Came here wanting to try the staples and I'm glad I did! The ordering process was great, there wasn't anyone in line and the server took our order so quickly! There were lots of sides offered off to the side of the register which was nice and there wa plenty of seating inside to food court. I ordered the Jajjangyum + Tangsuyuk. The Jajjangyum was one of the best i have ever had honestly, the sauce was perfectly think with pieces of onion, pork snd potatoes inside and the noodles were perfectly thick and bouncy. The Tangsuyuk was fried nicely? Not too hard and very delicate breading that was nice. The radish that came with the meal was such a nice touch as well. Over all such a good authentic Korean spot in the wonderful land of Hmart!
This was our first time trying Black Bean Noodles and this style of sweet & Sour Pork. Delicious! We are now fans. We recommend the combo and yeah it's over $20 per person. However, we felt for the quantity and quality, we would go back. Pros: * Delicius food; recommend sweet & Sour Pork * Nice Staff Cons: *N/A Extra: * Inside the Hmart. There is a small food court, so seating is communal. * Parking also gets full quickly, so we park near the 24 hour fitness * This was the first time trying both dishes, so I can't say if it the best or worst of its kind. I can just say that it did taste good.
Out of everything I've had here I do think their strong suit is their jjamppong. The portion is huge, I can definitely get 2 very hearty meals out of it. It has lots of mussels, clams, and squid in it too. The Jjajangmyeon isn't as good as Paik's but it still does the job. Tangsuyuk portion is on the smaller side especially compared to the jjamppong. Definitely happy to have this Korean-Chinese spot in the H Mart food court. It's a staple that I can't do without!

The fried pork (Tangsuyuk) is always fresh, hot, steaming when it comes out. Delicious with the sweet and sour sauce. Doesn't disappoint whenever we come back for this Service: it's inside H mart so nothing much. You pick up your order once it's ready. Ambiance: busy and crowded. I see a lot of people coming to get spicy noodles because they are big in portion with lots of seafood. I love the spicy noodles
We always make a stop at the H-,Mart food court when my wife does his Seafood groceries here. One of our usual stops is this KYODONG NOODLE Our usual order here is their JJAMPONG + TANGSUYUK - its a Seafood soup either regular or their Spicy one, then always with Fried Pork with sweet & sour sauce . You can order both separately or in combo. We always get the Combo because it saves you more money than getting them individually. Also, this combo is good enough to share for 2 people, their bowl of Soup is big. My wife always order them Spicy soup which I can tolerate at a spicy level , with good broth and noodles and plenty of Seafood in it. Fried pork was also a good one with its delicious sweet dipping sauce.
A great option at the Hmart food court. My usual is the jjamppong. It's a HUGE portion of spicy seafood soup! Definitely shareable between 2 people. I think the noodle to protein ratio might be off, there is a ton of noodle. There's about 5 mussels, 5 clams, 1 shrimp, and many octopus pieces. But it does hit the spot for spicy soup. I have a medium spice tolerance would give this spice level a 7/10
Ordered the black bean sauce with noodles and also a combo meal with sweet and sour pork dish. The sweet and sour pork dish was yummy with just right amount of sweetness and sauce poured over. It was nice that it wasn't drowning in the sauce. And now the Black Bean sauce with Noodles: it was good but the sauce was a bit salty for my taste. Personally I prefer a lighter sauce but others may like it as is. (As usual, I was wearing a light colored tank top and as usual I had splattered some of the black bean sauce on myself. All to say- I advise to ask the server for some scissors or have them cut the noodles for you before you feast) :)) FYI: the store itself is located in the HMart grocery store food court. There are plenty of seats and other food stalls to come back for and try.
The best part about this restaurant is the portion, it's pretty big for the price of around $20, you can feed two person with one dish. Plus it's inside a food court of a Korean super market, it's perfect for a long day of shopping, you want to sit down and eat some authentic black bean noodles, I would pick the sea food one instead just to try something different than the original jajang, I enjoyed it so far, and probably get the spicy noodles next time. Btw the chopsticks they provided is hard to use, I can't pick up any food or noodles, which is strange, maybe that explained why they had forks all over their counter.

