Katsu Combo
Rachel A.

This is our favorite place in HMart to grab a bite to eat before shopping. It used to be the corn dog place, but then we came in and saw it was closed. Feeling super disappointed and hungry and decided to give this place a try. I'm glad we did, it was very tasty! Me and my husband share the combo plate with an extra rice. It's big enough to fill us both up. It comes with rice, soup, curry sauce, chicken & pork katsu, an ungodly amount of shredded cabbage w/ a side of dressing and katsu sauce. The katsu is always hot and crispy. Definitely something we look forward to when we make our HMart trips.

Tonkatsu was bland. Not the best. Could use more seasoning or something but I'm not a cook. Food comes out fast though.

Well as we were feeling hungry we decided to come to KZ Mori and once again there is plenty of seating inside shares with all the other restaurants inside this food Court . It is located inside H-Mart Grocery Store on Balboa Ave. . For Parking it shares a Lot with 24 Hours Fitness . So we walk in and look at menu and we decided on ordering here . As you can see in my pictures the food is delicious here . First they give you a buzzer and you wait for the buzzer to go off and you grab your order . We did not have to wait long but as for Service it was ok but food is on Point . I highly recommend this Place . I can see myself coming back for More !!!

Perfectly crispy katsu and humongous serving size!! Well priced and loved the miso soup and cabbage salad paired with!

A great portion of food for around $20, this lasted me for two meals. The fry of the katsus were great as well - the meat inside didn't get dry. The curry was your typical curry though

Stopped by for dinner. Had the simple udon which was $12.99 but had a lot of toppings. The broth wasn't as good but the noodles were good and light. Had fish balls, tofu skin, and imitation crab - lots of toppings for $12.99 which you cannot find elsewhere. Cashier lady was friendly. Not much you can say about service since you just order and pick up. Perhaps next time I'll get their curry udon. This is a good place with good value in price.

Fish Katsu

Generous portions for a food court vendor! There is complimentary yellow radish which you can grab yourself to enhance your meal. I wasn't too much of a fan of their katsu sauce, it was quite watery and dark in color. If they could revamp this sauce, I think it would make their katsu stand out more. We tried their pork and fish katsu; I surprisingly liked the fried fish more as it was flaky and soft! Not sure what kind of fish they used, I'm going to assume tilapia, but I would recommend this version of katsu. The fish katsu only comes in a combo, so you get soup and a side salad as well, which was nice to eat in between bites, but nothing special. As for service, the food came out quick and fresh! KZ Mori is a decent and filling quick eats spot I'd preferably go for in the H-Mart food court.

When I went to buy groceries at H Mart Balboa, I was hungry, so I tried the combo pork katsu with udon and extra rice! It was so heavy and good. That's why I prefer getting it to go, I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it. I didn't even finish my plate, but it was worth it! It's a good place to sit and eat, and the server was nice and approachable. To be honest, I wish they would use less seasoning for the udon, it was too salty. But the katsu and salad were delicious!

Huge portions. Good customer service. Love the fast service. Miso soup was like warm. But my chicken curry was good. 8 out of 10.

Literally my favorite place for lunch!! So affordable and huge portions! I always get the chicken katsu, the sesame dressing for the cabbage is so good. Pictures don't do it justice, 10/10!

This place has really good chicken and pork katsu. Really surprised with taste and quality. For ten dollar they give you full on size chicken and pork katsu. Will come back for more. This place is located inside of hmart and service is so quick and people there were nice.

I love how quick and easy the service is. Also, it's so much food for a good price. I can normally split my meal into 2!

It's nice that it comes with a sauce too for more flavor! the added texture from the tempura shrimp filling was really tasty! Also got the bulgogi kimbap and that one was good too but not as tasty as the keto kimbap in my opinion. Sikhye slushie was also just ok, it was too sweet in my opinion and didn't have enough of the classic rice taste that sikhye usually has. Service was fast, they're located in the H mart food court and you get a buzzer after you order so you can look around while you wait! We went on a Sunday and didn't have to wait long at all. Ambiance is typical for a food court. Several businesses around a seating area with lots of tables and chairs, it was super easy to find seating even on a weekend since it seems like lots of people get their food to go!

I think it was lacking in meat, although that may have been partly due to the relatively small size of the stone bowl. I hate to say it but I was still hungry. Keep in mind that the dish stays extremely hot, so it will take some time until you can comfortably enjoy it. In the meantime, grab a Sapporo and enjoy the wait! Overall, it's a great spot to meet up, have a drink, and enjoy a good conversation. Just be prepared with the conversation to last while you wait on the stone bowl to cool down!

I thought the menus posted in the middle instead of having physical menus were pretty cool. My friends all ordered the bulgogi boiled stew while I ordered the bulgogi fried rice. Our waiter dropped off our side dishes at our table and I was a little surprised at how small the portions were because they were at least quarter-sized. It definitely wasn't enough for me and my other friend sitting across from me to share. I think we waited 10 minutes for our food after we placed our orders and it eventually arrived to us. I was surprised again, simply due to the fact that my plate of bulgogi fried rice was bigger than all of my friends' boiled tofus combined. My friends and I enjoyed the food, though I noticed they didn't have as much bulgogi in their stews compared to my plate. I could see how people would feel disappointed when the meat advertised in the stew is hardly there. My friends let me try some of their tofu and it was just okay to me because I felt there was a little too much salt. Overall, I can see why people would like this place; it's good for a quick lunch especially if you're craving tofu. But there's considerable drawbacks: small portion sizes that could make customers question where it's worth paying the price and poor ventilation that doesn't filter out the smoke from hot stone dishes from nearby tables.

I ordered the Beef Slices (the classic soup with added beef) with half potato noodles and knife cut noodles. The soup was well-rounded and loaded with mushrooms, quail eggs, seaweed, and tofu skin. It felt hearty without being heavy. The noodle combo includes a drink, which was a nice touch. For under $20, the portion was good and served hot in a clay pot. I'm a bit indecisive so I went with the three fresh flavors on the server's recommendation, but I got flavor fatigue by the end. The knife-cut noodles also didn't stand out compared to the potato noodles, which are clearly the star here. The stall is located in a food court with shared seating, but the staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, a solid option if you're craving comforting, filling noodles. Everyone should give it a try but I probably wouldn't would come back just on my own.

It replaced a Northwest Chinese cuisine business that decided to focus its attention to their brick-and-mortar address in the Convoy District. The featured menu items here were noodles, either potato or traditional Chinese. The bowls could be ordered as classic, beef, or seafood. The broth choices were two types of spiciness, tomato, or a fresh flavor. Special fried skewers and fried items rounded out the offerings. All of the skewers cost $2 apiece so I ordered two of the eight varieties. These were the Bean Curd with Enoki Mushrooms and the Tofu Skin Roll with Coriander. They were served as four pieces each on a skewer and had the shape of a small rolled taco. As fried tofu wrapped packages, I found them to be tasty and a good deal. For an entree, I picked the Beef Slices with half potato noodles and half traditional noodles served in a clay pot vessel. The tomato flavor was what I selected for a broth that had no spiciness. Two hard boiled quail eggs were added on top. The noodles were decent, however they didn't stand out for their quality. Several pieces of thinly sliced beef belly were included. I was less impressed with this product than the skewers, therefore I gave an overall three star rating.
