It's the tires that can't last forever so used (good to better rated) I get from Afford It Tire & Wheels on 2164 North of Loop 288 a few minutes drive. There are numerous alternatives and I have purchased from a couple but none are so great as Afford It in every possible way, and I really mean every point of comparison. The inventory of both new and used is impressive. I suggest calling ahead and Li'l Rock will be ready when you arrive. 30 minutes is all you need to get 2 tires replaced (old off, newly acquired set mounted, balanced and installed. That would include completing the biz part. The founder and co-owner along w/Li'l Rock is Henry. He is the "Tire Whisperer" and hunter gatherer of the shop's used tires. My size for the Chevy is a hard to find 16" model which I know to call a couple days ahead or a week is better for those more rare sizes & styles. I dare you to find a cleaner restroom and office/customer lounge in the County. I am always working with a limited budget which will push me out of many tire centers price range. I do not believe any budget can handle the prices here! Truly, I have a meager Senior Citizen fixed income with a adult child SLACKER at home who will not stop eating so I need a tire center who understands customers like me; I still get treated like a "heavy" with a wallet stuffed full of $100 dollar bills. This is the 2nd/Newest Afford It Tire Wheels location in Denton; the other is on University (380) just west of Loop 288 sitting on the South side of University. The folks at the University shop, Stacey usually handles phones & Admin. and Randy is the Principal who also does the mechanical and heavy lifting stuff, anything really. The entire staff are professionals at providing all the right wheels and tires then completing all necessary steps to mount, balance and install any sort of tires and wheels for almost any purpose. Used, New, trailer tires, ATV, Heavy Duty, imports, SUV's etc. I assure you that you can't go wrong with either of the Afford It Tire & Wheels. Best selection and BEST PRICES anywhere in N. Texas. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The report we received was detailed, which included a grade and a comment for certain problem areas. I had experience with this guy called Robert aka Rob and he is just a total waste of time and money…read morewho charges almost double the cost than any other services out there and provides 0 * services. He claims so called experienced and certified and will perform thorough inspection and says he is kind of a guy who underpromised and over delivered but he is actually other way that overpromised and under delivered services. What makes is even pathetic is that he gets really upset when we ask any questions to him about the vehicle and doesn't even bother to listen what we ask or say, he just wants us to see his report and just concentrate on whatever he has mentioned about the issues on the vehicle inspected while even if there are other issues exist on the vehicle which he hasn't identified and he says its all fine as long as its not mentioned in the report. His report format is like years old format which doesn't have any details to trust what his inspection is about and doesn't include any photos of whatsoever, he initially claimed the inspection is for 3-4 hours then said it will be 2.5 hours and then during the actual inspection, he spent less than 2 hours in which half of his time was spent on writing notes, taking breaks etc. And he would not give any kind of refund when pointed out any of his mistakes. Would highly recommend not use Robert's services for any kind of pre purchase vehicle inspection as it's truly unprofessional, high attitude guy, not trust worthy, not detail oriented, liar, disappointing.
