Have gone here a few times now... Overall the food is decent, but several bad experiences. One of which is the Ahi tuna is very bristly and inferior quality. Have had to throw away several sandwiches because they have been in edible. a substantial a complaint is the inability to phone order... they force you to order online which is highly inconvenient, especially when on the go. Went here as a result of the Axxess Card. Quick service and nice servers. Now the bad. Restaurant was filthy with wet , sticky, and dirty floors. Dish basins and trash bins were overflowing. Servers continually walked past the obvious. Tables were dirty. Fries are tasty but burgers are just blah. This is a relatively new restaurant in Goleta. Hate to see it in a year or so at this pace. Also we saw "Kyle" the boy on the posters. He was dragging a stuffed dog on a leash through the floor filth then hugging the doll. We have a special needs family member. Not trying to be rude. Kyles should be what you replace any of your fast food nights with because it is fast and cheap, however, it tastes and is wayyyy better than fast food. The brioche buns are so tasty and fresh tasting. The burgers are fun and made with care. Their prices are unbeatable, especially for the quality of food that you get. The workers are always so welcoming and make the establishment a place you want to go back to. You can make all the burgers lettuce wrapped if you have diet restrictions or preferences. I want to support small family owned and operated businesses especially this day in age but was so disappointed yesterday. Ordered online and requested curbside pickup. Arrived at the time requested and had to call 5 times before someone would pick up the phone! Yet I could see directly into the restaurant and all three employees were standing there talking! Finally, someone answered and told me that they were really busy and running behind and would bring out our food shortly! Really?!? We got our food and went home to find out fries were missing, my burger was wrong and our food was cold! I called back 12 more times before someone answered the phone and returned a 2nd time to pick up the replacement items. This place is a joke and was a waste of $40.... never again!!! read more

I have been going to this Kyle's Kitchen on Hollister since its opening, My coworker at the time was crazy about these restaurants. So you can imagine I was aesthetic when they opened one closer to where we work. The food is pretty good. Even have vegetarian options. My favorite burger is the mountain climber got a great jalapeño flavor to it and they always cook the beef patty the way I like it also like the way they season their fires as well! They have lots different options fries, burger, and salads ! They have a restaurant inside a restaurant called Sup&Jus for the health freaks out and they also have tons of options! Something for the kids and adults alike. The customer service is out standing, Juliana is my usual cashier and is one of my favorite people of all time! She is an outstanding person and amazing at her job. Every time I see her it makes my day. She introduced me to their delicious hand scooped ice creams and shakes. She an expert at the art of making theses shakes so much so that I rave about her and the magic of her expertise all the time at work, now everyone here is going over to try out theses shakes and hand scooped ice creams. I placed an order for pick up - they gave me an estimated pick up time of 30 minutes from order. I got there early and the order was ready as I walked in. The food was delicious and their ranch is clearly homemade. I got the grilled cheese and the bread and cheese were perfect. The fries were a little too squishy for my taste but they still ate well. But why offer Curbside if when you call that you're there, they say they will now start the order? I had never been to their restaurants so I decided to take my little nephew and get a hamburger. I found out they were having a Happy Hour from 3pm -6pm. We got there just before 3:00pm we ordered and when we paid it was 2:59pm (according to the manager I emailed). Therefore, we were charged full price when we wanted to get their Happy Hour specials. Poor customer seems from the cashier who didn't said hey wait 1 more minute and it would be at Happy Hour price and their management who needs customer service skills improvement. Honestly, I love this place every time I pick food up for lunch. I almost always get the chicken and avo sandwich with either fries or a salad. The only negative thing I have to say is that during the lunch rush it can get very busy. Today I ordered the farmhouse salad with a vinigrette dressing. Except, unfortunately, once I got back to work I ate a farmhouse salad with a thai peanut dressing. Still delicious, mind you, I'm only pointing this mistake out since many people have allergies to peanuts. Luckily I still enjoyed my food allergy free, but hopefully the staff can maybe take a little extra time with double checking orders (or label the dressing a little better). Had to take off a few stars for the service at the Goleta Kyle's Kitchen off Hollister. The last time I went, I was picking up food that I had ordered online. They didn't have it prepared by the time I selected on my order, which was kind of annoying (why order online if it won't even be ready on time?), but I wasn't in any rush so I sat down to wait while they prepared it. While I was waiting, a young female employee behind the counter started yelling at one of the young male employees about how he "doesn't listen to her," and berated him in front of all the other customers and employees for a solid 10 minutes. Obviously, I don't know the details behind the situation, but the whole thing seemed super unprofessional, and I couldn't get out of there fast wnough. The food and the cause at Kyle's Kitchen is still great, but the employees could really use some additional training. I hope they get some conflict resolution training, and learn to take those conversations in a private space. read more

