    Hot Americana Pizza

The food here was excellent. Portion sizes are large and the prices are fair. The indoor setting is quite nice, with an actual grapevine in the ceiling. I paid 9 pounds for the pizza, and it was more than enough for me (see pic). The service leaves a lot to be desired, however, which is why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5. After having an empty drink glass for more than 10 minutes, I finally got the waiter to acknowledge I was there. I ordered a refill of my Coke and waited. The waiter came back into the dining room about 7-8 times without looking at me. Finally, after 15 minutes of waiting, I got my refill. If you can deal with spotty service, the food is wonderful. To top it off, this was less than a two minute walk from the Holiday Inn Terminal 5 hotel.

What a delightful place on the side of the road! Delicious, authentic, Italian food. I had the homemade pasta with fresh seafood and a white wine sauce. I cleaned the plate. My husband had the lasagna- very yummy. The owner and staff were so friendly- you felt like you were in their home. Quaint setting with a real vineyard hanging from the ceiling. Definitely go see Tony for the best food near Heathrow airport. (Only downside is the noise of the airplanes taken off. )

If you find yourself at one of the Terminal 5 hotels, at Heathrow airport ... This is a hidden little gem. Although I stayed at the Hilton which had some pretty good food ~ I'm always on the hunt for something other than a "chain" food environment. This place was great. I sat in the enclosed patio with real grapevines overhead & there is a quaint little rose garden in the back for all to enjoy. The setting was very intimate. The staff was very helpful, quick and authentic Italian. It was nice to finally eat a salad in the UK, without having to eat it with "salad cream" as a dressing. We had pasta dishes which were amazing (I added some chili oil, but I like a little kick to my pasta). All in all ... The place was amazing. Oh yea, not to pricey either. There's not many options at Terminal 5 (which is really a few square miles of hotels around the Terminal) - this place however ... I would go out of my way to eat at even if it was local to my house!

This is a fabulous family Italian restaurant in Burnham…read more It opened around six months ago, and has around 30 tables. But already it is worth booking, because it has already become so popular. And here's why. The food is fantastic. The menu is wide, including all the normal Italian dishes you would expect from a good Italian restaurant, such as a variety of pasta, pizza, meat, and a couple of fish dishes. The pizza is home made from scratch and cooked in a wood fired pizza oven. Made with fresh ingredients, both kids and adults love them. The pasta is also home made, with a good range of sauces, such as bolognaise, seafood and penne arrabiate. If you like lasagne, they make one of the nicest I have ever had. Huge portion and so delicious. Tonight, we started with octopus and aubergine. The octopus came with a tomato sauce, on a bed of curried mashed potatoes. The aubergine was baked in a cheese sauce. For the main course, we had steak with a pepper sauce and vegetables, served in an attract wooden slab. And a chicken baked on a creamy gorgonzola sauce. Although we did not ask for it, the restaurant thought roast potatoes would be nice with the meal, so they brought us a portion on the house. We finished off with sticky toffee pudding. Unusually, not too heavy, coming with ice cream and cinnamon sugar, a great way to end. The food was perfectly cooked, and tasted exquisite. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. We went earlyish, so there were plenty of kids. The brought a very happy feel to the place. The staff were completely comfortable with it all. In fact, the restaurant is a place that seems laid back with just about anything. You can wear what you like, go for an intimate meal or go with a party of friends. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and warm. We have been a number of times. The meal generally costs between £30-£70 for two. Tonight, the meal cist £71 include bottle of Montpulcianno wine. Thoroughly recommended. If you go, you are in for a treat, with or without kids, alone or in a party. But you would be wise to book if you want to be sure you will not have to wait for a table.
