One thing I've learned about Chrystal... She's a fixer... Constantly upgrading her staff, location, and products they sell, which are the best the market offers. THEY RUINED MY HAIR. I went here for a trim and a keratin treatment. When I arrived, they told me that they didn't have enough keratin, but could offer me gloss instead for the same price (did I get a good deal? I'm not sure). When my stylist was done, and I looked in the mirror, I said, "my hair is a different color" to which she replied, "no, it isn't," to which I said, "no, it is." (Because, obviously, I would know. Why would she try and argue this??) Then she said, "oops, it wasn't supposed to do that." Words you never want your stylist to say! I've waited a month to post this because I was hopeful the color would fade. It didn't; I now have roots. I've avoided having roots my whole life. Then, I went here. They don't know what they're doing. I'll never be back. Edited to add: I went through their five star recommendations and found fake accounts, accounts with no profile and only one recommendation, that they must have created in order to give themselves five stars. My sister and I were in town for the holidays and wanted new haircuts. Our stylists did an amazing job. I've never had my hair cut dry before so I was apprehensive, but their knowledge and skill put me at ease. They listened to what we wanted and helped us to meet all of our goals with the texture we have (my sister and I both have pretty flat hair and don't style it a lot, so we wanted something pretty but also low maintenance). We're both super happy with the result: it's definitely the best haircut I've had in years. Do not get your hair dyed by Brenda she destroyed my hair. She left bleach on it for hours, my hair has been literally following out and breaking off because of how weak it is. Brenda did not offer a refund and got offended I did not like my hair. On top of this she did not give the style of highlights like I asked/showed pictures. Here's why: 1) I called 15 places (no exaggeration) and NO ONE was available. Then, after she first recommended someone else who turned out not to be available, and then Crystal at Prim was able to rearrange some things and fit me in the same day!!! Chrystal was super sweet and helpful doing my hair and my 10-year-old daughter's hair for family reunion pictures! Thirty of us were together for the first time in 15 years so we hired a photographer to document the occasion. I'm from Detroit and I didn't want to lug hair styling stuff across county to Monterey. Chrystal created time for us in her busy schedule so that we could feel beautiful and confident for the photo session. My daughter loved the experience, she got right on my phone and started posing for selfies. Too cute! Chrystal is truly skilled at her craft and has an eye for her clients and what works best/doesn't.
