    The best Green Pepper Steak!

I grew up coming to this place and happy to see that even after 15 years their quality of food is still incredible! Great spot in near the colosseum area. In my teens I used to always come here for their pastas. 15 years later, I didn't try the pasta but went with their fried calamari for appetizer and green pepper steak for my entree. Both were delicious, especially the green pepper steak! Best I've ever had, and I've had many good steaks in my lifetime but this tops it all! Highly recommend stopping by this place if if you are in the area. Even if you're not, it's definitely worth checking out!

A very big and welcoming glass of beer on the last day.

We were just here last week on our last day of an Italian and European vacation. We ended up here because the place, literally next door, seated my wife and I and then totally ignored us. They left us sitting outside at a table for over fifteen minutes and just forgot about us apparently. I looked over at this place and suggested we just move over ten feet and maybe we will get some service. It was great. Food, drinks and service was excellent, and it saved a "sour" experience on our last day. It was very, very good. I highly recommend this place for a great and enjoyable and affordable meal.

My money was stole from my backpack, just in 15 mins after I paid the bill in this restaurant. The thief picked the exact 1 zip bag out of 3 similar bags in the same compartment of my backpack, which can not be done without a messenger. The restaurant manager was the only person who saw my zip bag with cash in the whole day. Except this place, I only used cash in my pocket. Take your own risk of money losing if you try to enter this place.

Tuna Salad is very good; after so much pasta and so many pastries a salad is very welcome.

For a period of time, when my sons were teens, it was impossible to mention an ethnicity - any ethnicity - in any context, without one of them responding "racist". As such, the irony didn't escape me when my now 23-year old son remarked, after lunch at L'Insalata Ricca, "let's eat the rest of our meals at 'Italian' places". He may have been referring to the fact that we'd lunched on salads, untraditional Italian fare, or he may have been referring to the fact that the staff here doesn't appear or sound traditionally Italian; they're Italian by way of another country. Whatever he was referring to I couldn't resist my response, "racist". His intent - I'll assume he meant the former - mattered little though, as a good salad is good regardless of who serves it or where it's served. My airbnb host had put the chain cafe, L'Insalata Ricca, on his list of recommendations noting "good salads" beside it. He did not lie. Their salads are well composed, tasty, plentiful, reasonably priced, and satisfying. As a Cali girl existing on traditional Italian fare for 2+ weeks by this point, a menu featuring this many salads was like manna from heaven. L'Insalata Ricca is a good choice for a good salad. It might not fit your definition of "Italian Restaurant" and there may be a bit of upsell by your waiter, but ignore those things and you'll be rewarded with a most satisfying lunch. If I had all the time in the world to eat at "Italian" restaurants I imagine I'd lunch here quite frequently.

We stopped here to have lunch after the visiting someplace or another in Rome, I know we were on our way to a fabric store when we stumbled upon this place. I had seen in many other restaurants before "tourist menus" but I've never tried it. We did so here. It was about $15€ or so, and it consisted in a pasta, salad or pizza dish, a meat item. Wine or soft drink and coffee. I had a salad, pasta, a bruschetta bread, coffee and wine. I didn't get the meat entrée because I had quit ordering meat a couple of days prior so they allowed me to get both a salad and pasta. The pasta was so good! I live their sauce. I thought I would only have a bite, but I ate it all. Everythings was great. We sat outside, and although there isn't a great view, other than a busy street, it still felt pretty nice just to be out there. enjoying the breeze. Service was also very cool I was impressed by our waiter I overheard him speaking at least three other languages to guests which was impressive. Overall a good place to stop for lunch.

The place had a very good vibe and easy accessible to grab a bite to eat. Turn off was it took a while to get food and lots of beggars and performance people keeps coming up to you asking for money. I just want to eat and the wait for the food did not help.

So glad for a break from all of the Italian staples! We stopped in for lunch today and all wanted salad. Good thing this place has a list of 35 or so salads for you to pick from! The list was so extensive and had separate sections for salad with meat, without meat, and with fish! We also ordered some bread and they put rosemary on it, so it was really nice! The salads were quite large and they were so filling! The ingredients were fresh and plentiful and varied, perfect! Docked a star for awkward service (waiters stood by our table and watched us eat basically)

We came here for dinner tonight. The food was very good. The prices were reasonable. The service was good. We ordered the pre-fixed menu. I would return to this restaurant.