3/17/24 - ordered 1 dish to share, KKANPPOONG SHRIMP 깐풍새우 FRIED SHRIMP W/ SWEET CHILI SAUCE $21.99 About 20 minutes it came out. It tasted very good. Probably won't get it again. Big shrimp sizes though. You can share with 3-4 persons as an appetizer. We arrived at 10:45 and ordered. Check photos.
Came to H-Mart for kimchi but couldn't leave without eating something in the food court. Decided to try a new noodle soup that we've never had. We looked around the dining area and saw quite a few people with big steaming bowls of noodle soup. We ordered the #1 spicy seafood noodle soup, less spicy. The cashier was friendly and said the soup makes people sweat. It came out shortly thereafter and it was a beautiful steaming bowl of red seafood infused broth with lots of thick noodles, mussels, clams, shrimp, and veggies. The clams were tiny Manila clams with not much meat. Everything else was good. The dish hit the spot. This is a good place to get your noodle fix.
My go-to spot for black bean noodles/jjajangmyeon! I love that it's in Zion Market's food court so I can get a yummy meal and groceries within one stop. The jjajangmyeon is so good, it feels like my first time eating it every time I come here. They also give you pickled radish on the side which is one of my favorites! The employees are always super sweet when taking my order. Orders come out pretty quick too! Will definitely be back when I'm craving jjajangmyeon :)

Take out/Delivery so well done, it really shows the attention to detail this awesome little restaurant brings to everything they do. The Veggie Jjajjangmyeon's complex flavors are delecately balanced, a literal delight to the tastebuds and pair perfectly with the homemade noodles-SO good! The picture below is how it arrived by delivery-way above and beyond the standard packaging. Dumplings are well made, light not greasy and showcase their own delicious complex flavors. Ordered the black bean sauce with noodles and also a combo meal with sweet and sour pork dish. The sweet and sour pork dish was yummy with just right amount of sweetness and sauce poured over. Myum yumm yummm.... Had a craving for vegetarian Korean food. Most of their options are not vegetarian but they have a veggie jajangmyeon so I decided to give it a try, especially after seeing that my Yelp pal Emmett had already checked it out. It is in the H Mart food court and recently replaced a different place. Can I see how delicious these vegetarian black bean noodles are? The number six is without meat and with lots of different vegetables instead. There is also an extremely delicious pickled radish on the side. This is huge so I don't need any other banchan. Definitely coming back here again! And they packed it nicely for takeout. Hooray read more
The food court at the H Mart on Balboa Ave has seen a lot of turnover in its short existence. Kyodong Noodle is a recently opened vendor with two more vacant stalls soon to be filled by new businesses. Korean-style appetizers, dumplings, noodles, and rice dishes were the menu offerings. The black bean noodles (i.e. jjajangmyun) were one of the featured items that seemed to be most popular with customers. I picked the Seafood Jjajangmyun which had a healthy portion of black bean noodles stir fried with proteins like clams, mussels, and shrimp. The sauce was salty for my palate though as I needed a lot of water to help digest the dish. Some of the prices were expensive with certain appetizers and dumplings costing more than the noodles or rice. Since my visit occurred right before they closed, I noticed one set of customers being turned away at 7:45 pm even though the kitchen was still processing orders. I wish the lady at the service counter would have been kind enough to accommodate them because they were patiently waiting, and there was no sign indicating the closing time was going to be earlier than 8:00. read more

