Over priced and service was just as bad. Won't ever go back. I'd stay away from this location for sure.

Don't recommend this place these guys do not know what they are doing when it comes to servicing a diesel. They serviced my fuel filters one time and I've had to go back twice now so they can fix problems that they caused. That they deny ever causing. They were saying to one another that I had taken the filter off myself causing these problems and that it was suspicious that I've had to come in about every month now because of the filters. I went here to get my safety inspection completed for my registration not long after having to replace a part of the emission system. The information in my truck hadn't updated yet so I had to drive it more to get it to do its checks and update. I first drove 100 miles and it still didn't update. I did this several more times until I had driven 500 miles. After r 6 or 7 checks the system in truck finally updated and cleared. The folks here were on my side through the whole process and always hoping it would clear. When it finally did they all cheered. The manager even came out of the office when he saw me and asked if it passed. The people were great every time I went in. Great customer service. read more

The true test of service is asking for something they don't do and see how hard they try. I had an exhaust problem and they rehung the tailpipe, popped the hood to listen went below and showed me a pic of my problem. Went and got the putty to fix the hole and even offered to let me pull back in to use their underneath bay. Great guys. I'll be back for going the extra mile with me. Well done team. read more

Patrons be aware.. I have been to this location twice each time have been treated complete contempt. The first time was in June of 2024. The second time was in June 2025. Both time was not able to get my car inspected. At my first attempt in 2025 I was told he "the inspection guy " will be soon. So I opted comeback later. Because she could not tell me when or if this guy's going to be there or not. So I came back at the time she said. I pulled up to the back of the store. She walks out and tells uhh while she is looking around I see a guy coming out of the pit area, then he goes inside the front area. Then she said that I guess he has gone to lunch. So I was not able to get my car inspected either tIme, then to add insult to injury, I was willing to comeback for a third time, and I bet you can guess happened next. I arrived at 5PM "this store closes at 7PM" and was told by the same lady I guess, he had just left for the day. The same I guy had seen walking off the work area was sitting in light colored Chevrolet pickup truck behind where I was at this point. This young lady was obviously being controlled by this guy who does not care if this franchise is viable or not. And to answer your question I kept coming back because , we should buy locally if want to have this services available in the future. read more

I got my oil changed. That's it. Couldn't check tire pressure cause nothing they had worked. Couldn't reset the oil indicator cause they didn't know how. Tried to do a car inspection there but the computers were down. Family first auto is down the road along 35 going south, much better place to go. No full service at this place. read more

Took my diesel for a routine oil change because Gentle's was closed, I've been to them before on the weekends. After waiting 30 mins, which wasn't a big deal, this guy in shorts, Cowboy boots sporting an afro comes up and asks me what oil I want in there, which is something he should already know. I told him to go look at the records of what they've done in the passed, which he apparently has 0 clue how to read. After I googled which oil to do, he comes and tells me the wrong oil and it'll be $190 for an oil change. Combo of this guy not having a clue and the increase in prices, again, I said no thanks. This place is great for inspections but that's it. These guys have absolutely no idea what they're doing, they're overcharging and trying to oversell from the recent reviews. Avoid them, go to Gentle's in town, wait the wait if he'd busy because they're worth every penny. read more

I stopped by here and got my oil changed on my F-250. The service was quick, I didn't have to wait long. I feel they went out of the way to check a few other things. The price I paid was reasonable, I feel they had good deals here. Great service all around and I'd highly recommend the place. read more

