It's difficult to overstate how AMAZING La Cabana is! First, the food is absolutely fantastic. It's delicious, affordable, and the portions are huge. Second, the owners of restaurant help you to feel like family. I absolutely cannot say enough good things about La Cabana. We love this restauraunt! read more

Cops have received several complaints from this location because of the security and staff at this place. I would definitely not recommend people visiting this place for there own safety. Even the taco stand staff is rude and inefficient. I would request others to post negative experience they have faced so people are aware. read more

Banda didn't get there until like 12:30am or later keep in mind they say they close at 1:45 by this time we where leaving $30 for entrance music sucked they had reggeaton playing in both rooms. The music mix was all over the place. Super crowded and small. Last time I come here for sure. Rather go to a bar w better music because they should have been more precise with the time the Banda plays. read more

I paid 30$ cover and left with in 15 min all the 2 cute girls came with ugly ass dudes already y'all don't wana be there trust. Just stay home read more

Crowded they go over the limit drinks are nasty The kid at the entrance that's charging looks like he's 11 years old.

The guys behind one of the most popular's barbacoa and consomé local restaurants finally found a place to still selling this manjares!! For vegetarians like me, they have a great options: quesadillas de huitlacoche or regular mushrooms, tlacoyos with potato's, beans or chickpeas!! Also you can order salad on the side!! The cuisine is Hidalgo Mexico Style, one of the most Populars streets corner on Mexico City!! Tacolicious take note!! La Cabaña restaurant one place to visit on East Bay!!! read more

This is not my first time in this place, I gotta say I wasn't disappointed at all the previous times but today I was. The waitress seemed like she didn't care about me as customer, this was the very first time I came by myself but money is money, right? Never checked on me if I needed something else. They used to have a waiter that was very polite and attentive, the staff should have learnt from him. The food is ok can't complain about it. read more

This place is a disgrace and rip-off. $200 for an order that we didn't place in the first place and they were super rude.

THIS PLACE IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP!!! SO PLEASE IGNORE THE OTHER REVIEWS! Now introducing the best and I mean the best Mariscos (seafood) I have ever tasted in the bay area. I am extremely happy that I didn't look this place on Yelp before I stopped by or I might have not came to the best Mexican Marisco place in the entire bay. I can't stress to you how authentic this place is. I was blown away at the fact I felt like I was in Nayarit, Mexico! This is exactly how mariscos (seafood) Mexican style should taste. We walked in not knowing what to expect but we saw, plenty of people at different tables with their buckets of beer, margaritas, bucanas with pineapple, and the mariachi was playing! Me and my lady where definitely about to stay! Grabbed 2 seats at the bar and where greeted right away, we ordered mineral water with tequila and lime. Bartender was very friendly she hooked us up with fresh homemade chips, a very tasty salsa, and a seafood caldo with mussels. So many traditional marisco choices on the menu I was in heaven. I didn't know if I wanted camarones a la diabla, coctel de camaron, oysters, shrimp fajitas, camarones a la mommia (wrapped in bacon), and I could go on and on! The prices where crazy cheap compared to El Rancho next door or most marisco places near by. After looking for a minute the owner came up to us and said is this your first time, and I let him know it was. He was so nice and just kept it real with us and even sent us some drinks! Mad props for his genuine good service. We asked what was good "The Mariscada" was recommend which is on the cover of there menu http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/GPNTrS7oBCGcOx1EipnXag?select=NGaQGhvPgvzC_cSI1EauTw. We ordered it half a la diabla and half a lo mojo de ajo (garlic sauce). We asked if we should get the one for 2 people for $40 or the one for a single person for $19 they said the other one is beyond huge so we went with the one for a single person! Damn this mariscada http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/GPNTrS7oBCGcOx1EipnXag?select=iRW-L0FoSOGgioK8g95deQ was beyond huge!! I could not believe that here I have been over paying at all these half decent places in the bay for way smaller than this plate. At 20 bucks this plate was way worth way more it had crab legs, snapper fillets, clams, mussels, scallops, octopus, and jumbo prawns and plenty of it!!!! The drinks where strong, the Joronga Tequila the owner let us taste was hella good, the service was very attentive, the fruit with lime and chili powder after our meal was amazing, the mariachi era chingon, and the food was beyond any 5 stars. La Cabana is the real deal, they transport you to the beach places in Mexico and no not baja I'm talking deep south, and offering very tasty traditional marisco plates estillo Nayarit! This will be a place that I become a regular at!!! I also will be trying it out on Friday or Saturday night because they play cumbia, bachata, merengue, and salsa after 10pm!!! Finding this place has really made my ass happy, not to mention my girl happy because we both admitted this is hella authentic and exactly what we have been on the search for! read more

