I went to see this hairdresser shortly after moving to PG. My hair was very dark because I had applied color myself and the end result was darker than what I was expecting. After doing some research, I came across this salon and decided to schedule a consultation. The wait for the appointment was long, about one month and a half and I was really looking forward to having my hair corrected, after all, that is what chemical products are for, and what professionals should know how to do. Well, on the day of my consultation, she looked at my hair and asked if I had done the color myself. After I said yes, it was as if I had admitted to ruining a masterpiece beyond any possible repair. She gave a lecture about roots, hair strands, porosity, etc, and ultimately concluded: "You will have to wait at least a year, with the hair like that, so that it grows and we can see your natural color and your roots. Once you have your base hair, then we can apply the color you want". Really? Of course, the ideal scenario is to have virgin hair, that is something every hairdresser would like to find every time, but if that is not the case, then that is what chemical progress is for. Can you imagine if celebrities had to wait for their natural hair color to grow in between projects and films how long that would take? I did not come back. If she was not brave enough to tackle the challenge, she was not going to get the easy piecy job either. I found another hairdresser in the area that looked at my hair and said: okay, this is what we can do, are you up for it? Four hours later I walked about happy with the change and with a beautiful light brown. read more

I went to get a balayage done this past Friday at different salon and the hair stylist there butchered my hair it was basically just streaky highlights with silver tips! Like full on SILVER tips on my hair. It was splotchy in some places and my hair was so damaged. Fast forward to today, I called Rose panicking about having to go out to work tomorrow with my hair like this and she offered to take me in at 2:30. She easily assessed what was wrong, and COMPLETELY FIXED MY HAIR. She also gave my hair a complimentary oil treatment and now it looks amazing and feels so healthy! My hair is the best it's ever looked! My first appointment I came in with 18 inches of hair--I loved the length, but my hair was completely dead (I've been bleaching my hair for 2 years)! I came in nervous about getting a shorter cut, and was planning on 2 inches. Then, after washing my hair, she showed me how damaged my hair had become. I was so nervous, but I finally allowed myself to cut it off. Now, because of the incredibly flattering cut she gave me, my hair looks better than ever! She gave me gorgeous layers that frame my face perfectly, and my new length makes my hair so healthy and bouncy. I have hair volume again!! I never would have felt comfortable cutting my hair if I wasn't positive that I was in capable, expert hands. She was so sweet the whole time, and I really enjoyed talking to her. Just when I thought things couldn't get better, Rose wowed me with my hair color! I've been blonde for 2.5 years, and I was ready to go back to my naturally darker shade. I showed her a picture and she quickly and adeptly began mixing colors together effortlessly. It was a long process, and yet she kept me entertained in the chair. I didn't once feel bored or impatient. She has a great personality and she's genuinely fun to talk to! She expertly did my color and was incredibly patient. She knew I was nervous to change my color, so she took things slowly, explaining what she was doing as she went. I really appreciated it that she mapped out my hair and showed me where the different colors would go. When we were almost done, (she had nearly completely finished) I asked her if it would be possible to go even darker. She didn't bat an eye; she just sat me down in the chair and perfectly executed what I wanted. She was running on vague descriptions from me and still absolutely killed it. I have serious trust issues. My colorist left PG years ago to pursue a life in CO with her new husband. In the mean time, I have been unhappily trying to find a new colorist/stylist. I should state I adored her and wished her the absolute best. After many tries and disasters I let my hair run amok for way too long.
