Strawberry bombe $10
Violet P.

I had been to L2 Grill once before for breakfast and this time we decided to try it for my birthday dinner. It's was pretty quiet on a weekday evening with a few booths occupied when we arrived. The hostess was friendly and prompted seated us in the third booth along the wall. The decor is a little dark but lovely with the red accents. We browsed the drink menu and I ordered the lime lychee drink that I enjoyed. For the entrees, there was quite a few steak options, pork chop, shrimp and pasta, fish, chicken, and a vegetarian main dish. There were also salads and a selection of appetizers. I decided to order 2 appetizers; the crab cake and shrimp cocktail. I asked about the calamari but our server told us it was more a salad with some calamari in it so we didn't order that. While waiting for our dinner, we were brought a bread basket with a few buns and slices or various breads. I like the variety and that it was not all white bread. It came with 3 balls of butter. While waiting for our dinner, there were a few more tables that became occupied but the restaurant doesn't get too noisy which I appreciated. We didn't have to wait long until our food arrived. My crab cake was one cake and was prepared fried. It came with some sauce a little bit of greens. The jumbo shrimp was 3 shrimp and while they were jumbo, it would have been nice is there was an one or two more. The crab cake was crispy on the outside and had ample crab inside but next time I wouldn't order is as I'm not a fan of the crispy crab cakes. There was still room for dessert so I tried something different with the strawberry bombe with mousse and strawberry inside and on a sponge cake. It was a sweet touch they included a Happy Birthday sign on top of the mousse and she let me know my dessert was also on the house. I enjoyed my dessert along with the strawberries that came with it. The service was attentive for the evening. It was a little strange as I would order and then the server would assume that was all we wanted without asking my husband what he would like. She did this with the 2 appetizers I orders and then with my dessert. I guess she thought he wasn't hungry. I might come back depending on the menu items but not a place I would frequent.

Our dinner was a part of a stay & play package before we headed over to The Comic Strip for the show later. Well, normally I take much better food pictures than this, so the fact that we dove right in says a lot. I'm just going to say it...since I had to "pre-order" our meals I had very low expectations. I figured to was going to be some low quality, starchy pre-made fodder. And guess what kids, I was dead wrong. We started with an app, cheeseburger onion ring bites. Very tasty and crunchy nuggets of goodness! I had chosen the AAA Alberta Flat Iron which was a Cajun rubbed steak served with truffle mashed potatoes, seasonal veg, and natural jus. The other meal was a smoked bacon wrapped porchetta with a blueberry balsamic gastrique, rosemary bread pudding and salted caramel jus. Both dishes were really fantastic and hubby and I shared! The food quality and service were just awesome! We had one little mix up with the bill, but it was corrected immediately. Unfortunately the brunch buffet the next morning was not quite as stellar. Very basic choices available, sausage and bacon, fruit, yogurt, sloppy bread pudding, scrambled eggs reminiscent of a continental breakfast at a chain hotel, a nice assortment of baked goods, cereal, oatmeal etc. Very basic, no wow's here. Lots of kids running around everywhere... Brunch was included in the price of the room/package so we decided to partake. If I was paying for it myself, I wouldn't have bothered, especially with tons of food choices available in the mall.

On of my favourite places to go for Sunday brunch buffet. So many tasty options from shrimp, clams, crab legs, to an omelette bar, roast beef carving station, to hot dishes like eggs Benedict, French toast, bacon and sausage and many more. The desserts are so beautiful and tasty and mini so you can try more than one! The staff is friendly and wonderful. It's a beautiful restaurant and surprisingly never overly busy but we still make reservations every time. Me and my family go here at least once a month. If you like Sunday brunch I highly suggest this place!

