I'll leave an update as the service goes, but Ace has been very helpful, hasn't been pushy with unnecessary services, kept me updated over the weekend on my car, and they took my car in same day I called about an issue I couldn't figure out and had to get towed. So far, I think I found my go to mechanic and who I'll be recommending all my friends, and family to! read more

I came by on a Friday around 11am and their garage doors were closed. I did see the auto shop next door was opened though. I hope it wasn't the same business as giving them 3 stars will make me feel foolish. The garage didn't have any name on it, although I thought it belonged to the auto broker next door. I did call the number listed and it rang once and the voicemail picked up. read more

Best mechanic in town. Honest and never had an issue with any repairs. Fair and respectable. Have been bringing Ace my cars for 20+ years. Will never go anywhere else. Thanks for the years of service and friendship. Back for more service today (7/22/2020). So happy that Ace and his operation has made it through these difficult times. Re-stating the obvious, one of the best and most honest professionals in the industry. Very rarely do you go pick up your car and he tells you you didn't need the services you requested, he didn't want to sell me something I didn't need. You don't hear that very often in the auto industry. Ace, continued success my friend. Thank you for your years of honest work. read more

LA Auto Care are amazing! They're honest, affordable, and do quality work. They're even often flexible at fitting in repairs with short notice. Also, after seeing problematic reviews for other mechanics on this issue: it was great to see that they had good safety precautions in place and wore masks when working inside the cars or dealing with customers. Highly recommended! read more

We brought a car here for repairs that had a complicated problem, made worse by some idiot trying to fix it himself. Ace was able to figure it out and get it working great. This seems like a very difficult business. You have to know a lot about all types of vehicles with a variety of problems and repair solutions. This is an outstanding repair shop. read more

my highlander was giving a weird squeaky noise for last couple of weeks . I had taken my car to 3 different mechanics and none of them were able to find the root cause. After that, I posted my problem in the local facebook group and there someone recommended Ace , i took my car and in less than a minute he was able to figure out that noise was coming because of the loose spare tire.He tightened it and sound went away. I now know where to go if some car problem comes up in future read more

LA Auto Care and the owner Ace truly truly deserve the 5 stars. If it could go to 6 stars, I'd rate him there too. Truly a completely honest and reliable mechanic and all and all great person. Every time I need repairs, which has been often lately on the 224, 000 mile Toyota Tacoma, I expect that what needs to be done is going to cost an arm and a leg. Then Ace calls with the estimate and the price is always less than you would expect. From the seat belts to the door locks and everything in between, Ace and his mechanics have fixed it. The reason all of my original parts have made it so far I'm is from going to LA Auto Care for regular maintenance all these years! Everyone at the shop fully expects the truck to keep on going to 325,000 miles! Today's auto repair requires quite the intelligent mechanic that can follow the logical path to getting your vehicle fixed, and sometimes it takes more than one visit to get things completely ironed out, and that's why Ace is the perfect mechanic, he fixes your car or truck in a logical order that makes sense. Repairs are almost always faster than you would expect and there's a pretty comfy couch in the waiting room. Trust me when you read this review and you won't be disappointed. I personally guarantee that you'll be glad you made the choice to go to LA Auto Care. read more

Highly recommended! Called ahead of time and asked if I could come right in with an unexpected "Service Engine Soon" that had just appeared, spoke with Ace who assured me that they will check it out. Repair turn around was almost immediate, he fixed the issue and the service engine light was away but he also addressed an issue that I've noticed in my car for years (slight vibration), that has never been addressed or blown off by many auto repair services. That is a sign of someone who is not only great at what they do but also provide the service that people need these days. Awesome job LA Auto Care, I look forward to doing any future business with you guys! read more

Ace has taken care of me for years. There's no one better to trust with your vehicle!

Wow! amazing job... I have taken all of my vehicles (4) here for the past 20 years. ACE is honest and tells it like it is. he has also serviced several from my neighborhood as well. I highly recommend him. I rarely have to wait long, gives me a fair estimate on time, how long it will or may take and I find the price to be quite reasonable as well. I believe you cannot go wrong here. read more

IF I CAN GIVE THIS PLACE A NEGATIVE 5 STARS... I WOULD! I just got back from LA Auto Care and I just had to write this review, these guys lost my business right off the bat, I walk into LA Auto Care and I noticed a sign that said Ace would be back in 30min so I decided to wait in the Lobby, I was there for about 10min and one of Ace's employees walks in and the first words out of his mouth is "Ace is not here, your going to have to come back" (wtf) I didn't like the way he said it with his tone of voice and the body language and then this employee sits his ass on the couch and starts to eat sunflower seeds (WTF!) heres what I expected to happen... and how it should have played out: sorry sir but Ace is not here right now, HOW CAN I HELP YOU TODAY. would I recommend this place to my friends... HELL NO! with their work ethics and attitude like that no way! read more

Ace and his crew are as good as they get. We have been using Ace for over 15 years and I wouldn't use anyone else. He is honest, accommodating, professional and most importantly good at what he does. After a month and a half of weekly visits to my old mechanic who was unable to help me resolve my car issues, I finally decided to take my car elsewhere. I then had my car looked at by a second mechanic who claimed they could not hear the noises that I described and that my car was "most likely fine"... After reading some very positive reviews online about LA Auto Care, I set up an appointment to bring my car in to Ace and his team. Ace kindly agreed to go on a drive around the block together, so I could point out exactly which sounds seemed concerning. He too was able to hear the unusual sounds. Within less than an hour Ace contacted me and informed me that my car's serpentine belt was way over worn and desperately needed to be replaced. He was able to order and replace the part very quickly and by the end of the day I had my car back and the sound was gone! I am so grateful and will definitely be coming back here in the future. read more

I've been going to LA Auto Care since I first moved to Los Angeles as I used to teach at Pierce College and found it when I was having an emergency one day. Ace is AWESOME! I'm no longer anywhere near the area but I make the trek because I know he'll always get me in and he's so honest and friendly and inexpensive compared to what they're charging in the heart of LA and he knows and checks everything. Thank goodness I found him here. :) read more

My car wouldn't start because I had left a light on over the weekend. I got it jumped, but I don't know much about cars, so I wanted someone to check the battery level. Toyota (I drive a Corolla) was going to charge me $45 just to check it, so I looked on Yelp and found LA Auto Care was super close to my house. Ace was so professional and nice! It was very reassuring to hear that my battery was OK so I don't have to worry anymore. My car needs some other stuff done as well, so as soon as I have time I'll be taking it back there. read more

I am a do-it-yourselfer, but sometimes I have to go to a shop. We were referred to Ace (the owner) around 2000, when he was still at a smaller location, and have been coming back ever since. He keeps modern equipment on site to handle the modern cars electronics boxes as well as complete engine swaps or simple oil changes. He earned our trust. Aside from being a good guy, I was impressed with his knowledge. As an example, we had a car that was bought new in Canada, and Ace was the only guy that knew the ins and outs of the Smog Check system to handle it. Two other shops just turned us away, and we were about ready to junk the car because we could not get it smogged. Ace saved us a lot of money that day, because we kept the car for 5 more years before selling it. In short, LA Auto Care is both an old-school honest shop and a modern electronics and regulations savvy facility. read more

I have found my LA Mechanic! Spoke with Ace about a few issues the dealership told me about that needed to be fixed ASAP and asked him to take a look at my car for a second opinion. This establishment saved me money and a major headache down the road. Ace and his team were honest and were clear of what needed to be done. Car was fixed and maintenance within hours. Big thank you to the whole team and Ace for helping a girl out! read more
