Oh wow this spot was lots of fun!!! I definitely Recommend going to sunset rock first then on your way back down hill go to glen falls as parking was a lot easier to access!! Now I don't think this was the time of year (October) where there was a lot of water to create a better stream of water for the falls but this was a great hike up! Now don't get lost continuing straight down the trail once you pass the bridge! Make sure to go where my finger in the picture below is pointed. It's a staircase going up into a small like cave and continues up! For the larger open falls area! So much fun! Just don't be like me and go jumping down any rocks! You may fall!!! Here's some pics of our adventure! Giving it a 4.5 star as parking is a bit difficult.

Happy Short Hike, Little Waterfall & Bridge No admission fees, park passes or anything needed but some decent footwear. Parking is tricky here. The spot can be tricky for the first timer. It is the spot with 10-12 parking spots on the cliff side of the road usually all fulfilled with cars. Be careful: Winding mountain road with people driving faster than the speed limit where you have a blind pull out into traffic from the roadside parking. There is a cool little spot going through the rocks my son was amused climbing in. Nice little area for sure. There is a lower falls area and the upper falls are the cooler spot for pictures. This might be a better spot after a little rain or when show is melting. The water fall wasn't flowing much in our visit but still worth the short hike to being in the woods and recharge the batteries in the brain.

For starters it is a very rocky trail so have some good shoes on. It only took us probably 10 minutes to reach the first waterfall. Kept climbing up towards some steps through a cave and saw more waterfalls. I had a blast and definitely a workout to start my Monday . Rocks were slippery on the falls but that didn't stop us from getting on them. Had plenty of great picture views and would definitely try this trail again. Probably took only an hour or so to do most of the trail and turn back around .

I really wanted to go to Lula falls, but who knew it required making a reservation??!- so to ensure my trip was not in vain I decided to find Glen Falls Trail. As noted by another Yelper, you have not arrived when the GPS. Tells you you have. Continue o drive south until you see a small parking area. There is a sign that tells you that the trail starts, but it is likely blocked by a vehicle. I consider the trail to be fairly easy. There is only moderate elevation. You can gear the falls prior to arriving at it. The day I went there had not been a ton of rain so I did not get to experience it in all it's glory. Note- there are steps that lead up to higher elevation just behind the waterfall, so keep going!

This is a great little hike! The trail is clear and not very technical and only has gradual elevation changes and some stairs. It is not very long, only about a mile out and back. If you do desire a more challenging hike, you can make it that! We took a little extra time and crossed over the water by navigating over rocks and trees. There is also an opportunity to do some more technical climbing. This is a perfect hike for kids that like to explore, but don't have the stamina or attention span for a long distance hike. We took a 3 year-old and 11 year-old and they both enjoyed it. The 3 year-old boy loved navigating the rocks to cross over the water. The parking her can be challenging and easily missed as you approach the trail head. Drive slow as you approach so you don't pass it and have to go further up the mountain and turn around.

This is a really good trail, It was an easy and quick hike for us. We were able to enjoy the views and there are so many trees that there is plenty of shade for a hot sunny day. It took us probably 20mins to complete the trail. I will be going back because I would like to know the total distance and an accurate time. This trail doesn't have a parking space, you just park on the shoulder either at the entrace or across the street, this is also free!

beautiful and easy trail right off the road. small parking area (only about 5 cars) but not a very long trail before you get to the falls, about a half mile.

Love this hike!!! The trails and scenery are beautiful. The only reason I'm giving this a one is because unfortunately while hiking for less than 20min someone broke our rental car window and stoled our luggage.

A scenic view along the trail.

A bit of a hidden gem, though tricky to find. The intersection on Yelp is a little bit off. You have to go about a mile farther south and then there's a small pulloff area with room for about 4-5 cars to park. I came here a day after rain, so some of the trails were muddy and even covered with a couple of inches of water in spots. Either way, I walked the trail south, having no idea what to expect. It was scenic at first, with areas of overgrown ivy and the sound of water falling in the distance. I suddenly came upon the "main" waterfall and it was breathtaking. Not a huge waterfall, but still beautiful in its own right. The bridge crossing the falls might make you cringe, but I walked over in a few times and it seems sturdy enough. If you continue south, you will come across a few other smaller waterfalls. I didn't walk the entire stretch, as it was starting to get dark. Overall, this was a nice place to walk/hike and take photos of the waterfalls. Since it's free, I'd highly recommend coming here if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg, as apparently some nearby trails/parks charge. The only downsides were limited parking and some of the trails being very wet, even after just a modest rainfall.