I already lost count of how many times I ate here in KYODONG NOODLE . I love their Soup here. When I'm in H-MART for my Lobsters, I always pass by here at kYODANG NOODLE . We tried so many food on their menu before and their were all good but their Soup is the reason I always come here. Two days ago we came again and tried: * JJAMPPONG + TANGSUYUK - JJAMPPONG is a Spicy Seafood Soup and TANGSUYUK is a Fried Pork with sweet and sour sauce * JAHPCHAE RICE - is a Glass noodles with Pork , veggies , rice The SOUP that I always order is a SPICY one, they also have a non-Spicy version, but I prefer the one with the Spice. It has a lot of seafood like Mussels, Squid, shrimps, and veggies. The noodles on the soup are always Aldente, and the Broth is spicy and delicious ! I always order my SPICY SEAFOOD NOODLE SOUP here with their FRIED PORK, it's a pork with a sweet and sour thick sauce. It's a good combo with my Soup, whenever I have too much spice from my Soup, this Pork with its sweet sauce helps lower the spice on my tongue. The Glass noodle is the new one that we recently tried, at first my Son got scared 'coz of the big Red Peppers he saw, but it turned out it wasn't that Spicy. My son said it was a good Glass noodles. Whenever we come here there's a Lady Cashier, I always forgot to get her name, but she was very nice and always asking what else we might need like extra spoons, bowls, etc. Just by writing this Review I'm craving for their JJAMPPONG -Spicy Seafood noodle soup again :) ! read more

Was craving some jjangmyeon and had some Grubhub credit. I was in the area and found this place on Grubhub. This place looks like it was recently opened so I decided to try it out! I placed my order and waited for pickup. I was pleased with the portion size. I also appreciated that they separated the noodles and sauce. I was also pleased with the amount of side pickles they gave. Many Korean places i have gone to either don't give 3-4 pieces. Overall the noodles were and sauce were on the sweeter side which I actually prefer. Price was about ~$13 which is average nowadays. This place is located in h mart so parking wasn't an issue. Looking forward to trying their other menu items next time! read more
I was thoroughly pleased with this find!! *It's in HMart....so expect to spend money regardless if you come here just for the food court or not* **A lot of parking spots but goes by FAST, had to circle around the parking lot a bit** Found this spot in the HMart food court after doing some shopping in the store. Honestly, I just randomly picked it because I wasn't familiar with anything in the food court and was VERY hungry. So happy I picked well!!! Got the spicy jjajangmyeon (never had it before) and was very pleased with it. I like spicy food and while there are elements of spicy-ness, it is not overwhelming at all! You can still taste all the flavors and easily eat this dish! 10/10 great find!!! read more

