I've only had state inspections and an emissions test here (no longer needing safety). The emissions test is $18.50. I've enjoyed my experience. Bonus points that it's less than 5 minutes from me. Every time I pull up, someone greets me at my window and takes care of it. I just show my vehicle insurance on my phone. I've never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes for the inspections. Oil changes will take longer, of course. There's 3 bays that they work from. There are coupons on their website. There's a small waiting area while you wait. It's clean and has a TV and Keurig. There's a clear window view of them doing the work. You can also hear what's happening. I overheard some enthusiastic comments about my Crown. Haha. Thank you. I'm a Toyota person and had my previous one for 20 years. The nice guy who greeted me said he had his Camry for 311,000+ miles. Impressive. As long as I'm in the area, I'll continue to get my vehicle inspections here. Next time, I'll ask about their oil change. read more

Kwik Kar - Queenie getting inspected! Super quick and friendly service. - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Houston, Texas

Went in for a car inspection after buying a new car. They only needed proof of insurance. Overall, time spent was about 15 minutes. The cost was 18.50 for the emissions check and paying. No frills, no nonsense, quick visit. My kind of place. read more

Came to Kwik Kar at this location for a regular maintenance including oil change. It was a very easy process from start to finish. There were a quite a few people here but they worked through everyone with great efficiency. One of the mechanics even brought me around back to explain one of the services he was doing. All in all, I was very impressed and will likely come here again as it was pretty convenient. read more

Kwik Kar - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Houston, Texas

I came here for an oil change and was impressed again. It was recommended my truck receive rear differential serviced. The tech came back and told me it didn't need it. Wow! Integrity. I'll be back for the next service. read more

Came in for an oil change and I could immediately tell that they knew what they were doing and were honest. I had a great experience and they were happy to explain everything in more detail (since I know nothing about cars) and I felt comfortable. Pricing was about average to other places I've gone for oil changes, and it was actually cheaper than my recent place I've been going to. read more

This place sucked, I from out of town and needed to get my oil changed. They couldn't change my oil due to the fact the bolts were too tight for them, they blamed the last people that did my oil change- the dealership Didn't like their attitude as well. read more

Stopped in today for an inspection so that I can get my vehicle registration done. I pulled in looking like a deer lost in headlights because I was unsure if I was on the right side and the owner/manager walked up to my car with the biggest nicest smile and made me feel better about not knowing where to go LOL. I told him what I needed and he said, of course they could do that and instantly took my vehicle to start the inspection process. I went in and checked out with the cashier and literally within minutes my vehicle is ready. I know the process isn't typically long, but this had to be the fastest and friendly service I had. read more

Favorite place to get my car serviced I appreciate everyone who works here! Great customer service and super quick!! 10/10 always recommend

I actually had a Groupon for an inspection at another place, but they didn't open until 9am, and this place had already opened at 8am, and I was nearby and in the mood to just go ahead and check getting an inspection off my list so I can renew my registration before it expires. I checked with them to see what the wait would be, and I was told 10 minutes. SOLD. I went inside and waited, and sure enough, not quite 10 minutes later, I was paying and about to be on my way. Service was quick and friendly, and I was able to be on my way in a very short amount of time. I would definitely come here again, and I recommend them to anyone who needs an oil change or a state inspection. read more

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. Came on a Tuesday around lunch time with no wait to get my car inspection done. I think it was under 10mins between my arrival & departure. Everyone was pleasant and polite and the whole process was seamless. Waiting area was clean and quiet. This is so close to work and home, conveniently located off Washington Ave and close to IH-10. I'll definitely be back for services in the future. read more

I love coming here for oil changes and inspections. It's hassle free and they have you in and out. I visited yesterday (Saturday) for a car inspection. I was there for 20 minutes. I needed a light bulb for one of my signal lights. They had some for my car in stock, had that replaced and got inspected and out the door. Everyone is courteous, efficient, and professional. read more

There are plenty of oil change and state inspection joins around town, but when often you need these things done when you really don't have a ton of time. I needed a state inspection before renewing my registration, and found this spot about five minutes' drive from the registration office downtown. I was in and out in ten minutes, the staff were friendly, and you really can't ask for more than that. read more

Great work! Thanks for staying on a holiday to get my car in! Definitely found my shop.

I stopped in to get an oil change and while I'm waiting I hear the garage guys talking about how I have no oil and borderline making fun of me for it. The guy came in and shouted to the whole room that I have no oil and I can blow out my engine. I told him, "I know. That's why I'm here." Then he goes out to the garage and starts mocking me to the other guys. I should not be subject to be made fun of when going in to service my car. I'm paying you to do this service which does not require a mockery. I can mock them all day, but that's disrespectful and beneath me. read more

Had my car serviced here because I was having issues with it cranking and needed to get it inspected- they got right on it and was able to run the diagnostic and get the results within 20 mins! There weren't any issues with my car, I had just been sold a bad battery from another place. They even advised me of the bay tarry warranty that was still on from the other place. I got some pushback from the battery store, they told me to tell the shop it was my charging point- got me in again same day to double check that this wasn't true simply for my peace of mind. Excellent customer service at this place, it's definitely my go to! read more

First visit based on Yelp reviews. I have to agree the staff is professional, friendly, reliable and quick.

