They need to get their act together at this store. Twice in a row now they've forgotten to make food when I've ordered takeout from them, once in person, and today through Grub Hub. Today they forgot to make my son's grilled cheese, apparently due to an issue with the ticket not printing. So I paid for food, and didn't receive it. Nearly everything about this restaurant is really great. The burgers taste great, the customer service is really good, the restaurant is spacious and clean, and the price is very reasonable. I eat here about once a month and try to eat out on the patio. The noise level is low and there is enough shade provided. I usually get the Mountain Climber burger with the Kale & Cranberry salad. It's under $11 and is delicious. Also, the food comes out quickly (even at busy lunch rush hour times). I brought 15 teenagers and their youth leaders here for dinner tonight- we are staying st El Capitan Canyon and this is just a quick ride down the freeway. Service was excellent. Kelly, Maddy, and Addison took our orders quickly, food was out before we knew it and everything was delish. 2 things to know about Kyle's Kitchen if you order online (like pretty much all of us these days): 1) there is no cancellation. If you order and something happens so you can't pick up your food, there is no option to cancel. Yes, there is a phone number they say you can call, but no one answers it. 2) you cannot order your meat well done. I understand most people like their ground beef raw, but I do not. It's also not a totally safe option for everyone. I wasn't going to leave a bad review after my first bad experience, but after multiple I'm over it. I come here frequently, but mainly since my kids are friends with Kyle and LOVE going here. The burgers and milkshakes are decent, but no better (and more expensive) than Habit or Cal Taco. I wish the burgers were either larger or cooked less, because they always end up overdone. Also wish they had an option for sweet potato fries. On the plus side, they have several local craft beer options rotating on tap, although I've never seen them carry anything darker than a light amber. I eat at this Kyle's at least once a week. I am very familiar with their menu and level of service. When this place first opened, I would easily have given them 5 stars every. single. time. I think that what they do for the community is outstanding. Because I am such a frequent diner here, I can tell you that their customer service and food quality has gone downhill big time over the past couple of months. Interestingly enough, when the manager isn't there, customer service is unheard of. I don't know the manager's name, but he is a tall, dark haired man - and always keeps his staff on their toes and customers happy. He is hardly ever there anymore, which explains the lack of customer service. One evening I went in and ordered the California Chicken Club without bacon. The food was delivered to my table, with bacon. I explained to Maddy (who brought the food) that I had ordered it without the bacon. She looked at me and said , "Oh, well sorry" and left the table. No offer to correct the food, just a blatant disregard for basic customer service. Another time I was there waiting, and waiting, and waiting for my food, while the shift leader and the trainee were goofing off and sampling milkshakes that they were making for customers. While they were doing their sampling, my food sat up there getting cold. I had to go up to the front and ASK them to hand me my food. I was there last week, and ordered a salad. Their salads always come with a warm fresh baked roll. My salad was delivered without the roll. When I asked about it, Maddy (yep, Maddy again) said they were in the oven. (No offer to bring me a roll when they were done, no apology, just simply they are in the oven) I saw them take the tray out of the oven, and no one brought the missing roll to complete my meal. I've also been served salads without ANY dressing, even though I ordered light dressing. When I asked for the dressing, the guy at the front said that the cook got busy and didn't have time to put dressing on the salad. WHAT???? Again, no offer to bring a side of dressing, no offer to make it right, nothing. Complaints like this should probably be brought directly to the manager's attention, or emailed in, but I have not been able to find an email address on their website. Hopefully management at Kyle's sees this and makes the necessary corrections and schools the staff on the most basic skills of Customer Service. Maybe Kyle's is doing so well, they are focusing on expanding and not minding their existing locations. What happened to customer service and quality? read more

I am going to give a higher rating than I should because they are trying to be a good community restaurant. However, we stopped going once a week or more as we were suspicious of getting a stomach upset from the food last year. But really this review is for the new Protein Grill side of the restaurant that replaces the old Soup n' Jus. The baguette bread is really good for the sandwiches, like eating cake if you get it by itself fresh for $3.50. The carry out meal containers have small spots for the sides, so make sure that they fill them completely. The protein area is layered with a little arugula (I wish it was mixed with iceberg lettuce due to the arugula strong flavor) then the sliced meat (a little on the skimpy side, they need to tell you and provide an exact weighed out amount to be fair) is placed on that. The sauce you choose is placed in a little container in with the meat. So overall, I hope the Protein Grill continues, but for the $10+ meal price, they should not be skimpy with the food, and they will be successful. And I hope that their food handling will be top notch, as some of the salad ingredients sit out so long, so keep those very cold and keep the proteins very hot! read more

During lockdown I've done my best to order from local businesses, but the Kyle's location off Hollister has gotten my order wrong almost every single time. Paid $4 for chicken in my salad? No chicken. Order the burger and salad combo? No salad. Order a Kyle's Kobb salad? Congratulations you have a Kickin Cowboy salad that doesn't even have all the ingredients of that salad. Hope you like the jalapeño ranch that you never wanted! Order a side of fries? You guessed it...no fries! I come to this Kyle's Kitchen location fairly regularly and the food quality is consistently great. But every single time I order online, the food is NEVER ready when it says it will be. They start working on the order when I get there, causing me to wait an extra 15 minutes at the very least. During one visit, when I ordered in person, I waited even more than one hour for my order. When I asked for an update on the order, they realized they had completely forgotten about it and began to work on it then. Granted it was busy at the time, but there seems to be a constant lack of organization at the front desk. They cannot seem to relay any information to the customers, leaving them waiting around. Kyle's is a good spin off of silvergreens. I like most of the chicken sandwiches and burgers. I get the quinoa salad when I'm feeling like a salad. The milkshakes and Sundays are awesome. The kids chicken burger or cheese burger are good options for kids. The only thing I would change are offering a small garden salad instead of fries or strawberries for the kids menu. This location is absolutely filthy. Went today for lunch and there were ants on the table. Probably because ALL booths were already empty yet hadn't been cleaned and no plates removed. I walked up and asked if someone would clean the tables and no one ever did so we squeezed into one of the smaller tables that was actually clean.