Warning: This trailhead is not easy to find. Glen Falls is right off of Ochs Highway (just past Sanders Road) and the trail leads to waterfalls that are even more beautiful than you can imagine. This is a fairly easy hike, and it only takes about 15 minutes before you'll start to hear the waterfalls. The elevation increases pretty quickly once you reach the falls-- there's a bridge, stone steps, and a little cave that brings you out to the very top. It's a great escape to peaceful surroundings. Looking for the perfect place to propose? A hike that the kids can handle? Glen Falls has got you covered.

I was looking for somewhere beautiful to get a panorama of Chattanooga (+ more) from an awesome vantage point, and I found this spot on Google. It's a bit of a winding drive to eventually arrive to the site, and when you do, parking is extremely limited. It's either you got luck or God on your side, to park right where the "rock" is, but I was very fortunate. The steps are very large and irregular getting to the actual "site", and if you are not fit --- just go slow. However, once you arrive --- it's like heaven. A view from the heavens overseeing the Tennessee River Gorge, Prentice Cooper State Forest, and valleys. Spending 20-30 minutes after getting up their will clear your mind. A view that you should not pass up!

So, from my perspective, I'd rate this as a moderately difficult hike. The trail is about 3.5 miles round trip and took us around 2 hours, not including the time we spent enjoying the view at the top. The summit is absolutely worth the effort-the view is breathtaking. Be sure to bring plenty of water. Thankfully, the trail has lots of shade, which helped keep us cool and protected from the sun.

The waterfall at the end is beautiful and made a perfect spot to rest. We let Luna take a quick swim to cool off, but were very cautious about her not drinking the water. Since it hadn't rained recently, we felt confident it was safe, and thankfully, Luna had no issues after swimming.

We learned there are different ways to get to the top of Signal Point but all are pretty dang curvy and steep. We enjoyed our drive and the area appears to be very charming and peaceful. The Signal Point park is located adjacent to a residential neighborhood and is very well marked and easy to find. There are approximately 20 designated parking spots. It was a very cold afternoon so we bundled up and walked down to the overlook. It was really beautiful, with the Tennessee River flowing below and the array of rock ridges. The history of the area is incredible as well, there are signs within the park to help educate guests on the challenges of those who came before us. We learned that during the Civil War the river was a natural highway through the region but sections of rapids were impassable for large vessels. Supply boats bound for Chattanooga had to be pulled by ropes through the man-made side channels which strengthened the Union army for Sherman's advance on Atlanta in 1864. We also learned when the Confederate forces laid siege to Chattanooga in September 1863, they cut off telegraph lines to the city. The Federals, in order to move messages from Chattanooga, a series of signal stations were established. One of these stations was Signal Point. Incredible history and beautiful location all in one. We would highly recommend to others visiting or living in the area.

A waiver is required to be signed the day of the hike in person. Bug spray was provided prior to our hike. I chose to do the Soul therapy hike for my birthday because it offers a variety of scenery. It was one of my favorite hikes I've done over the years. It ranged from views above the falls down to close up views touching the water. Although, you can take a super short cut to the falls, it is still a steep path down into the gorge. We took the longer trail which is even more scenic involving various beautiful views and overlooks, tall walls of sandstone and one major steep descent of rocks into the gorge which requires a lot of careful footing placement & maybe 1-2 areas ( the rock wall or a random tree trunk) to hold onto for balance. Honestly, if I didn't have Hope & Ryan as guides and I was doing the hike on my own with just friends, I probably would have taken one look down that steep of a sea of rocks and said let's go another way. Hahaha.. But Hope was leading and offered her arm as balance support if needed, which I took a few times. Slow & steady my friends. Along the way, we also crossed two cool bridges as well. The falls were pretty and kind of reminded me of the Salto do Prego waterfall in Sao Miguel. It was a wonderful time with Hope & Ryan where we were able to learn about the area, the wildflowers and rest on the way back to our hotel in their nice, clean , comfortable and AC SUV while snacking on the way back & having good conversation. They also provide some coupons to local restaurants and shops, & an EXPERIENCE CHATTANOOGA sticker. They were kind enough to accommodate picking us up last minute at a local breakfast place that we had walked to from our hotel since, it was close to our pick up time. We really appreciated it! They offer many different hikes and different levels. If I had been there a whole week, I would have probably booked the all day waterfalls tour and the alpaca farm & coffee tour too! Be sure to check out their website! They provide in depth descriptions of their different hikes. Also, some hikes are only done certain days of the week so make sure to check for their availability! Military discounts & discounts for groups over a certain number are offered. Just be sure to mention it to them prior to payment.
