SIDS. I was very upset with how the Sales team at Sid's treated my mother. Strike #1 - My mother purchased over 1.2K Sqft of flooring from Sid's, when she arrived no one helped her load the flooring into her SUV, really sad because she is almost 60 and no one helped her load the very heavy cartons into her SUV. It would have taken two guys a few minutes to do, completely unacceptable in my book, I'd never see a 60 year old lady struggle and not help. Strike #2 - After the flooring was installed I at my mothers I decided I wanted to install it in my home as well. When I called Sid's the Salesman tried to sell me the exact same flooring for +$0.55 more(!!!) than my mother had just paid!!! No, we didn't mix up the SKU, I was very clear and the salesman new exactly what he was doing yet he didn't know my mother had just purchased the same flooring I wanted and I knew what she paid, when I asked why it was more expensive he gave me a load of excuses. Regardless, I was severely disappointed and was easily able to find the same flooring for the price my mother paid from another seller. Lesson to management, greed and not treating older customers with respect will cost you more Sales. read more

We recently had our stairs carpeted as we are having the family over for the holidays and we were very excited to have the new look just in time for Thanksgiving. But we had a tough experience with the installer.  He didn't speak very good English and it was difficult to communicate with him.  He specifically told me that he never had seen stairs like mine, which seemed weird because they are basic stairs that pretty much exist anywhere.  His attitude was just "off" and not polite whatsoever, more like he didn't even want to be there. I made some notes of some of the stuff that transpired in the 8.5 hours he was at my house (yes, 8.5 hours). Asked to borrow my husbands tools to nail some of the nosing he broke when trying to remove the old carpet, which I let him use, but seemed strange that he wouldn't have a hammer and nail or the proper tools neededHe kept leaving my front door wide open; I asked over 10 times for him to please just close the door when he comes and goes and he did not.  I was super upset because not only was it very cold outside, but bugs where coming into our house and we have a newborn.When he was done, he literally said, "hello" and I came around the corner and he said, I'm done and walked out.  He left clips of staples on the stairs and luckily came back because he forgot his phone on the landing.  During which, I was looking at the job and there were multiple areas where the pattern of the carpet did not line up and he did not trim the carpet correctly against the wall next to the riser and I asked him to fix it and he told me that it was normal; I literally put my finger underneath and lipped that carpet up and said to him "please cut it on the line of riser where it meets the wall.  He did so, but was very upset that I told him to fix it.  After that, he said "ok I'm done" and walked out.He never cleaned (vacuumed) the new carpet; there was a lot of loose yarn or nylon in the edges and between the angles of the stairs; so I had to clean It all when he left.  Never had a carpet guy not vacuum up his mess when he leaves.  Obviously, he was unhappy to be there today and ultimately made this situation tiresome and irritating for me and my wife.  We love the carpet we chose and we were thinking of possibly getting a quote to do our master bedroom, but I think I might find someone else to do the job because I really don't want to experience what happened today again, let alone let that guy in my house again.  I am not usually the person to complain, but unfortunately our experience was very bad and since this man represents your company (probably a sub), I think it would be beneficial for you to make sure in the future that the installer at the very least asks the customer for approval before just taking off.  We asked them to come out to fix the issues which took a week after install and being unhappy for them to tell us they need to order more carpet to fix the issue. It's now been 2 weeks and still haven't had them call and set up a date to fix our stairs or let us know what's going on. I'm very unhappy as Thanksgiving is now a week away and I don't think this issue will be resolved by then. read more

My wife and I recently bought a home in Orange County and needed to get all new floors. I called over to Sids after checking out Floor and Decor and Empire Flooring. I went to the Corona location and met with Jorge. He was very and knew a lot about the floors and what I would need. After spending about an hour at the location we picked out the one we wanted and he quickly wrote us up an basic quote. So we knew what we might spend. A few weeks later I call Jorge to come look and measure our floors for a quote. He came out the next day and sent a full quote that same day. Sids quote was about 4 thousand dollars cheaper than Empire would have been. I told Jorge I wanted to go with them and he called me and all my product was there in one week! All other companies including floor and decor and empire as well many other floor companies said they couldn't get our bull nose/ stair nose for 5 to 10 weeks! I was able to give my card information to Jorge and he charged half upfront and the rest after delivery. This company was very solid and I do recommend them for your next floor job. With Covid they have limited hours but they do a good job of working with you to get you taken care of, I would ask for Jorge he does a great job! read more