I visit Kyle's at least once a week and am generally happy with my food and service but today was an exception. I ordered a soup and salad and was presented with the total which surprised me. I asked why it was so expensive and the salesperson seemed confused and had to take out a menu to try to break it down. The problem is their point of sale screen just gives you one option - leave a tip and accept the total. You have no idea if there was a double charge or if an order was wrong. I asked to see what the prices were and he said I could do this by paying for the meal, then reviewing it via the email or text receipt breakdown. Then he said they could always refund me. This is such an illogical way to present information to the customer. I said forget it and sat and waited for my order. Ten minutes later, they called me to up to the counter to tell me they ran out of the soup. This was 5:30 on a weeknight, before the dinner rush. They just have two soups plus an entire business next door that literally make soup all day (SUP & Jus) and they ran out of soup. I couldn't believe the ridiculousness of the whole situation so I just took the other soup, the one I didn't want, rather than deal with a refund, which I am doubtful they'd be able to pull off. Get your act together Kyle's - fix your PoS system and stop hiring children to work there. read more

I love Kyle's Kitchen for what it stands for and what the business does for our community but this location is not my favorite. I only come to this location when I absolutely have to - all staff members need to work on their customer service skills! The last time I was in, one of the cash registers went offline. The register had lost several orders and it was incredibly busy. Although this was not anyone's fault, the way the manager and staff handled the situation was terrible and extremely disorganized! One of the employees was trying to take orders on a brown paper bag - I watched her take my order on a bag (she's wasn't really listening because she was overwhelmed by the number of people in line, I had to repeat myself several times), and then hand the bag off to the chef. 25 minutes later I asked about my order and the expeditor said "Sorry, I don't know where your order is.."I ended up asking for a refund because there was no way I could wait. And no one could tell me how long I was going to have to continue to wait since they couldn't find my order! Sad. I will continue to try and avoid this location. read more

We ordered two burgers one with fries and the other with a salad. The fries were cold and tasteless. The salad was ok, but the burgers were very small and super greasy. Fries were cut pretty small; tasted fine, just a lot of catsup on the fingers picking up small fries (this is a nit). Soup was very good, salad fine. Long time customer of Kyles on Calle Real. First trip to this new location. Disappointed. First thing I noticed is the staff not friendly. Not at the counter and not the folks that delivered the food to table. No smiles, no welcome. Servers almost seemed impatient. Found my food to be not quite the same either but it usually doesn't taste the same in an unfriendly environment. The store is new, so nice and bright and clean. This place is fantastic. My go to is the Firefighter burger. There are several options for sides siluch as fries or salads. The shakes are hand made. Almost every online order I've had has resulted in some sort of mistake. Recently, I put in an order with a total of 7 hamburgers and paired them with fries. When they handed me my order they only gave me 4 burgers and 3 fries. I told them I was missing 3 more of my mountain climber burgers + fries and showed them my receipt. They then proceeded to tell me that I ordered wrong - when I didn't. They even grabbed my phone without asking and passed it around to verify with the other employees. We went back and forth a couple times and they continued to accused me of not ordering correctly. When they finally realized that I spent a total of $90 - they then started to believe me. I understand mistakes happen but accusing the customer repeatedly when the error was with them the entire time is unacceptable. I worked in restaurants and I find the interaction rude. It's clear that the workers have no attention to detail and do not know how to read online orders. Very disappointing experience with the employees. read more

The homemade veggie burger on a brioche bun was delicious and filling. And the rest of my family loved their hamburgers and fries. This is a kid-friendly, clean and reasonably-priced restaurant. The menu has something for everyone. You might want to bring home a chocolate chip cookie or two for dessert. If you like ranch dressing, you may want to try their jalapeño ranch dressing which is tasty but it's not overwhelming hot. We will be back again soon. read more

I absolutely love the Earth Burger that they have here. They are the same across the other locations in Santa Barbara/Goleta. As someone who isn't a big meat eater, I always ask my husband and friends to go to this burger place because the veggie burger is delicious.
