Went by there to get some color on my skin. I'm from the South but have spent most of this year up north, first Michigan and now here. I promise you I asked about 100 questions and not once did she get annoyed, she was extremely informative and answered them all happily! Hi, I barely write reviews but I came in to get a tan and I told the lady at the front (she has blonde hair blue eyes). I'm not sure of her name. I told her that I haven't tanned in a very long time, but I wanted a good tan because I do tan easily, she told me about level six, but they had new lightbulbs in there so if it starts to burn to stop the machine. She also charged me $54 for the one tanning session when she told me it was 36$ she also gave me a tanning lotion that I wasn't supposed to put on my face. I try to stop the machine because it actually started burning my face and body a lot making me feel dizzy. This is when I went to the front to let her know that and she proceeds to tell me I wasn't supposed to put the lotion on my face?!? ummm did u forget to mention that??? When she picked the lotion recommendation out for me!!!! All I asked for was another tan in a lower intensity bed since i paid for it and she told me no and there's nothing she could do for me. She proceeds to get on the phone with her manager and helps three customers in front of me just to tell me "again" that there's nothing she can do. I will be reaching out to corporate as well. By far the worst LA Tan in the area. The manager will lie to you regarding policies. The beds are disgusting it's like they don't even clean them or they just spray a little bit of stuff on them and smear the previous person's lotion and skin all over the bed. I drive 30-45 minutes out of the way to go to a different location. Figured I would give this one a try.. will not be back that's for sure! read more

Suggestion: I get it.. A prospective customer asking a zillion questions about pkgs & then the wife asking a zillion more... You want the sale; but please take a nano-second maybe say " excuse me do you mind if I take a moment & check in one of our valued members" And please check in your already loyal member/customer into tan... I could have tanned 5 tans while waiting for the indecisive couple to make their choice. Finally had to give up & leave - no fake sun today ( just say n) NOW SEVERAL DAYS LATER I VISIT THE SALON AGAIN .... thankful that the Manager on site saw the rating and I spoke with & she gets it & had a talk with her team that current customers are just as important ~ THANK YOU ! Stay away from level 3 lay down. On Tuesdays this bed is apparently very busy because of the special prices so the Acrylic very HOT. I had to switch to a stand up for the rest of my 12 minutes. This is the second time I came on a Tuesday and the bed was very uncomfortable. I bought a package for 10 tans so I will try to go to another LA tan location or try another day since the bed I paid to use not comfortable at all. read more

She was the only employee that advised me that I had rewards on my account and let me know how they could be used! I have a membership at this LA Tan location and I think the staff is completely disrespectful. All I ever receive from the staff is attitude. My eyewear snapped when I was taking it out of the case and asked if I could possibly replace them with a new pair. The first lady I asked completely and utterly ignored me, The second lady told me it wouldn't be a problem but treated me as if I were a child and purposely broke them to get a new pair. The prices are affordable and I'm getting great results at this tanning salon but the staffs attitude with me is making me question whether ending my membership or not. read more

When will people learn when you turn down a package the first time, and the second and third , you may not be interested? I usually come here with a Groupon so I am set to pay for that which gives me a bunch of tans. They are like the Energizer Bunny, they keep going and going and going. I don't want to be rude because it's their job and all but it makes you not even want to go there. You have to emotionally prepare yourself for a five minute sales pitch, followed by a lesson in how tanning lotion is the only way you can get dark. FYI, as long as you moisturize at home before you'll be good. Accelerator is really not great for your skin, btw. Sorry , I went of on a small tangent...So the beds are pretty good, and it's always clean. But I recently went to another place that has better deals and doesn't try to break your life savings, I think that's why they do so well. Have fun in the sun!!! read more

Place doesn't close until 9 I came in at 850 for a spray tan which takes maybe 5-8 min. And they would not let me spray tan because she "already cleaned it " . Why be open until 9 if you don't let anyone use anything past 8:30 as the girl told me . Terrible customer service , prob bc she wanted to go home . read more

My visit with this location was just a disaster. When I walked in the girl with the tattoo and blonde hair was walking up from the back smelling like marijuana. She said " last name?" She had no manners at all and doesn't seem qualified for the job. She has zero personal skills and doesn't seem to like her job. She sounded very blank and her eyes looked very red. She had no interest in helping me and when I was dressing myself she rudely walked in on me without knocking or anything. I was so embarrassed and felt like I didn't matter as a customer. As I left she didn't apologize or say anything to me. Worst experience I've ever had. I would rather take my business to Australian Tan in Shorewood, I will never go back to any La tan. read more

I have been a member with LA TAN for 5+ years. Out of all the locations I have continually used or stopped at, this one by far is the worst. The first time I went, two middle aged women were eating salads and completely ignoring me standing right in front of them waiting to tan. I also, paid cash to them to avoid my credit card being billed for my monthly dues and they screwed that up as well. Imagine my face when I go to a different LA TAN about a week later and am informed that my billing information declined? 1. No kidding, thats why i paid cash... I closed the account and didnt have new debit to update to as of late. 2. I paid cash, so why is my card being charged again? Seems as though the women cared more about their conversation than taking care of the customer. Figured I'd give the salon a second chance so I went up there with my sister a month following. Young girl working this time, and again paid LITTLE attention to either of us bc she had two young guys sitting on the counters talking to her. Between the service and the beds - there will not be a third time at this location. read more

GREAT PLACE! So usually I go to Australian on River and Route 52 but one of my good friends said she went to LA and I had never been so today I decided to try it. The salon is clean, aesthetically pleasing and the workers were very pleasant! The sunless spray booths are the Versa Spa Pro's, which I am assuming is the newer and most definitely more efficient models. Instead of continuous spray then dry passes, there is a dry pass after each spray. The Pro also offers a few more colors darker than the regular. Also, the woman helping me made me aware of the pre and post sprays which Australian never told me about. I got a spray for $12 as it was my first spray, plus they always have good deals through the website, emails and texts. In regards to the post earlier about the speckled wrists, that is fairly common with spray. It will never be 100% even. I gave a 4 just because this is my first time being there and I want to know if the service is consistent. read more

I really liked LA Tan when I went with a free tan offer. I ended up trying their red light beds and buying a tanning package. I watched a video on their site about their tanning booths. It was different than other booths I have previously used so I asked the girl that was working to show me how to use it so I wouldn't mess it up. I tanned last night and was happy the solution wasn't as strong smelling as some others. HOWEVER this morning I realized that I have one very darkly tanned leg/foot and one that is not tanned at all. This wouldn't be as bad if I could wear pants and at least have my feet match. I called and told them I had one untanned leg and asked if they could spray just my leg. They are unable to do that. Their only suggestion was to come in and buy some of their sunless products to use on the one leg. Mind you with all the products I have purchased in the past two weeks I have already spent over $80. Now the machine sprays me funny and the solution is to spend more of my $ to fix it? How about spraying me again in the booth and having me put barrier cream on the tanned leg? This has really soured me a but because every time I go in some product is being suggested bc its "on sale" (they are all always on sale to give you a sense of urgency to purchase). read more
