How do you spend a birthday in Cancun?? We'll let me show you, first you head over to Las ape for this big ass marg and hookah ohhh and let me not forget tacoosssss!! I recommend the shrimp tacos. They were too goodttt!!! The service was on point, the vibes were on point, everything was really on point and boyyy make sure you take at least three shots (it's only right) So head over to The Hotel Zone in Cancun and get y'all some of this!!!!
This is one of the best spots in Cancún. The place is divey and they play loud music; if that doesn't bother you, just order food from here. I was very skeptical about eating here,But I'm glad I did. The food was delicious, but simple. Everything I ordered was delicious. The Michelada was great as well. I order the michelada with a Modelo beer and it was very tasty. Overall this was the less expensive place that I ate and one of the best.
So there are (at least) two restaurants by this same name in Cancun but this is the one in the party zone. The food isn't amazing but it's pretty darn good plus our service was over the top terrific. Depending on your mood, sitting outside or inside makes a huge difference. Inside, you've got a fairly quiet restaurant. Outside, you've got a front row seat to the drunks and vendors and zanies walking this area. That's what we wanted and, even though there weren't any outside tables available, they quickly and happily set one up at our request. The margaritas are tangy and clearly homemade (no mix). The micheladas come in a stein as large as a Buick and are fresh and spicy. The horchata was freshly made, too, and delicious. The guacamole--ordered at the start--did not appear until after our meals were served which was a bit of a bummer but it was also homemade and very good. For our meals, we split the regular sized mariscada with shrimp (the dish everyone seems to get based on the pictures on Yelp) and a ceviche that was MASSIVE. Neither dish was spectacular but there was plenty of food, it all tasted fresh, and it was all tasty. Aside from the dry and boring salad portion, The mariscada is a fun dish and came with rice, beans, fantastic grilled peppers, and two differently prepared shrimp servings. This is not a fancy or amazing restaurant but it's fun and reliable and sometimes that's good enough.

Unfortunately the other shops nearby were all closed due to Covid and weren't opening up for another couple days. Luckily, one of the waiters flagged us over with promises of cool a/c and we're so glad he did! The food and drink were delicious. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and frozen margarita and my husband got a variety of different tacos. The wait stuff were friendly and courteous and even helped my husband find a spot to park our bikes. Definitely recommend this off the beaten path spot- just ignore all the annoying locals trying to sell you things along the way.

Was looking for some fresh grilled fish tacos in the main party zone in Cancun and found this place from fellow yelpers. If your looking for grilled fish or shrimp tacos this is the place. Fish was fresh and delicious. I ordered the garlic mojo de ajo and ajillo grilled fish tacos. My favorite of the two was the ajillo I liked the chili under the fish (was very mild which was great). Santos the waiter explained all the fish taco varieties and I stayed away from the spicy ones for sure. Some others might like those but I can't handle spicy food :) Guacamole was big but wasn't that good I have had better unfortunately.
Amazing. Literally was starving and passed by-- the music drew me in lol they were jamming . Ordered the whole fish & I'm embarrassed to show how I left the plate lol but it was great. Very welcoming staff , great drinks. Also stayed and did hooka for a bit. Hooka pricing same as US. Can't wait to go back
Great service great food. Marisco's were on point but I have had better not gona lie. Hard Shell shrimp tacos with avocado was bomb, had ceviche and camarones de ajo(garlic) plate.
Poor decoration. Cheap chairs and greasy tables. Some dishes charge more than my 4 star hotel. The flavour was just OK. The waiter missed one of our shared dish leaving us unhappy and unsatisfactory. We had tacos and grilled fish. They are both Ok. Filling of tacos was not generous. The fish was better. The fish came with rice and salad. The big tray of dish looks interesting but we never get that and didn't want to wait for it.

Such great service from the waiter. Their agua frescas were delicious and for the price?! Un-believable! I loved it! The thing that really made this place stick out was their green salsa!!!! Had to ask the lady that worked there how to make it before I left, it was to die forrrrr.
We finally was able to try this place out last min after shopping at the Mexican outlet. The servers waved us down and I was like yessss been wanting to try this place out. We were only trying to get a small meal but boy the super pascadilla platter looked so good ! So we got 2 beers along with the meal. Lemme tell you our server was probably one of the best I've seen in my restaurant life. He puts a lot of servers around the world to shame. The food was great. Even thought we didn't finish it all we took it to go. The beers was amazing. After trying all 3 in the area. I'd say this place beats out mextreme and Mariano any day.
This is a nice casual Mexican restaurant located in the heart of the Hotel Zone. They start the meal off with free nachos. We had the very tasty fajitas with chicken here and their portions are huge. They also make very good and strong margaritas. Prices are standard for this area, which means not that cheap! This place was blasting the music and is surrounded by other bars and restaurants, so if you are looking for someone quiet, this is definitely not it. For those who want to be in the middle of the action, come here and enjoy the outdoor seating. read more

