I was given no hassle when I arrived with a script in hand and only needing glasses. They were the only shop from my multi-month search that had even one pair I was willing to consider wearing for the next year, let alone the three I found. The prices are great. Even if you were paying out of pocket, Westway prices things reasonably. Their OOP price for the glasses (with lens treatment add-ons) I chose was equal to what I've paid at other places after all the insurance coverages and discounts were calculated. Oscar never once pressured me with an upsell to get a second pair of glasses or sunglasses, and he gave really solid recommendations after quickly catching on to my sense of style. And my finished glasses were ready in less than a week! As if that weren't enough, Oscar effortlessly passed the test I do every time I shop for glasses. I go to the women's section first. I wait for someone to redirect me to the men's section. I say something like, "You never know what you'll find...", and I await their response. Oscar's? "Ok!" And he chilled behind the counter until I was ready. Many thanks to the team at Westway for nurturing such an inclusive and safe medical and retail environment. However, I was still deciding on new contacts and new glasses when the quarantine began. Thankfully, they were still reachable and operating remotely on a limited basis. I was able to coordinate my one year supply of contacts with my rebate, and it was mailed to me out of state where I was quarantining with family. When they were back in office, they helped me coordinate my new glasses and also had them shipped to me out of state. I'm beyond satisfied with their professionalism and empathy! I could deal with staff being morose and allergic to smiling if it wasn't also accompanied by a general shadiness that leaves me demoralized and feeling taken advantage of. Nothing has a price on it and she won't show you anything without first asking, Well, how much are you looking to spend? She looks over the glasses and you can see the wheels in her head turning as she considers how much she is going to try and charge you. She'll then quote you a price, offer a discount and then conveniently forget the discount when it comes to time to ring you up. She will try and convince you every single lens treatment is a must have, even the ones like a filter for blue light the efficacy of which is very much open to debate. Getting a copy of your prescription is like getting a work permit from the French government (even though it's your right!). I get a more ethical vibe from street vendors! To top it off, the selection here is terrible. They cannot answer even the most basic questions about the benefits offered by your health plan. When you ask, 'Is there any way you could look that information up?' she emits a soul destroying sigh to protest you interrupting her sedentariness. There is just a general carelessness to everything they do. They try to send you out with your new glasses without a case for them. They don't call you when your glasses are ready. I called them and they told me the glasses had arrived three days earlier! They often make you wait unreasonably long for scheduled appointments. I had to wait for 30 minutes once to get frames adjusted because the optometrist wouldn't do it and the only other staff member was "running an errand". They sent me home once with the wrong prescription!

Amazing People and great customer service! I went in to fix the liners of my glasses and of course Isabella was very helpful and detailed on how to take proper care not only of my glasses but my eye sight as well. She was not trying to sell anything but only provide me friendly conversation while I waited for my glasses to be done. This store was very convenient because I work 3 blocks away and let me tell you the decoration inside the store is great!! On a scale of 1-10, I rate the customer service that was provided to me a 10 and I definitely would love to come back for a pair of good quality frames. I'd definitely recommend this store to anyone who is looking to buy some good frames and a nice warm environment!!!! read more

Out of over 100 stores in the NYC area that were covered under my insurance, I randomly chose this one and was thoroughly impressed! Amazingly friendly staff, who were nice enough to actually call my insurance company and sort out how much coverage I got. The lady was extremely patient when showing me different eye glasses and listing the pros and cons of each. Igor is a class act, from my initial phone call to check if my contacts were covered, to the pick up of them. Contact delivery only took 2 days and they had samples available. These people take their customer service very seriously! I will be with them for a while! read more

This is best place to get glasses we have ever used. We've worn glasses our whole lives and never found this combination of service, professionalism and friendliness. We have actually become friends with the owners, Igor and Izabella! They have a good selection of frames but are happy to work with ones you bring in. Their optometrist is great. Then the attention to detail ensuring that everything is just right is truly impressive. So we have bought five pairs of glasses here and will probably keep going. I want to thank Igor and Isabella, Brother/ Sister, co-owners of La Bleu Optique, for taking such incredible care of my eye-glasses crisis. Ten years ago, my BFF offered me a pair of eye-glasses that changed the way I was perceived by the world. This year, they fell and shattered on the sidewalk. All I wanted was to replace them by the same model, which, of course, had been discontinued by the manufacturer. Isabella using her knowledge, her network, her clout, located two such pairs. Yesterday morning I woke up, got out of bed, and stepped on my glasses. They broke, the lens came out, and the plastic strings that hold the lenses broke in half. I had to catch a flight to New York City. The first thing I did after the plane landed was look up an optical, and the closest one was La Bleau. Izabella immediately offered to repair my glasses. These guys crushed it. They have a very bespoke collection of frames that they make sure fit you perfectly. Further, I accidentally gave them my contact prescription, had the glasses made, and when I realized the mistake, they ordered new lenses FREE OF CHARGE. I was so afraid I had made a very expensive mistake but these guys took care of it. I will definitely be going back for my next pair. read more

They were fantastic. They were very friendly and professional and took all the time necessary to make sure my glasses looked great, fit comfortably and worked well. They are trifocals, with one lens much stronger than the other, so it was a complicated prescription. They have a huge selection of frames, and their prices are quite reasonable. I stopped by to have my Mykita glasses worked on. I bought them in San Diego years ago, and the frame had been bent. Egor has wonderful. He fixed them and even adjusted the glasses to fit my face, as they had never been adjusted correctly. Even gave me a free cloth bag with cleaning spray. This place is great! I have been looking for an eye wear place for custom sized lenses and this is the place. They have a lab on site and custom sized lenses for me as I have a small face and standard sizes don't work for me. Plus they offer the top of the line digital lenses which not all places do.