went in Saturday 9/14/2024 to get inspection and they told me i needed a new cabin filter,showed me a filter with a pile of lint on it which was not my filter and with good faith told them to go ahead and change it,charged me $39.00 for the new filter,got home later that night and checked the filter,they did not change the filter still had the old filter i put in last year with my name on it! I moved to San Antonio but always seem to be up this way when my oil needs changing. I like coming here because they check everything. When I was moving I stopped for an oil change and they probably saved me from having a blow out while driving. They saw that one of my tires was in bad condition and let me know. The old owner is missed and the old crew is missed for at least 5 year I used this location have had no issues with them in fact I used them for maintaining my work jeep. However, this new owner and crew is totally different. The price for oil change is drastically increased. The price for inspection would be too if not regulated but when your car is failed and you come back to try again they charge you full price again which is against state law. Max you can be charged again is $7. They also lie on what can cause you to fail so you'll come back and be charged that full price again. They said my head lights were foggy and had water in them. Yes they were foggy cus it's an old car but it's always passed and it passed this year at another location. And no it didn't have water in them. Every time I come here anymore I need something. Literally become a scam haven. I sure miss the original owner. Even for an inspection they find something that needs replaced as simple as a windshield wiper. For god sake's my windshield wipers were working just fine yesterday when it was rainy, but they refused to pass me unless I bought their windshield wipers. They keep my 2 cars going. I have a 2007 impala and rhd jeep. I'm in there so much they know me by name. They owner and guys are great. Never left unsatisfied from their service. If they notice anything that needs work that they can't fix they tell me if it needs attention ASAP or if I can wait. They give me the break down on what wrong and where to go not to get cheated. Went there with a 2000 F150 for an oil change. They charged $69.95 for oil (synthetic) and $6.00 for a filter. I had no problem with that, I know the cost of oil has gone up. However, they came back with an additional charge of $229.99 for the "Full Service Oil Change" which means they supposedly checked simple things like: Exterior lights, Wiper Blades, Washer fluid, Tire Pressure, Power Steering Fluid, Belts, etc. This was not something that I couldn't have done in less than 20 minutes at home. If you go there, which I wouldn't, tell them that you DO NOT WANT a "full service" oil change but just a simple Oil Change ONLY! The total bill for getting my oil changed was $327.99!!!! What a rip! Had my oil changed at kwik kar in sanger tx about 4 months ago. I have always changed my on oil but went to kwik kar. Changed my oil today myself an noticed they had put a different oil plug in. The stock plug has a magnet on the end of the plug. This one does not and it is about a inch longer. Guess they keep a box of plugs in the bay an use whatever. That will be the last time I go let kwik kar change my oil. read more

Avoid the Sanger Texas location of Kwik Kar, a total rip. Took my vehicle there for an oil change service, some grimy employee told me to get out of the car and he would pull it inside, getting grease on my leather seats. I deliberately let 4 pounds of pressure out of one of the tires to see if they checked tire pressure. They didn't. Their checklist said they washed the exterior windows, vacuumed the interior, washer fluid- THEY DID NONE OF THESE. Then he tells me it's $117.00 for an oil change, I said I only brought one car. Then he gives me a song and dance that he is being charged more. You can buy the same synthetic oil at Walmart for $5.00 a quart RETAIL, certainly they are buying for less than that so they may have $15.00-$18.00 tied up in the oil. Had they performed all the items on the checklist, I might let it slide, but if they failed on several I can see; but I seriously doubt they checked the differential, lubricated the chassis, checked the transmission fluid, etc. Ohh yeah, he wanted to sell me an air filter, but they listed the Air filter and cabin air filter as GOOD CONDITION. I know they didn't check the cabin air filter, because I could tell it wasn't accessed. This place is totally dishonest, does poor or no work at all, and then tries to gouge you by charging double what my last oil change cost. I have been taking all our vehicles to the Sanger Kwik Kar for several years for Oil changes, A/C Flushing, Inspections and so on. The service is outstanding. They are very good to give you advice on what every you may be taking your car there for. My experience is that if they see that you don't need something done on your vehicle that you think you do they will advise you and not try to take advantage of you by doing something that is unnecessary. I went to get my oil changed today. It was raining but I saw them pull a truck into one of the bays so I figured they were open for business, especially since the open sign was on. I have gone here to this location many times over the last year and 1/2, and have had good service. But today... was ridiculous and comical in a bad way. I drove up, and I saw four guys in the bay. One of which (dark hair, dark eye glasses), peeked (yes peeked... saw the top of his head and his glasses) around the corner, like I couldn't see him, and he took note that I was waiting there and just ignored me. The others did the same thing, saw me and ignored me. What the heck is wrong with these people? I left and will not be going back there again. I still cannot believe the peeker guy... I mean really? Great service at first but when my service engine light came back on a day later they wanted to charge me to look at it. They also said what they fixed had nothing to do with the service engine light, that's why I had brought it in. They found out what the code was, said it was a very generic code and just to drive it until more codes pop up. How can I tell when more codes pop up ? read more

Hey Amanda, service engine lights can come on for about 100,000 reasons. Just because the light comes on and you get it repaired does not mean it can't come on for another reason. As far as charging to check the the service engine light, that's standard anywhere you go...call around. You asked how to know when more codes pop up...the check engine light will come on. Charged me a hundred dollars to flush cooling system. All they did was partially drain system and then refilled it mixing reg gylcol antifreeze with the GM dexcool. Now I have to take car to dealership to get system cleaned. read more