The name, Sid's Carpet Barn, evokes an embarrassing response from me that is not exactly what they might have hoped for. I picture an old Jewish cowboy with big sideburns,pencil thin mustache, and toothy smile. And his big dog, Scooter (something we would not want him to do on Sid's carpets). I hear a musical background, " If you want a special deal, go see Sid..." shamelessly similar to the tune "go see Cal (of Worthington Ford fame), but if not a So Cal resident, we all know the "If you're happy and you know it..." song. Mmmmf. Shake it off, Wendy. I almost didn't go. I had been hunting for a good, no.... great, vinyl flooring product for my kitchen, and in the process was driving Mr. B bonkers. I have been looking online for a week now. But no way was I going to buy anything without seeing it first hand. I was completely turned off by the cheepo Home Depot and Lowe's displays. I had already gone to some of the bigger local flooring outlets, and had been sorely disappointed that the samples they had were limited, not at all what I had seen online, especially Armstrong floors. But, here in my very own back yard was Sid's. And turns out, a very attractive showroom too. Who knew? And most importantly, Sid's had it all, well... more like, a lot. Sid's had the prolific showroom I had been looking for, truckloads of displays featuring different brands, from wood, to laminate, to tile, vinyl, and carpet, and shelves full of manufacturers' sample books. There was a special room devoted almost completely to Armstrong vinyl. Bingo! A flooring library that can't help but stimulate the imagination. Well, I haven't bought anything yet, from Sid's or anybody, but I intend to devote substantial time browsing their displays. And now, I feel more confident I will find the right one. And I must say, they were very gracious and helpful. I would certainly recommend their showroom for seeing a great many options all in one great spot. read more

Terrible experience. Purchased new carpet new padding. Installer only removed part of the old padding leaving the 16 year old padding in closets and inconspicuous areas. However, I discovered it and called the sales department. They came out with a different installer and replaced the padding. Here I am 2 months later still discovering areas where they left staples in the floor after pulling out old padding some areas of the carpet you can feel the left over piece of the old padding that got caught under the staple. Needless to say terrible install terrible experience. read more

Since this job was for a condo in a high rise building, insurance and security protocols are required. All of these procedures were handled seamlessly prior to and during work being done. Thank you Luis. Armando and his team of installers arrived on time, all wearing masks. Throughout the 2 1/2 day job, they were very professional, paid close attention to detail, kept things clean and were very careful moving furniture. I recently hired them to redo my whole house. Carpet and wood flooring. sadly, one of the upstairs toilets was not set back correctly and it leaked. Luckily, the drywall ceiling below was in the garage. It wasnt a huge ordeal. I called them. My sales rep was quick to respond and bring his installer out for the three of us to investigate. Being a contractor myself for over 30 years I KNEW it was on them As I had already opened up the wall to figure out what was leaking. But, I played dumb. Anyways, they checked it out and admitted it was their fault. They took full responsibility even though the installation was months ago. Why months ago? Because it's a third bathroom not used since the kids grew up,and moved out! But they were home for Mother's Day weekend, and this is when the leak started. anyways, they are making it good and their integrity means a lot to me. They stand behind their work. 5 stars for doing business in good faith. Not a lot of businesses stand behind their work or care about their customers after the check has cleared. I am a Rocket Scientist (read that Aerospace Engineer) by formal training. But I don't know anything about carpet! And candidly I don't need to. I was lucky enough to stumble on Sid's Carpet Barn a few years ago and developed a special trust with them. They educated me on the quality and durability of the various carpets I was interested in and made excellent suggestions relative to my intended use at a rental property. And they were nice people. This time Jorg ("George") assisted me; last time it was Juan. Both are stellar. And they sharpened their pencil on the price. I call that VALUE. And the carpeting was installed by Bernardo and Norval (sorry, my spellings are probably incorrect). But they arrived on time, installed it impeccably, and were as polite as they were professional. I hired Sid's Carpet Barn to re-carpet my family room which is about 210 sq. ft. I was helped by Juan at the store in Corona and he was very easy to work with and no pressure. Very relaxed atmosphere and he didn't try and over sell me. He even came to my house that night to validate the square footage so we could get the job scheduled. I went there on a Monday and they arrived on Friday to perform the removal and install. I was very impressed with the installers. They didn't waste anytime. The two guys had cutting tools in hand as they walked in the door and immediately got to work. They completed the removal and install in 55 minutes!! I was in awe at how fast these guys were working. I will definitely use these guys in the future. I was also impressed with the extensive selection of carpet and other flooring materials at the store. I will add that getting new carpet or flooring is expensive but when it goes this smooth it makes it worth it. Great job!! read more

Visited today. The gentleman working the front desk never greeted us. I asked where we could find premium vinyl flooring. He walked us half way over to the area, pointed, said " back there" and went back to his desk and looking at his cell phone. We did a quick look and walked out. We wont be going back. Wow! We just had carpet installed in one room. Went there for a remnant, the price was okay, but the installers were very rude and installed the carpet incorrectly. They made a seam 3 inches from the doorway because "that was the only thing we could do". The carpet was supposed 13x12 and was not that size at all. To top it off, my husband tried to give the installer the check for the remaining balance and he said to just mail it. We got a call today from a COLLECTION AGENCY! The carpet was just installed on July 7th! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! read more