I agree with Andrew - this place has a lot of potential! We were greeted by a very friendly man - great start! Although Andrew thinks the decor is 80's, I have to disagree with him. I think it has a modern feel to it. The colors are great, and the bar with the little overhang is cute, and the photos on canvas are awesome! Also, they have a nice fireplace should it get cold. But when the warmer weather rolls around, I suggest getting a seat in their patio area. The food is average, the special mojitos are a little too sweet for my taste (although Mikie loved 'em), and the service was a little slow in terms for waiting for our check. Will I give this place another chance? Definitely! read more

Always come here for dancing. Not sure why it doesn't list this place for dancing too. It's awesome because they will have 2 rooms. One for Cumbia and Banda. And another room for salsa and merengue. The people who work here are also so nice and attentive. They also later in the evening have tacos! Everyone from 21 to 50 years old is here. It's just awesome!!! Es simplemente impresionante !!! read more

I had the time of my life! It's a very good crowd and perfect for singles. It was $20 to get it and the drinks were expensive but it was worth it!! It's a big dance floor and they have Banda and regaeton as well. I felt it was worth the drive from San Jose. read more

La Cabaña - Mexican Near Me - Concord, California

The LARGEST portions of the Best Mexican Food! Every business on the block was empty. Except La Cabana! 2 hour wait outside!.

This deserves less than 1 star! This place was horrible! White Rice, really? Nothing on the menu looked good to me for lunch so I ordered a burrito. White rice, lettuce? This place was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. read more

We decided to try La Cabana because I had a coupon for buy 1 buffet get 1 buffet half off. We came for dinner. The buffet table had beans, rice, cheese enchiladas, corn and zucchini, pork chile verde, mole, carnitas, beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas, seafood soup, and chicken soup. The chilled side of the buffet had a small salad bar, fruits, and assorted desserts such as rice pudding, fruit salad and flan. It seemed that some of the food was sitting out for a while. But overall, the food tasted authentic and flavorful. The tortillas were fresh and tasted home-made. Price of buffet was decent - $9.99 each for dinner. read more

I've been here twice and this place is OK, I think their food is decent but no more than that!! It took forever to get us our food! I like their décor and the bartender is very friendly!! I'm not sure if I will try them again, not a family oriented environment!! read more

Exactly what the star represents - EEEK! Methinks not. We had a party of six on Friday night looking for some new Messican grub and cocktails. Being the only white folk in the establishment and being bandana-eyed by the vatos kickin it inside did not make any of us feel welcome. Whatever, I grew up in Richmond - I wasnt bowing down! We ordered a round and a very nice bartender brought our drinks out. She handed me my margarita and said "not strong for the lady" - I said "HUH"? Oh, I like my drinks strong. And I tell her that. She told me to try it and walked back inside. My husband immediately switched his drink with mine thinking that perhaps since he was a man, his was stronger - no dice. The entire round tasted like lime-aid. That is the enough to warrant the request of our tab and an exit stage left. I *might* go back some day and order food for lunch but I'd never go back if I were planning on having dinner and drinks. If I do go back I will update this review. read more

A group of us went for lunch buffet at $9. and it was excellent. They had a good selection of rice, beans, chicken, pork, and other foods, and I especially enjoyed their pork ribs that day. 2 choices of soup, and many choices for salad, fruits and dessert. Tortillas served with buffet lunch. The only thing was the shrimp at the buffet was overcooked, otherwise, a great value for such delicious food. A friend went for breakfast and said it was good, but dinner was not as good as breakfast and lunch she said. I will go again for lunch buffet. read more

The best nachos I've ever had! Get the chilli rellanos!!!! Amazing!!! Margaritas...off the hook ! We will most definately be back!

