My son ordered a pair of Vans shoes on June 4, 2015. He received 2 e-mails (one from Mark Baldwin and another from l2outside.com) that the order was confirmed. After several weeks we had not received a shipment notice or the item. The purchase was never charged to my credit card account so we thought that there may have been a mistake in the billing information we submitted. We re-ordered the shoes on July 4. Again I received the same two confirmation e-mails showing the correct product name, item number, billing information, and shipping address. As of July 20 we still have not received the shoes. My account has not been charged. I have sent several e-mails requesting an explanation for the delay. I have left several messages on the company's customer service line. They say they will reply to questions within 24 hours but I have not received a single reply. I am extremely dissatisfied with their customer service. I am wondering if they even have the shoes I ordered and, if not, why they would confirm an order for an item they do not have in stock. If you are thinking of ordering an item online from this store, I would seriously reconsider. read more

I had such a great time with my three teen daughters on the river w Dirk and Spencer as our stand up paddle board sunset tour guides! (Great time of day to be out!) The new entry point on the Coolidge Park side is so much better than last year when we had to carry our boards across the street from the store and down the aquarium stairs to the dock. Dirk (owner) and Spencer (tour guide guru) taught the very varied group well, had fun, were patient and responsible. A really great guy stayed on shore and was ready for us when we returned. (Apologies for missing his name!) AND both even did the slack line over the water while the duck boat tour watched and cheered along with our group! Definitely a fun outing with a great business and great people! Their store is great, too!!!! read more

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time paddle boarding with L2 outside. We did the sunset SUP tour with them back in August 2016 and still reminisce on what a great time we had. Neither of us had been paddle boarding before and the instructor (Dirk) was very helpful and patient. He was flexible to accommodate our slow speed and general struggle balancing, but still made sure we saw some cool stuff and were each able to stand up and feel comfortable on the boards. We very much enjoyed soaking in the sunset while learning to SUP and were also grateful for the pictures that Dirk took and shared with us. Thanks for a great experience! We hope to make it back to Chattanooga some day, and will certainly book another trip with L2 Outside if so! read more

Dirk, Patrick, and Sam were all great. We hosted 10 girls for our daughter's 15th birthday and were very pleased with the service and quality of boards. One suggestion that would have made it even more enjoyable-- allow those with reservations to meet you under the pier without having to check in at the shop first. Parking by the shop is tight, and it was a bit clunky to bring 10 girls in there just to turn in our waivers. Otherwise we had a great experience and would recommend L2 highly to anyone wanting to try paddle boarding or kayaking. I had a great day experiencing Chattanooga's outdoor scene up close and personal. The guru guys made my experience effortless all the way to the water under the bridge between Coolidge and Renaissance, where experienced riders were putting in and taking out- sharing helpful advice and getting me excited to take on the river. McClellan Island and the rock face under the Hunter art museum were surreal, and there appeared to be a cave under the art museum- but I will have to figure that out when I go back next time I have a day off. I'm going to see about a membership so I can make this a regular thing. read more

This is marked by a small brown sign (in our case, on this day the sign was covered with trash). We came here on a day of outdoor adventures, coming from Prentice Cooper state forest, taking several "scenic" routes and finally finding a parking spot at the entrance. When we walked this trail, which truly is a 0.3 mile slightly downhill to flat trail, there was only one other family on this trail, making it pretty isolated, but also making the views all the more sweeter. Here's the thing...maybe it was the extreme and relentless heat this summer or the lack of rain, but as we continued to walk down the trail, neither of us could hear water! Sadly, we didn't hear any water because on this day, there was none. The falls were dry, being limited to a trickle. There are photos of the falls that look lovely. With this said, even if the falls were running at full capacity, you would be looking at them from the top of the falls, not head on. You would have to come at it from below to see that. If the falls were running, instantly this is a 5 star review for me. Because it was dry,i'm only giving it 4 stars, because it still was pretty to look at, and a nice walk overall. The address listed for Falling Water falls trail puts you right near the parking lot. I don't think this is a residential address, although there are homes directly across from the lot.