We have been going to this restaurant for a long time. It definitely does not have enough exposure. When you go in for dinner it's quiet but it's one of a kind dining experience. Not much restaurants in Edmonton do what they do. We took a friend from Calgary to this restaurant yesterday night and she found it quite amazing. First our server Wallace, he is awesome! Top notch service from him all the time. He brought out some bread and their home made lemon and raspberry butter. They change the flavor of their butter all the time. Raspberry is one of my favs. Then he brought out a spinach ravioli dish that was compliments of the chef. Delicious! They always do that, let you try something the chef created that day. We ordered the Olive oil seared scallops. It comes in three and it was nice and fresh. Wallace brought out their home made sorbet to cleanse our pallet before we start our entree. My favorite part of the meal. It's these little things they do that make the experience. Since my friend has never been to L2 I ordered the L2 feast for two. It comes with two free range Cajun chicken supreme, two AAA High River Alberta Beef tenderloin medallion cooked to your liking, two baked lobster tail, four jumbo tiger prawns and potatoes and seasonal veggies. It's a lot of food but can everything at once. My husband ordered their 16oz Alberta Bone in ribeye with truffle mash potatoes, veggies with sherry jus. For awhile they took the ribeye out of the menu, it's nice to see it back. The ribeye is huge!! All of it was amazing. My friend love the potatoes. We shared a bailey's chocolate cheesecake and a strawberry bombe which is a mousse with strawberry center atop almond sponge cake. To top that off, Wallace brought out their home made chocolates! They have different flavor all the time. So if you don't have room for dessert you can still enjoy a bit of sweetness at the end. I just love this place and would recommend it for dinner AND brunch! All the pastries are made in house for brunch! The selection is huge. Must try!

Wonderful dinning experience! Came here for my anniversary and experienced great service along with many of the staff wishing us a happy anniversary. Service was prompt and we received many delightful samplers before we received our appetizer and entrée. We had ordered the Feast for two and found it an excellent disk to share! It came with lobster tail, steak, and chicken along with vegetables and shrimp. Would highly recommend this place as a romantic get away!

The BEST steak I have ever had. So tender it just melts in your mouth. The sauce just completes it.

The staff were friendly and had no issue replacing my over cooked steak. That tenderloin I'll be remembering fondly for days. Expensive meal but worth every penny.

Pretty setting but Food was Terrible.
Juliet K.

Honestly the decor was wonderful great idea. The waiters were abit slow. And the food was awful. Like terrible. I ordered the 80 dollar meal for two, the steak was disgusting. I was not impressed at all. Never going back again.

With my Player's Club card, I get coupons including a 2 for 1 Buffet one, which makes it $20 for dinner for 2 which is a pretty good value. The breakfast and lunch prices are $10 and $15 respectively. There have theme nights, Tuesday is Mediterranean, Wednesday is Indian, and Thursday is Asian. You pay when you arrive so you can't check our the fare first. They also ask for a tip but we didn't tip at that time as we didn't receive any service yet! We went on a Tuesday and the upper seating area was about half full. They also have seating in lower area accessible by stairs but they closed off that section while we were there. The booths are roomy and comfortable. The buffet itself is small. There are 3 rows with the first having 2 soups, 5 different salads but were on small plates, rolls, and condiments and cutlery. The middle row had the hot foods and that night it included rice, roast potatoes, green beans, other vegetables, beef souvlaki, roast chicken, pita and various dips including hummus, gravy, spanikopita, and a person there to cut you slices of roast lamb. The third row had an ice cream machine and toppings, fresh cantaloupe and honeydew melon, pre made mini cupcakes, a few different squares, baklava, and a peach crumble. They also have self serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and one of those soda machines that you select many different kinds of flavoured pop. The lamb was the star of the show, it was tender and not too gamy tasting. The beef was dry and hard and chicken was cooked well but not very flavourful. Couldn't really go wrong with the green beans, spanikopita, and potatoes. For dessert, the peach dessert was so bad I had to spit it all out as the peaches were so sour as they were the canned type. I went back for a piece of baklava and it was stuck on the plate. I wiggled a piece free and since it was so big, I wasn't able to finish it. It was pretty cold as they probably took it out of the freezer a few hours earlier but still good. The service to start with was awful and based on that, I would have given this 2 stars. There was a woman walking around and taking away plates and acknowledging other tables but not ours. When I did have a dirty plate, she removed it but not the cup. The woman who came by after her was nice and efficient. The first woman was terrible and I don't see her lasting long. The food was just alright and the price good with the 2 for 1 coupon.

