We found this place earlier this week, but couldn't make it until tonight and DANG!!! Was absolutely AMAZING!!! The reviews are what brought us here, but they don't give the quality and freshness of the food justice! Their food proves incredibly delicious fresh ingredients makes for the perfect combination for excellence! Best to share various dishes so you can sample it all. The nachos were BOMB! Their Tuna tartare was so fresh as was the shrimp ceviche. The flank steak quesadilla was super delicious! Lastly the bbq pizza and coconut shrimp were mind blowing! It's a very small place next to an OXXO and a small bar. This has been absolutely the best meal we've had here in Cancun! Salud! read more

The food was alright. We got the Pasta Bamba, which is a chef favorite and I wasn't too thrilled with it. Kind of bland. The tacos were beautiful but the flavor wasn't there for my stepdad. My mom got shrimp with rice and yet still bland. My coconut shrimp was delicious and crispy. I would get the coconut shrimp again.. seeing the great reviews I think we should get the ceviche or pizza next time. read more

We were greeted and served by Pato (Patricio). He was very cordial and attentive. The vibe was relaxed and the music was new age top 40 type music. The decor inside is simple but tasteful. The best part: THE FOOD! Super delicious! I ordered the seafood tower(torre de mariscos). It was fresh and a good-sized portion. And the presentation, as you can see, is great! It was a great combo of lemon, green salsa, shrimp, avocado, and fresh tuna. I would order it again! My wife had the fried fish (Which she had been craving) and was very happy with how it turned out. We had New York steak with shrimp; whole fried fish with rice and a super fresh salad; and a pepperoni pizza that was the best in Cancun. I actually thought we were in the states. It would be easy to walk right past LaBomba and not realize it was there....don't make that mistake! We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned the next night. The seafood tower alone is worth going for.....fresh, bright flavors, perfect texture. The second night I also tried the hearts of palm seviche which was delicious and would be a great option for anyone who doesn't eat fish. Fish tacos and coconut shrimp were also exceptonal. LaBamba will deliver but you wouldn't want to miss spending time with Patricio, the owner. He treated us like family....even making special pizzas for my grandchildren just the way they like them. In addition to answering any questions we had about the food, he helped us learn about Cancun beyond the tourist attractions.