Yes!!! Loved this place. We had COLD beer, salads and focaccia. The food was delicious and fresh. They have misters outside to cool you off but we sat inside in the lovely AC. Servers were friendly and helpful. And, eating a lovely salad was perfect for the hot summer day. We did see other plated food and everything looked delicious. I recommend this place!!!!

After days in Italy....can't even think about having Pizza or pasta. This place hit the spot! Amazingly fresh salads. Decent soup--they call it minestrone. It's not what Americans call minestrone. More like vegetable soup. Yummy salads.

Okay. Meh food. Fair price. Missed our bread and water and the food could use a little more flavor. Our airplane food tasted better.

We both believe the film "National Treasure" is a prophecy but all of the clues actually reside in the Vatican. Do you believe that too? After collecting sufficient evidence and finding the next clue for the location of the artifact, we were hungry! What better place to eat than 433? We arrived around 9 and the outside patio was packed. An amplified violin player wandered the tables. We didn't mind sitting inside, so we were seated immediately. Less immediate was actually getting service, which took around 15 minutes. Which is fine! Lest we be the Americans in a Rush. As we waited, our eyes scanned the restaurant for additional clues to the whereabouts of historic artifacts. Sally scanned the walls in a trance. Among the art, she appreciates "...the naked butt and Walter White and the queer table. From far away, it looks like the logo says 'a**'." Our waiter takes our order and returns with our drinks, lickety split. Sally remarks on her Prosecco, "tastes like 'a**'. I can't say I know what that tastes like, but I can 'a**'-ume. The bubbles are full of 'a**'." I ordered the Negroni. It was standard fare. The only unique element was that it came with a lot of ice. I enjoyed it! The food comes out equally quick. We begin with the Caesar salad. Sally munches and crunches and says, "Dare I say the best I've ever had..? A lady finger crouton tastes like a lady. The finger! In circle form..." The dressing on the salad is a delight, light and flavorful. Next up is the beef fillet. Sally chews and says, "Blood in my mouth... So good, so blood... Feels like I'm eating red 'a**'." I agree! Finally, we have the Tonnarelli Con Pomodorini, Basilico E Scaglie Di Parmigiano. Sally notes, "Very thick hot noodles... Tastes fresh like the pope on a Tuesday - red-hot like pizza supper! The noodles are thicc but it matches the theme of the restaurant. Feels like I'm eating 'a**'!" We round out our meal by enjoying a glass of the house red. "Tastes like swirly 'a**'. I thought it was blood from the steak... TURNS OUT, It was from a grape. And you know what kind of grape? The 'a**' grape..... Grape from an 'a**'..... Which is? A grape." We were stuffed to the gills with delicious food and drink. Our bloodhound-like noses were re-energized for clues and now we have a fresh scent for 'a**.' Who knows where that scent will lead us! Thank you, 433333!

We were told we could sit outside. Another person in our party asked for inside seating but we were told outside only. No biggie. Our server was ok. He seemed to be irritated in general. He presented the chalkboard and went over the specials but we had already chosen our entrees from the standard menu. Two of the ladies wanted to split an appetizer but the waiter kept insisting that it was intended for one person and that ordering just one wouldn't be enough to share. They went ahead with the single order and it was plentiful. Water was 3 euro per vase and the spritz was 15 euro. For entrees we got two orders of the Linguine and two orders of the spaghetti. Prior to the food coming out they brought out a complimentary bread basket. It had 5 slices of bread and then some smaller round breadsticks. The pastas came out shortly after. Presentation was beautiful but the actual pasta dish (I had the lemon linguine) wasn't my favorite. The dish was cold and the noodles were overly hard. It was creamy but had hardly any lemon flavor. The table next to us, a larger group ordered several orders of the lemon linguine and the chef himself came out to greet them and then plated the pasta outside for everyone to see. They were a group of 6 vs our 4. He spoke to them and the table next to us but never acknowledged us. It felt kind of weird. At the end of our meal we asked for to go boxes and the check. We asked to pay separately and the server was visibly upset at our request. We ended out working the payment out amongst ourselves (Venmo-ing each other and such) to lesson the burden. Overall it was ok but not the 5 star, best meal in Italy experience other reviewers tend to mention.