The meal we took is the deal for two, which included two spring rolls, two wonton soups and chicken fried rice, plus two other entrees (in this case, we ordered lemon chicken, and the beef and broccoli). Food that is served at Beijing House is very complete: soups and appetizers, chicken, beef, seafood, pork, vegetable and chop suey, rice, noodles, chow mein, and egg foo yong. The restaurant has very nice decoration, which is typically Asian. The place is great for lunch and dinner, and whether you are by yourself, small group or having a party gathering. Their selection is quite limited but they have all the essential items that are fairly fresh. However, I've had bad experiences here. When the staff lowered the grill temperature so it took longer to cook the meat, it didn't feel good, especially given that their time limit is shorter than other places. Moreover, when the staff urged us to eat more rice instead of meat, it just felt bad. Feeling judged while dining and leaving an AYCE on a half empty stomach is ...disappointing...I'd give them 4.5/10

We love kbbq but it's very expensive here in Edmonton, and there are only two in the city. It's located in an inconspicuous (weird if you ask me) spot, in a neighbourhood in front of a school. Parking wasn't that difficult to get. Upon arriving we waited 10 minutes for our reservation and we got seated. The vibe and atmosphere of this place is very family-run-authentic. The meats are served buffet style and you grab your own drinks from the soda fountain. Sides of lettuce, salad (my personal fave- amazing vinaigrette to cut the meat), kimchi, bean sprouts, etc. There were also a few variety of fried items. My favorite was the shrimp chips. They also have fried rice but no white rice. Which leads me to my next point-- Service: AMAZING!! One of the older ladies saw my boyfriend and I mixing our fried rice and kimchi to make kimchi fried rice. She asked if we wanted some sesame oil and seaweed to put into our fried rice to make it more bokkeum-bap!! She came back with a bottle of sesame oil and mixed it in for us. The only downsides: They put a piece of parchment paper over the grill which kind of absorbs all the juice. The selection of meat is very limited as well. For 2 people not including our alcohol, it came to about $75 for AYCE. Not too bad considering it's the only other kbbq place in town. Will definitely be regulars!

Their broth was good too - we tried the satay & tom yum and both were flavourful. They've been open under the same management for 11+ years! Covid has been tough - they closed completely when dine in was shut down and are just starting to rebuild business (I don't think they do take out but I'm not 100%). It was completely dead when we were there, minus one other table - and they still kept filling the food with fresh items. They kind of fall under the radar, maybe because they're not as flashy as other places? But they are yummy with super nice people - if you're considering hotpot, it's worth checking out! A few things to note: it's one of the cheaper AYCE hotpots in the city (I think it was $26 + $2 for broth - other places are $35-40). AYCE only. Who doesn't like roast beef, shrimp and a chocolate fountain? The advertisements in the lobby looked good (see photo) and at $32 a head it's not an unfair price. Unfortunately just like the food at the Lion Head's pub, this Sunday Brunch was a poor experience where nothing was quite right. With one of the largest selections of choices at the buffet this brunch looks great on paper but unfortunately it's just not there for quality. Starting from the top 1. The Carving station is dry and they will not cut you any piece except from the end. When you leave a piece of meat under a heat lamp, it's going to get dry. When I left he was still serving off the same piece of dried meat. People coming in later were still getting the same piece of meat that was served for 2hrs. 2. The Eggs Benedict speaks for itself(look at the photos). Who leaves Eggs Benny's in a warming tray with sauce on? Gross. 3.There were 3 hot mashed mashed potato tureens. THREE! Who needs 3 choices of mashed potatoes. The problem was , none of them were good. Gluey, as you can imagine from having sat there for hours . 4. The Omelette station looks great, and we tried it and noticed immediately these were not fresh eggs. I asked the cook and she said, they use liquid egg unless you specifically ask for fresh egg. The biggest problem with the ATRIUM is that it survives off of the teams and hotel guests that stay there. It doesn't really have to try hard to do ok. If you live in the city skip this over priced version of a Buffet Royale. I'm giving it 2.5 stars. Why did it get 2 stars? Nothing stood out, not one piece of food Why did it not get 1 stars? Great Service Lots of Free parking around.