I used to go to another place and decided to give these guys a shot - Sam was exceptionally knowledgeable and educated me on my car as far as important maintenance to keep up with so that the car runs efficiently. I could tell he was not attempting to over sell me because he showed me a few things that needed immediate attention - and some others that he said I could wait a little while longer before fixing - Sam showed me the color discrepancy of some of the fluids and the difference between my current AC and Engine (very dusty) filters to a new one. I will always come here to maintain my car - as your car only lasts if you take care of it!! read more

I needed an oil change and would always see this location while driving down Washington Ave. I arrived about 8:30a on a Monday morning. No wait at all. Was greeted by Joe and he even educated me on the different types of oil provided. The oil change took about 10mins, was in and out. Joe noticed we're replacing our bumper so he even offered advice on where we could get it painted at an affordable cost. I will definitely be back for our car service. Thanks Joe! read more

Scott & Sam are always so helpful and reliable. They have taken good care of me and my jeep several times. Great team!

Took my truck in for an oil change and inspection on a Monday morning. As soon as I pulled into the lot, someone came out to greet me. The staff inside the waiting area was just as friendly. They had me in and out in under 20 minutes. Not going anywhere else from now on. read more

No complaints here. Time always varies depending on how busy they are, but that's anywhere. They always work as quick as possible.

I brought my boyfriend's Rover in for the state inspection and an oil change, with no appointment. They got me in and out within 25 minutes, they were super polite, and reasonably priced. The best part, in my opinion, was the exceptional customer service skills each one of the employees showed. I would highly recommend them! read more

Great customer service and true to their name. Went in for an oil change and minor tire repairs, they had me in and out within 15 minutes.

I stopped in Friday the 30th around lunch to get a state inspection. I was fully prepared to wait an hour plus because I had put it off to the end of the month, and at lunch on a Friday at that. I pulled up and they took my car right away! I doubt I was even at the shop for 10 minutes!!! I used to get my inspection done at the Shepherd location and never was out in less than 45 minutes. This place is my new go to!!! read more

I am not sure if it's the weather keeping Houstonians inside today but my visit to Kwik Kar was under 15 minutes! I came in for a car inspection, was greeted right away and the car was taken back shortly after; waited about 10 min and I was ready to be checked out. Friendly staff and fast service. I will definitely be returning. read more

Website states that emails will be responded to within 48 hours. I have emailed twice without response. Kwik Kar Washington removed fasteners from the under-shield of my Bronco Sport during an oil change and did not replace them. The fasteners also maintain the liner in the wheel well, so this caused the liner to hang down and get torn up by the tire. Also lost a mud flap. The vehicle is new and had not been serviced anywhere else. I've been a customer of this Kwik Kar for several years, but this is the second incident I've had in the past few months. I will not be a customer any longer. read more

Website says they do brake fluid flushing clear as day. Called, guy on the phone confirmed, scheduled appointment due to the mechanic with that skill only being there certain days. Get there, am told they don't do brake fluid flushing and they don't take appointments. Don't waste your time with these guys. read more

I came in for an oil change and the first thing the guy told me was their prices had gone up $20. I reluctantly decided to let them do the oil change. I waited a while, and then when I checked out, they went over the bill and mentioned a " coupon" (which I wasn't sure what they were talking about.) After I paid, I realized they charged me for an oil change AND inspection. I NEVER mentioned needing an inspection. He said, "well, sometimes people want it done early." I said, "today is April 1st; mine isn't due until June!" Then he told me it was a mistake. I was very confused and asked if they inspected my car. He said, "No, it was just on your bill as a mistake." I told him that I hope this was a mistake and they do not make this a practice to do this to other customers. Please make sure you check what they are charging you for!! read more

Very quick and fantastic service. I came for an oil change and they spontaneously took care of my tires and helped with gauge issues I was having. I definitely recommend. read more

They got mad cuz I wouldn't let them charge me $50 to change 1 filter. I called 3 other places all of them said around $30. So they changed oil and nothing else. Didn't reset oil life on truck. Didn't remove previous oil change sticker. Didn't replace wiper blades. Didn't check or replace air filter. Filled washer fluid with straight water. I had the wipers and air filter to put on truck. Bunch of scam artists and rip off. Last month when I was there they changed a ladies air filter without notifying her and then charged her $40 for it. She had to fight them to remove it. I'll never go back. And I'll never recommend them to anyone. Went another day an hour before closing. Just wanted fuel filter changed but they were more interested in leaving early over making a quick $50 for a whole 15 min job. I'll never be back here. I'll tell everyone to stay clear of this place. Nothing but lazy ppl and con artists. read more

I had originally visited the Firestone located at Washington and Houston Avenue. I arrived about 5 p.m. and was told they were not doing any more inspections that day (never mind their closing hour is 7 p.m.). I left work early anticipating a long wait so I was extremely disappointed in them. So I went down the street to Kwik Kar. There was no line, no wait, I was in and out within minutes. They were very friendly and most attentive. I will definitely return to Kwik Kar for my annual car inspection. Thank you guys for great service! read more

I called this store and this is the conversation that proceeded: Employee "hello.." Me "hi, I'm calling to see how much an oil change would be" Employee"50 bucks" Me"is that for every car?" Employee "no what kind of car do you have" Me ":/ so and so car" Employee"that's going to be 50 plus 35 for synthetic oil" Me "oh wow. Ok thanks. Bye" Kwik kar needs to train their employees in the most basic selling and influencing customers. Because he showed zero ability to sell. Especially after I called firestone a mile away, the employee greeted me, asked what car I have initially, told me a fair and honest price plus he gave me a 15 dollar off coupon. He told me what all I would get "oil filter, replaced mobile 1 oil etc. And how fast he could get me in and out. Now that is a SALE. And appropriately firestone gets the money. Kwik kar take some notes. And why are you charging 40 more dollars for the same synthetic oil change? read more
