Call shop for a fill at 5:30pm and was told to be there in 15mins.I arrived and Jimmy was waiting for me and he looked at my nails and said your nails are really bad.I had old dip powder under a layer of acrylic and they had lifted and water got under them and the nail was turning green.So he said you need new set so I said go ahead and he removed all old tips and put new set on and did an amazing job and In a timely matter and did French on top of that and all of this in an hour.The rates there are very reasonable and the services is excellent.I would recommend everyone to try this shop you will not regret it they are amazing. read more

This is the second I have been here. Both times, the people at La Brea Nails are super friendly and considerate. The place is clean and provides massage chairs. There are multiple packages at decent prices (many includes foot scrubs, hot paraffin wax). Update: Make sure to check your toes before leaving. I got a pedicure yesterday and once I got home I noticed that there are areas where the nail polish came off (either from putting on my sandals or knocking my toes under the dryer). This place is amazing! I came here around 6:30 pm. The shop was busy and closed at 7pm but they accommodated me right away. 3 more people came in later were also taken in. I had a regular pedicure ($15) with callus removal ($5 extra). My technician, Thao, was very careful and thorough. The massage was good but I'd have been happier with a longer massage. After that, I decided to get a gel manicure ($20 - a little pricy!). Thao always made sure I was happy with nail styling. She was very good at applying gel polish. But once again, she did not focus on the massage :(. 1 star off! This place is sanitary and welcoming. They used clean towels and heat-sterilized tools, and offered a small bottle of water to every customer. My new nail place! I had only gotten my nails done ONCE in my whole life (yeah I know sad) at another place up the street, but they were overpriced and my nails were uneven and poorly done. This is the 2nd time I've come here and Jenny was really fast and super nice. You can tell she's really experienced with the speed and also the precision she works with on your nails. I had some beautiful gel acrylics done w/ tribal print, but they were too long to be able to type at my new job, so I went in today to have the set removed and also wanted some glitter gel nails done. They let me come in even though it was 10 min until closing, and she was still thorough and everyone was nice and accommodating even though we were there 25 min after closing!! All smiles and great pricing! While coming here during busy times, they try to take in as many people as they can, so don't get impatient if they aren't overly chatty, they're just trying to do a good job and be fast. Generation nails Is located in a small plaza off brea blvd. I came in on a Sunday after work and was pleasantly surprised it wasn't too busy . Justin did my nails perfectly. I really like them. I told him before that when a guy somewhere else did my nails it hurt me and I got nicked so he was very careful . I got my nails shiny white and turquoise pop out nail. I went to another nail salon in Brea for probably 8 years but tagged along with my daughter to La Brea Nails in January 2019 because she lives close by. After Jimmii did my nails, I kept coming back. He is so fast and yet my nails come out perfect every time! He knows that "my color" is number 5 and always greets me when I come in. He really cares about his customers and I appreciate that. The staff was ok... not mean or rude but not extremely welcoming like every other review seems to emphasize. The prices are fair but keep that in mind you do get what you pay for. The full set I received was done extremely quick so there was no attention to detail. They look good from a far but up close you see all the bubbles, yellow hue of the white nail polish. There is also a gap between my actual nail and the acrylic nail which I know could cause bacteria to grow if water collects underneath. I don't recommend this place unless you are really on a budget and have low standards. read more