Great Service and Food. The Margaritas were great, smooth, creamy and strong with no bits of ice like a jamba juice. Chips and salsa were homemade. I ordered enchiladas it was really good with beans rice and fresh guacomole. I just moved here and I am so happy I found this place. Im definately going back again. read more

WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!! Had awful service and even more awful food. I should have left when I saw a big piece of old meat on the menu! Never again! Not even if they gave out free food! Seriously gross! read more

I went to eat barbacoa with a friend, and I do admit it was kinda late for that cause it was 1pm. However the waitress took out order, he didn't ask for barbacoa he wanted mariscos. So the lady took our order and did not check first to see if they still had some barbacoa, when I asked she said they did. So after about 10-15 minutes she comes back with my homies food but telling me that there isn't any barbacoa anymore and offered something else. I understand it was late and they runout, but it was her duty to advise that they were out before I ordered, not make me wait and have to stay regardless because she had already brought my friends food. Absolutely awful service by the waitress. read more

Stopped by for lunch after picking up the wife. Nice atmosphere, lots of TVs with sports. Pretty big crowd. Food took a while, but definitely worth the wait; I had the Super Burrito and Tracey had the Nopalitos. Music was too loud for me, so asked to make order to go. We went to sit at a nearby park and wow! Food is really good. Very tasty, well prepared. Big portions. Definitely worth a repeat. read more

We went to this restaurant having heard advertisements for it on the radio. Came on to check out reviews for it and following indications that this restaurant was under new management we thought we would give it a try. We walked in to the restaurant with no one to greet us. We were waiting around the lobby/entrance to see if we needed to wait to be seated or seat ourselves and no one came to assist us. My husband had to walk over to the bar and asked the bar tender what the routine was. A while after we asked we were told to seat ourselves wherever we liked. It took a while to get our drinks (a Coke and a Corona)...our chips didn't come until after the 3rd time we asked for them. While we waited for our food, a party that was seated close to us got up and left because their food was taking forever to be served. After ordering our food, it took them 30 minutes to get it to us (there were only 3 other patrons in the restaurant). In all honesty the food was good but I wouldn't go back there because of their customer service. Given the amount of people that were in the restaurant, there was no excuse for their slow and inattentive service. read more

This place is trash. The cocktail waitresses don't know how to treat customers and it's empty. Pura basura!!!

this travesty of a restaurant deserves less than 1 star! went there with family (about 10 of us) for dinner. they had mostly a bar crowd for the fight, but we were the only customers in the restaurant section of the place making a food order. first the salsa tasted like some watered down picante sauce--should have walked out then--secondly, waitress brought out cups for water carrying them with her hand over the tops of the cups--blank stare! lastly, 4 people in our party never received their food--two plates arrived bone cold and were sent back. at this point the cook/chef comes out to ask if everything is ok--um...NO. so he says he'll give us 25% off the bill, which was fine, but when we did get the bill, they had charged us for the 4 plates of food that never came, plus the two cold plates of food that were sent back. i've eaten at a lot of restaurants in my time and unfortunately, i have to rate this as one of the worse restaurant experiences of my life. really. i will never, ever come here again and will advise anyone that mentions it, to stay away. read more

Now a days, with all the mexican restaurants around, it's hard to find the right one to eat at. Well I suggest that if you have a huge appetite and crave some mexican food you eat at La Cabana. I go there for there lunch buffet which is only $6.99. There is always something new to eat and it doesn't taste like that fake mexican food you would find at Taco Bell. I take 1 star away cuz of the decorations. There creative, by instead of going to the recycle area to get rid of there glass bottles, they use them as vases on each table. Nothing like a empty bottle of hennesy with a rose in it. But the food is why I go, not the decorations. A wise commercial once said, "Come hungry, Leave happy." Do that here. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. There is zero organization in this restaurant. Everyone is running around with no clue of what to do. We were given the wrong order. The waiter nor the woman of the restaurant , did anything about it. Both said hold on and went away. We proceeded to eat. We finished our meal and asked for the check. No one came to give us the check. We headed to the front. Had to wait even more while the lady sat people and paid another person's bill at the same time. Such a waste of time. The wrong order of food was not worth it. We told the lady everything that went wrong with our meal : food given in the wrong order, wrong meal, slow service, the fact that she didn't so anything when we told her midway through our meal, etc. She said "oh, why didn't you tell me " in regards to all the other aspects of our experience. Even though we did stop her to tell her about our meal and she did nothing about THAT. I paid my bill and left. I do not plan on ever going back. Prepare yourself for a mess of service if you ever plan on visiting. read more
