I live in Los Angeles. I vacation in Pacific Grove once a year. I have had genuine difficulty, for over a decade, finding someone who can get my cut/color right, at the same time. I found Rosana/LA Bottega by chance (really by judging salons by pictures of their interior decor) and I'm thrilled. I feel like "me" finally. I feel amazing. She totally delivered. And she's a cool, awesome person on top of it all. The "after" picture I took was in the bathroom after she was done. I'm "glowing" with happiness in a public bathroom with florescent light. She's that good. read more

Let me start by saying a have a lot of thick curly coarse hair. No problem for Rose. She gave me long layers, a trim and styled it beautifully. Great vibe in her shop (La Bottega), and the other ladies working were awesome and doing beautiful work as well. I definitely recommend scheduling an appointment with any of them! read more

This was my first time booking at la bottega, it was simple and my hairstylist Kianna was amazing. She was very sweet and kind. She knew exactly what I wanted which was layers and a full blonde balayage and executed it exactly how I had envisioned it. I have long thick hair so I knew it would take time and Kianna made me feel so comfortable the entire time. I will recommend her to everyone. Definitely rebooking for my next appointment. read more

I went to get a balayage done this past Friday at different salon and the hair stylist there butchered my hair it was basically just streaky highlights with silver tips! Like full on SILVER tips on my hair. It was splotchy in some places and my hair was so damaged. Fast forward to today, I called Rose panicking about having to go out to work tomorrow with my hair like this and she offered to take me in at 2:30. She easily assessed what was wrong, and COMPLETELY FIXED MY HAIR. She also gave my hair a complimentary oil treatment and now it looks amazing and feels so healthy! I cannot praise this hair stylist more. She even felt bad for me for spending so much money and time on my hair she charged me a very reasonable price! Do yourself a favor and go see Rosana! read more

I went to see this hairdresser shortly after moving to PG. My hair was very dark because I had applied color myself and the end result was darker than what I was expecting. After doing some research, I came across this salon and decided to schedule a consultation. The wait for the appointment was long, about one month and a half and I was really looking forward to having my hair corrected, after all, that is what chemical products are for, and what professionals should know how to do. Well, on the day of my consultation, she looked at my hair and asked if I had done the color myself. After I said yes, it was as if I had admitted to ruining a masterpiece beyond any possible repair. She gave a lecture about roots, hair strands, porosity, etc, and ultimately concluded: "You will have to wait at least a year, with the hair like that, so that it grows and we can see your natural color and your roots. Once you have your base hair, then we can apply the color you want". Really? Of course, the ideal scenario is to have virgin hair, that is something every hairdresser would like to find every time, but if that is not the case, then that is what chemical progress is for. Can you imagine if celebrities had to wait for their natural hair color to grow in between projects and films how long that would take? I did not come back. If she was not brave enough to tackle the challenge, she was not going to get the easy piecy job either. I found another hairdresser in the area that looked at my hair and said: okay, this is what we can do, are you up for it? Four hours later I walked about happy with the change and with a beautiful light brown. read more

Rosana did a lovely job with my long wavy hair. I was in town for vacation and over due for a cut. She responded promptly to my Yelp questions and graciously fit me in on a Sunday morning. She expertly freshened my layers trimmed the frizz and styled with light and feminine curls. It was delightful to chat with her about local Carmel and Big Sur happenings. read more

Rosana is a great hairstylist. She's professional and personable. So easy to talk with and her new studio space is beautiful, modern and spotless! Rosana listened to what details I wanted for my hair, I showed her a few pictures and I love the way my hair turned out. I got a cut, root-touch-up & highlights. And ALL my grays are gone! I've been to other stylists who miss a few grays, so I was very pleased with Rosanna's work. She has an easy to follow booking system and it was an overall positive, smooth and enjoyable experience. I'll definitely recommend her to my friends. read more

Had a new haircut I was unable to style in any attractive way and a looming first date. AAAGH!!! I checked Yelp for a local stylists to get some help making it look sexier than a helmet head. I was able to get an appointment in a rush on a busy local event weekend by a very accommodating Rosana. The salon was beautifully charming and happy. I immediately felt that I was in the right place and in good hands. Rosana did a fabulous job with my blowout and style. It looked amazing! Thank you so much Rosana! Rose did a great job giving my hair a blow out for my wedding rehearsal. She listened to the type of look I wanted, and also reinforced some of the style with a curling iron - something that a lot of the blow dry bars out there refuse to do. read more

I needed help getting the crazy gray hair growing in check. My grays are coming in some areas and not so much in others. Roots were such a pain, especially on blonde hair. Plus my color was brassy. Rosana worked her magic, tamed my grays and gave me beautiful blonde with darker roots seamlessly blended with highlights. So natural. LOVE IT. read more

Rosana did a wonderful job styling my hair for my maternity shoot. She was quick to get back to me for a same day request. The street parking is plentiful at the salon and the rest of the staff are great as well. It was a crazy windy day at the beach though so next time I'll ask for an updo or extra hold :) read more

My hair is the best it's ever looked! My first appointment I came in with 18 inches of hair--I loved the length, but my hair was completely dead (I've been bleaching my hair for 2 years)! I came in nervous about getting a shorter cut, and was planning on 2 inches. Then, after washing my hair, she showed me how damaged my hair had become. I was so nervous, but I finally allowed myself to cut it off. Now, because of the incredibly flattering cut she gave me, my hair looks better than ever! She gave me gorgeous layers that frame my face perfectly, and my new length makes my hair so healthy and bouncy. I have hair volume again!! I never would have felt comfortable cutting my hair if I wasn't positive that I was in capable, expert hands. She was so sweet the whole time, and I really enjoyed talking to her. The studio is so sweetly decorated, and everything was immaculately clean. Everyone in the salon was so sweet, and she is a wonderful hair stylist! I can't wait to continue seeing her! Just when I thought things couldn't get better, Rose wowed me with my hair color! I've been blonde for 2.5 years, and I was ready to go back to my naturally darker shade. I showed her a picture and she quickly and adeptly began mixing colors together effortlessly. It was a long process, and yet she kept me entertained in the chair. I didn't once feel bored or impatient. She has a great personality and she's genuinely fun to talk to! She expertly did my color and was incredibly patient. She knew I was nervous to change my color, so she took things slowly, explaining what she was doing as she went. I really appreciated it that she mapped out my hair and showed me where the different colors would go. When we were almost done, (she had nearly completely finished) I asked her if it would be possible to go even darker. She didn't bat an eye; she just sat me down in the chair and perfectly executed what I wanted. She was running on vague descriptions from me and still absolutely killed it. She is a perfectionist in the best possible way, and never makes you feel like a burden. She's wonderful!! read more

I have serious trust issues. My colorist left PG years ago to pursue a life in CO with her new husband. In the mean time, I have been unhappily trying to find a new colorist/stylist. I should state I adored her and wished her the absolute best. After many tries and disasters I let my hair run amok for way too long. During a lunch with a friend the topic turned to my horrific hair. Oh joy. What a surprise when the most wonderful unnamed woman gave me Rosana's card. If you are reading this, "I LOVE YOU!" I have to admit I went in as if I was going into the CDC with an unknown contagious virus. Yes, it was more than the woman at lunch said it would be, it's still less than most places, but the big thing is the color looks fantastic! As if the sun had done it instead of chemicals. Just what I asked for. This is when music should be playing and it comes to a crescendo. Rosana is someone you can trust with your hair. That's HUGE! read more
