This is a long standing establishment. Great selection of marinated meats to grill with home made spring rolls and tempura. Owners are very welcoming.

My favourite K-BBQ place in the city! This offset family run joint never disappoints. The service is always great and delivered with a smile. The selection of meats is great. I especially like the short ribs and lamb. The homemade prawn chips are super tasty as well. They also have a selection of Korean beer to try as well. The best part about this place is that it is self serve buffet style. You can take however much of whatever you like! Don't miss out on the kimchi... it's delish. If you have any room left there's also ice cream. This place won't disappoint. The price point is also very good value for what you get.

Since takeout isn't really an option…read morewith hot pot, I hadn't been here in more than 2 years thanks to the pandemic but last night I came back for the first time and it was like seeing an old friend. In terms of covid-19, they have done their best to add dividers and spacing between the tables but most importantly, they made some major upgrades to their ventilation system. In the past, the humidity of the soups left a permanent haze in the air but no more! Every table now has a vent above it. Chili Hot Pot is super vegetarian-friendly. Just make sure you request your soup be made with "clear water" rather than broth. My go-to if I'm craving some spice is the satay but if I want something more mild, the Chinese herbs soup is a great option too. Hot pot is kind of a choose your own adventure meal so vegetarians are able to eat all the veggies, noodles, and fried dough as you can handle. It is all you can eat so I recommend ordering a little of everything in your first round and then ordering extras of your faves afterward. Definitely order the deep-fried plain buns. Trust me! They are delicious mini sweet buns served with condensed milk for dipping. I have to stop myself from eating too many of them.

This was recommended to us by a staff member at the oxygen deprivation tank, so we thought we would try it. We did the all you can eat, if my memory serves me correctly it was around $35 per person. I've never had hot pot before so I'm not sure if that's average price, or if it's on the higher or lower end. The food was good, I had the Szechuan broth (VERY SPICY) like painfully spicy when you get a peppercorn stuck in your tooth it almost felt numbing hahah so strange. I thought it was cool a robot served us food, we ate around 3pm and it wasn't busy at all, grateful we got to have this experience

However, I didn't realize this location is in a seedy area of Edmonton until I saw questionable peeps loitering near the parking lot next to Travelodge. My cousin texted, "Where are you? We're here." I texted, "We are inside the restaurant." I didn't realize there's two different entrances. That's where gps led us. Best to park in the lot on the opposite side. Our Server was very helpful and offered to bring a separate menu in case we wanted an ala carte item. We're given water refills. Help yourself to various food stations. My faves were dim sum items and Deep Fried Steamed Buns w/ Condensed Milk. There were eight different ice cream flavors. Tiger tail and green tea ice cream were tasty, yet a little too soft. I loved the aesthetics of tea pot which worked in favor of keeping tea hot thanks to a mini candle. Also loved the tea which helped to cleanse my palate in between savory versus sweet. The food and dessert set up for Yang Ming Buffet in Alberta reminds me of the Mandarin Buffet in Ontario.

These are are a great option if you don't want to take from the buffet. But I would like to add that the buffet is very complete, always fresh and full. The meal we took is the deal for two, which included two spring rolls, two wonton soups and chicken fried rice, plus two other entrees (in this case, we ordered lemon chicken, and the beef and broccoli). Food that is served at Beijing House is very complete: soups and appetizers, chicken, beef, seafood, pork, vegetable and chop suey, rice, noodles, chow mein, and egg foo yong. The restaurant has very nice decoration, which is typically Asian. The place is great for lunch and dinner, and whether you are by yourself, small group or having a party gathering. Finally, Beijing House is a great place to dine, where good food is served and quick professional service.

