My greeting was very polite and even made conversation with them. And I quote, "All I need is an oil and filter change, nothing else. I'm short on time" The technician broke an air filter housing unit on my vehicle. Store manager told me a new part would be ordered and could be installed within a few days. Of course Check Engine Light came on during the drive home. After not hearing from them for a few days, I called "the store" which is a corporate call center, who transferred me to "Customer Care". They contacted the store who then stated "we are unsure of which part to order"! You broke the part, had it in your hand and now you're telling me you don't know which part to order??!! They finally ordered the part to be shipped to my home address. Low and behold wouldn't ya know it, wrong part! 450 hours of training? I find that extremely hard to believe. Sounds like false advertising. After more phone calls to "Customer Care" and very little apologies or understanding, the "correct" part was ordered and set to be delivered to my home. Well wouldn't you know it, delivered to the store. After receiving a phone call from corporate and store mgr., they wanted to come to my farm, 30+ miles away and install. No thanks. Just send it to my home. They stated they would overnight it. Part still hasn't arrived. This has gone on for close to if not over a month. I have a working farm w/livestock and rely heavily on my truck. It's apparent they or corporate understand the significance of a farm truck. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!!

I'm happy to add myself to that list. After sitting there for as long as I did, I'm shocked that they have any reviews that are above one star.

I was recommended to Don's by another mechanic that I'd gone to for years. I've been going to Don's for3 - 4 years now. They've always done a fine job diagnosing the cause of a problem and recommending how much and how long it would take to fix the problem. I took my 09 CTS into Don's about 5 - 6 weeks ago. All wheel drive started making a banging noise. One of their technicians went with me for a test drive and he was able to pinpoint the general area. I was given an estimate and they fixed (?) the problem. About a week later the CTS started making the noise again. My wife was driving the car at the time and as soon as she heard it she was able to turn into another local (Dent, OH.) garage. The shop she pulled into in Dent said it was going to cost over a thousand dollars to fix (which did include fixing the work that Don's Garage did. I called Don's and he (at my suggestion) spoke with the tech in Dent. Don's sent a wrecker out to get my car (at no charge to me). Don's got into diagnosing what the Dent mechanic identified. Don's garage agreed with the other dianosis. There was no arguing or haggling. Don's fixed the car (it wasn't a big deal). Just vibration worked some bolts loose on the 'rear end', coupled with my wife getting off the road so quickly. There was no charge for the work, no charge for the wrecker and they worked with the Dent mechanic and again, no charge to me. Will I go back to Don's Garage in Elsmere again? ABSOLUTELY! We live in Monfort Heights but we'll gladly drive the 22 miles to Don's while passing hundred(s) of shops along the way, many of which I'm sure are capable repair shops. They earned the right for me to keep using them. Best regards, Don G.
