They are a small business and do not offer payment plans, so keep that in mind if you have a larger issue and are living pay-check-to-paycheck. Had them replace my sway bar a couple years ago, and had no problems with it since. Price was fair, comparable to what other mechanics were charging (someone else I knew had the same issue about a month prior so I had a good comparison). They also provided transportation home, and to pick up my car when it was finished. My one complaint is that they did miss a small oil leak on inspection, but my car had so many larger leaks and issues at the time that may have eclipsed the issue.

A friend of mine had some work done at Community Auto Service with Bret. She sang his praises and so I asked him what it might cost for me to get my AC Compressor replaced. His estimate was 1/2 the price of what I was told at other places. I called and made the appointment to take my car in. No joke, 20 minutes after making the appointment I got to work and smelled a burning smell - but didn't see smoke or anything. I told my husband about it and we had a game plan. When I went to leave, my car started and went into reverse, but my steering wheel wouldn't move, so I ended up having my car towed to Community Auto a day early. They still didn't get to it until the appointment time, but that was ok. In addition to the AC compressor, a belt had been destroyed, etc. When Bret called to tell me the cost, I had expected it to get to be the $1400, but it wasn't. The grand total was about $845. I was very happy with that. Bret was thorough and quick with the repair and I am very happy.

In a nutshell, they won't work on your car when they tell you they will, and will charge a ton of money, and not fix the problem. It cost me 1100 dollars to fix a noise that sounded like a bad pulley. They replaced a pulley and tensioner, I still heard noise after I paid, told the 2 technicians, they were VERY adamant that there was no noise and everything was good. Long story short, 2 weeks later, I had to replace a failing water pump at over 1000 dollars while traveling on vacation. I even mentioned when I first brought it in that it could be the water pump. Please don't go through the headache I did.

My greeting was very polite and even made conversation with them. And I quote, "All I need is an oil and filter change, nothing else. I'm short on time" The technician broke an air filter housing unit on my vehicle. Store manager told me a new part would be ordered and could be installed within a few days. Of course Check Engine Light came on during the drive home. After not hearing from them for a few days, I called "the store" which is a corporate call center, who transferred me to "Customer Care". They contacted the store who then stated "we are unsure of which part to order"! You broke the part, had it in your hand and now you're telling me you don't know which part to order??!! They finally ordered the part to be shipped to my home address. Low and behold wouldn't ya know it, wrong part! 450 hours of training? I find that extremely hard to believe. Sounds like false advertising. After more phone calls to "Customer Care" and very little apologies or understanding, the "correct" part was ordered and set to be delivered to my home. Well wouldn't you know it, delivered to the store. After receiving a phone call from corporate and store mgr., they wanted to come to my farm, 30+ miles away and install. No thanks. Just send it to my home. They stated they would overnight it. Part still hasn't arrived. This has gone on for close to if not over a month. I have a working farm w/livestock and rely heavily on my truck. It's apparent they or corporate understand the significance of a farm truck. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!!