Ok I want to say that I did not request this place off hand, my partner's friends did. I read the…read morereviews before hand and had a feeling of what to expect. First off parking, because it is a Sunday and the place is not busy you can park anywhere but if you did not know then you would be confused with the signs saying "hotel guests only, register your vehicle in front desk". I drove around looking for the restaurant parking but there is none. We walked in and yes it is a beautiful atrium (thus the name (the atrium restaurant). I asked for a table of 7 and the host asked if we had reservations, I said no because I did not know we needed one (the place was pretty much empty...?). He sat us down at the very edge of the place where I would call "no man's land". To me I thought we looked pretty ok for a brunch buffet at a hotel (Sundays best clothing, no jeans..). Maybe it's because we looked young which would be a very nice compliment. While waiting for the rest of our party we ordered a bottle of red wine and coffee. Our server was okay, she had our drink orders fast and correct but forgot about us during our meal. Our plates started to pile up and we only had about a couple of plates each through out the meal. Ok first I went to the salad bar and was turned off by how the wilted leaves look. The tomato salad looked very very old so I wouldn't even touch the pasta salad. The fish looked unwell. .. I went to the cooked side and had the veggies, cabbage rolls and bass fish. Then at the corner of my eye I saw coleslaw so I nab that fast (I need some raw veggies). I sat and started on the cabbage roll. Hmm mm. ... It tastes like nothing with dull warm tomato sauce. The basa fish was over cooked and tasted like nothing as well. I think they may have tried to season it because they had seasoning and pieces of mandarins on top but still I found no pronounce taste. Coleslaw was ok, it tastes like coleslaw but not overly mayo ed up. I needed to feel like this place has to have something I like so I went back (not like my partner who only had bacon and a bit of hashbrowns). I saw the seafood with crab legs, mussels, clams, and shrimp so I tried one of everything. I saw they had an omelette station and an eggs benedict so I definitely had one of those for sure. Went back to try it all and was strangely disappointed, I wanted to like something but the seafood tasted old and seemed like it was defrosted yesterday except for the shrimp that was still half frozen. The eggs benedict was hard and over cooked and the hollandaise sauce was just not good. I went back for dessert and tried the apple pie in a cup, a velvet cup cake, and a caramel tart bar. I took a bite of everything and no just no. I don't understand why I just did not like anything. I'm so sorry but I had Sunday brunch before at another place and I was so happy at the freshness of the food and this place was just not there. I read the reviews and I guess it may be a hit or miss place but I tried it and I'm not coming back. For the price you pay you can have a good meal else where. I'm giving 3 stars because I felt the server was nice and she tried to accommodate us as best she could. She came when our beverages where empty and filled our coffee. I'm sorry I am not coming back because the only part of my meal I enjoyed was the wine and the coleslaw. That you can get anywhere else and would probably be better (and not over priced). Just my honest opinion.

Odd atmosphere. Most of the buffet dinner was good or very good. Couple of things were bad…read more Service is decent.

We showed up at 8 pm on a weekday and the restaurant was still very busy. It is a good sign that this restaurant is popular. We were seated right away and our 2 hour time limit started. We placed an order of soup based and meat options before heading out to the sauce bar and checking out other items at the buffet. The food selection was quite impressive from the meat balls, cooked food, innards, veggies, seafood, noodles to desserts. It was hard to decide what to eat. The sauce bar was also quite extensive there are endless combinations. Service was surprisingly decent for an Asian restaurant. Staff stopped by regular to clear dirty plates and refill soup broth. They even dropped off extra plates of beef slices and wontons when we asked. Overall, I thought the price was reasonable for the food selection and the service exceeded my expectations for a buffet setting. Parking was alright. I would return to this restaurant on my next visit in town.

We arrived a little before 11:30 a.m. for lunch and waited for the restaurant to open. I was surprised by how many people showed up shortly after it opened. It seems like this place has a lot of loyal customers! The restaurant was much bigger than I expected. My sister told me they usually offer all-you-can-eat hot pot, but we came for their lunch combos instead. We each ordered a hot pot combo, which included a choice of broth, four selections, and one type of noodle. We picked different items so we could try a little bit of everything. The meat was tasty, and the portions were generous for the price. The sauce station also had a great variety of sauces, which made the meal even better. Next time I'm here, I'd love to try their all-you-can-eat hot pot! Hot pot is honestly my idea of the perfect meal, especially in this cold weather.