Decided to come to the H-mart food court for lunch on Friday. The food court was not very busy and I got my food quite fast. First impression was WOW this thing is gigantic!! Well I already knew that before I ordered but still, it's impressively big! It's funny that the spoon that came with it was so so small. Would definitely be better if they can increase the spoon size. The noodle was tasty. Soup was very nice but not really spicy (I am Thai, my tolerance level is very very high). What I like about it is that there's a good amount of vegies in the dish. Did not want to get too full, I finish all the seafood and veggie, ate about one third of the noodle and call it a day. It was good so I could have kept going but self control comes in handy in this case. Next time, I may take half to go and eat only a half at the food court, or take the whole thing to go and eat only half. The size definitely is for two people. read more
I was SO HAPPY to find this place!! My dad and In were craving Chinese-Korean food and found this place in the H Mart food court. Their portions are HUGE!!!! I was extremely satisfied with my jjangmyun and considering my dad "wasn't hungry" but demolished his gigantic bowl of spicy seafood noodle soup (jjampong) I'm sure he was happy too. The sweet and sour pork was awesome, I really liked the light sauce and the pork was still juicy and not dried out. Only thing was we had to take half the pork home cuz we just couldn't eat anymore lol I hope you try this place out! read more
Ordered a take-out, but got it as a dine-in. They acknowledged and attempted to correct it by taking the bowl and pouring it directly into the to-go container with noodles and all. I saw the whole thing happen as I saw the contents falling out onto the wok area. They sealed it up and gave it to me. The cashier said I'll get a new order, but he had no idea. Of course I said no I'm not taking that. Front guy tried to act like it was all good it's new and that's it's okay and they didn't put the spilled contents back in. Yeah, well I lost some of the contents I paid for that spilled not to mention how poorly it was done. Eventually I got someone that seemed like a boss to understand and fix the whole thing for me. Also, ordered extra noodles and didn't get that in my initial order and had to mention it twice. The food itself is good, but what I fear is the general practice of this place. If they're willing to do what they did, who knows what else they do with our foods in the back. Very sus and sketched out. Haven't experienced this kind of practice in about 20 years. Everything is great here except for their white rice. I have tried their signature dish, jjampong and up-jjampong, which have really rich seafood broth. I have substituted rice for the noodles and the rice here is really a let down. I come back every time for the refreshing sensation of drinking the rich broth but if they can improve their white rice, it will be amazing. Service is good and ambiance is casual as it's located inside the food court. Thank you guys but please do something about the rice!!! read more
I really wanted to give this place a 5 after being a regular here for years, but after my last experience, I cannot in full confidence do so. To begin, I exclusively order jajangmyeon noodles when I visit. Janjangmeyon noodles are incredibly hard to find in Convoy (and in SD), so I love that this place offers them. Their price is competitive, and you get a lot of noodles for the price. On my recent visit, the noodles were just okay. The sauce was lacking the deeply umami flavor that I love about this dish. The dish just seemed underseasoned. I swear that these noodles have always been fire, but on my most recent visit the noodles were okay. I think this place had an "off" day which happens - I am confident that if I visit again the dish will be much better. Charlie helped me out this last time, and he was great! A smile goes a long way, and his smile combined with his customer service was awesome. He made my average experience with the food into a better experience after the customer service. I am going to give this place a 3.7, rounded up to a 4, after my last visit. However, I am sure that when I revisit at another time, this place can get that extra star to bring it up to a 5 - stay tuned for an updated review. read more

5/5 for the jjamppong (spicy korean seafood noodle soup) Huge portion, super tasty and flavorful. Felt like I was eating a giant bowl of neoguri flavored broth. The noodles were really chewy and thick which I really liked. Plentiful seafood toppings (clam, mussles, squid and 2 pieces of shrimp). Such a great meal for a rough day after work. Total came to $16 and was definitely good for 2 people if you're not feeling too hungry. Service was fast and efficient. This is located in the Hmart food court. Parking is relatively easy. Definitely will return for the jjamppong! read more
You get a lot of food for their price. Is it like "food court" quality? Yeah, but it doesn't make the food any less comforting. It's convenient if you're heading to H Mart anyway. I had the jjajangmyeon combo with tangsuyuk and my partner had the jjamppong. We had enough leftovers for two more meals. I think the best thing was the jjamppong. It was too spicy for me but I could appreciate how much seafood and vegetables were in it. Definitely big enough for two to share. The jjajangmyeon was large as well, but the sauce was a little too rich and thick for my preference. I would have liked more meat and cucumbers, especially cucumbers to cut the rich sauce. The tangsuyuk had some great pieces and some dry pieces. I wish the pineapple wasn't from a can, but it was a huge plate to come in a combo set meant for one person. I'd definitely come again for its convenience and bang for buck. read more
Stopped by here before doing some grocery shopping for some Korean items. This place is located in a small food court situated inside of H-mart market. I had a craving for jjajaameyon so I ordered it, the price was very reasonable at $11.99. Service was fast and they give you one of those pagers to let you know when it's ready. Either the noodles or the sauce was too watery though, more than expected, so the sauce had real trouble staying on the noodles. read more

Hello, is the white seafood noodle soup spicy? And is the black bean jiajiang noodle spicy? I have young kids who couldn't tolerate any level of spicy food. Thank you for letting us know!
The black bean sauce is not spicy at all. However, the white seafood noodle soup does have trace amounts of red pepper powder