This place is AMAZING !!!!!! Their portions were HUGE! I've been looking for a place to have ceviche. And let me tell you, this placed is it. I have just two days left here in Cancun and I will definitely be returning here again before I leave. My husband had the chicken fajitas and he really enjoyed it. Their mango margarita was delicious. The staff was sooooo friendly and kind. Their English was really good as well. They took such good care of us. They went over and above. All other restaurants were closed and I'm glad they were. Had they been open we may had missed this place. If your a tourist looking for some good authentic Mexican food this is the place to come and visit. SO GOOD!!!! read more

The food was so great!!! staff were kind and their service was really good!! I especially enjoyed the food with grilled pineapple shrimp and cheese !! Of course taco was good too!! This place made my dinner feel wonderful! Thanks guys read more

Close walk from the aloft with lots of other businesses around. Friendly waiter that can explain all the dishes. I did my research first so I kinda know what I want already. The Shrimp Ceviche is bit different from the TexMex, served without lots of juice in a bowl, instead on a plate. I was here mainly for the seafood combo plate. Since the regular size is too much for two of us, we went for the half size. The price do change based on the season. Some of photo shows 500 peso for the full size, I saw 650 during January. Overall taste of that is good. It has rice, salad, grilled peppers and 3 flavors of shrimps - regular grilled, garlic flavor and cilantro sauced. I like the garlic one the best. You can mix them and eat like a mix salad, or wrap them with soft tortillas and add some chipotles sauce. read more

If you are looking for Authentic Mexican food, this the place, flavors are excellent and service was spectacular. My 3 boys and I enjoy every single dish we ordered. My favorite was the chilaquilles, fish tacos were delicious and the michelada was refreshing. Our waiter was the best! I will save this for when I come back to visit. Prices were on point, very reasonable. read more

Very great food, must try whatever the name of what I got was, and the drink was amazing. It wasn't strong but had tons of flavor so definitely try it out. Prices are cheap compared to New York so what can you complain about ?! read more

Most friendly service. Owner and staff are accommodating and helpful. A place to chill and drink in a wild nightlife scene. Highly recommend!! Definitely try the hookah too! If Chris is your server your in good hands! read more

Best shrimp a la diabla I have ever had. Not to spicy but definitely had a kick to it. My husbands fish fillet in garlic butter was amazing. My kids had shrimp battered tacos and they were really good too. Watch it with their habanero sauce. Too spicy. Their other sauces were great. Very reasonable pricing and great service. Very good place to eat if you're a tourist in the area and not wanting to stray far from your hotel for a nice dinner! Be prepared to wait a little bit for your food but overall we enjoyed our meal here greatly. The prices for everything was pretty good considering the other restaurants in the area. We started off our meal with a margarita and Pina colada which we split among three people - the sizes of the drinks were very generous. We highly recommend the Pina Colada!! It was refreshing, not too sweet, and so delicious. We ordered shrimp fajitas to share and two fish tacos each. The fish tacos were very fresh and taste better than it looks. I would recommend getting individual tacos rather than the fajitas because they're easier to eat and they didn't give us much shrimp. Great spot for tourists in the area! Friendly service! read more

Loved the foods and people working here.The sauces were amazing and seafood was fresh. Free WiFi. I saw a review about how the waiters tried too hard to bring people into the restaurant and I honestly think there is no problem with that as the competition seems to be really fierce. read more
Not a bad little spot by coco bongo, this place is in a slim alley way with a few restaurants and bars but I wanted a quick lunch before heading back to beach which is across the street, what drew me to this place was the shrimp platter you get it with different sauces came in a serving tray as your plate thought that was funny place wasn't busy but didn't care for it, just average read more

The food here was good and seasoned just like I like it. They offered a free margarita with the purchase of a meal. The margarita was great although I saw the bartender putting his finger over the tequila bottle which after I said something he changed them all. Idk if his hands were clean but it doesn't really matter that was just unsanitary. The server was amazing and we were able to pay with USD and pesos. read more

I will start off by saying Santos and the other gentleman (I forgot his name) were very nice and friendly. They had to be both the waiter and the person out in front of the restaurant trying to get people to come in and have a meal. With that being said, they were kind of back and forth, running in and out and not as attentive as they should've/could've been, but they tried. As far as the food, the chicken soup was delicious. In addition to the chicken, it had diced onions, tomatoes and green peppers in it. The entree was OK at best. It didn't seem too authentic to me. They also don't give you a good size portion for the price in my opinion. If I didn't have the soup before my entree, I probably would've still been hungry. I was really hoping for some food I could brag about because the guys were so nice, but they fell short. Just on a side note, they also add the tip in with your total. read more
