Took great care of my car! Was able to get my inspection and oil change in one go and saved me a bunch of time. Really nice people, too. Being female, I always get talked down to at auto shops but these guys were very polite and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. Will definitely be getting all my oil changes here! read more

Under new ownership. Was charged 70 dollars for an oil change that costs 46 right down the road at Firestone. Will never go back.

The other day, I notice the oil light on my dash, so I stopped at the kwik kar down the street from my house. It was fairly slow, so I thought they would be nice an check my fluids and top me off. I was prepared to pay if need be. A young man came out and greeted me, I asked him for a fluid check and top off. Now just a little info, I have 4 years experience as a kwik kar lube tech. He told me he had to ask.. then the manager looked at me gave me a nasty look and told the young man "we dont do fluid check/top offs. Well that's too bad because I was planning on returning the following week end a d get full service oil change, air filter, brakes and a 100k tune up. I guess I'll take my money elseware. read more

Getting my inspection, and oil change was told my wipers did not pass!!! WTF? It was raining yesterday and they worked just fine... I know I'm getting screwed but to save a few bucks to go and buy blades just ain't worth it... so then he comes back and tells me my rear differential has metal flakes in it!!! I told him to not touch it... when I went to pay I asked him if he filled the blinker fluid.... I run a ranch near this location and have to handle the service on 8 OTHER vehicles these folks just lost every bit of that business. NEVER going back. read more

I will not be bringing my vehicle back to them! I am a person who usually does all of the basic maintenance on my car myself. But took my car in for an oil change because the weather was crummy and I did not have to time to do it myself. That being said I was appalled when the mechanic brought me back into the shop and showed me the dirty oil and tried to tell me something was wrong with my car because the oil was not a clear amber color like clean oil is. My impression is that they saw a 20 year old woman and thought they would be able to convince me something was wrong with my car because most women don't know better. I also found a few days later that they did not put the cap back on my power steering fluid after they checked it. read more

This company has left me stranded. I brought my car in for an oil change and they said I needed my fluids changed. They said for $99.99 they could change all my fluids. I told them it needed it, please go ahead and do that. Less than one month later I have no transmission fluid and my car is not drive able. They claim no responsibility whatsoever saying they did not touch my transmission--it was only my brake fluid. The manager kept saying that they did not do anything with my fluids, and when I asked what it meant on the service check list that they did check them, he did not have an answer for me because he did not have any information in his paperwork and he doesn't know who worked on my car. When they said "all my fluids" they were deliberately misleading me and now I will have to pay to rectify the situation. Do not take your vehicle to this place--horrible service. Avoid at all costs. read more

Well after documenting the fact that Kwik Kar has done the last 3 oil changes and that they are the only business that would "cutout" a splash shield (rather than remove it) to gain access to the oil filter, the manager said that the 2 previous oil changes were under different management so I couldn't prove who is responsible for destroying a $700 shield. I asked why they didn't tell me it was already cut when they did their oil changes and he couldn't answer. He would not sign my notification of intent to go to small claims court nor would he provide owner contact information. New owner supposedly owns 37 of these operations! Will never utilize a Kwik Kar again. I actually felt sorry for a lady I heard being told that her brakes need to be rebuilt while I waited on manager! read more

Brought wife's car to Kwik Kar Hickory Creek for an inspection. It passed but they tell me it is due for a radiator flush, tune up (spark plugs) and oil change. I decide to go ahead with it. I asked a tech what spark plugs go in the car and he tells me the same that Honda uses that is currently in there, probably NGK iridium. The whole thing was supposed to take 45 minutes but I am surprised when the tell me it is ready in 20 minutes. As I am paying they pull it into the bay and open the hood and are now taking spark plugs out and checking the gap on each one. I ask what is going on and they tell me that the car is running rough and that they are checking the gaps on the spark plugs. I ask to look at one of the plugs and the tech says it is hot but I can see the name on the plug which is Safelite. I ask to look at the old plug and it says Denso. I call Honda and the Honda tech says that Safelite is not a plug they use and recommends Denso or NGK. So I tell them to put the old ones back in and refund me the "tune up" that I am going to take the car to Honda who says they can get the job done if I can get there in 15 minutes. Everyone is standing around and the manager gets on the phone and walks to the back parking lot. Now I am angry and asking why the manager can't refund my money. They start making excuses and the manager ignores me and walks into some back room. Now I am yelling and wanting my money back. The manager comes back starts yelling at me and some guy walks into the waiting area to block my exit. I told him he didn't want to do that, my kid is waiting in the car and they are asking him what is wrong with your dad? I am yelling at them to get away from my kid and the manager starts cussing me but then realizes it is about to go from bad to much worse if his guy doesn't stop blocking my exit. He tells him and the other techs to get back and refunds my money for the tune up and tells me to never come back. I take it to Honda and they tell me that one of the bolts for the valve cover is cross threaded and broken off. Of course Kwik Kar manager hangs up on me when I call. Which is to be expected from this place. I also am getting my radiator fluid replaced because I now can't trust what they put in the car and having Honda check everything they touched. Manager refuses to give me the owners name. If you are the owner your shop owes me a $350 valve cover. Honda also reports it was not due for a radiator flush or a tune up! read more

This place is awful! I took my vehicle in here on Saturday for a simple oil change. After witnessing to customers who had to bring back their cars one was experiencing an oil leak after an oil change the other had their check engine light come on after they paid for their services and had left. The customer with the check engine light on was told that the cover to the air filter box was not put back on correctly. Obviously this error was done by them since they had just replaced the air filter. The customer with the check engine light on was told that the cover to the air filter box was not put back on correctly. Obviously this error was done by them since they had just replace the air filter. After trying to get me to pay extra to have my system flushed to remove the old oil which I declined. After I paid and got my car back I noticed two screws were laying in my floor board and my seat was extremely dirty with grease. I let them know and they said they would clean it but it did not come off and said they put the screws back. I will never go back to this place and will recommend that no one else does either. read more

My daughter went in for an inspection and oil change on her 2012 Accord. Mechanic told her she had a brake line leaking and that they would have to flush her brake lines to fix it. I told my daughter to take it to a Honda dealership to have it checked. Honda found the oil filter was not installed correctly and that she was leaking oil. She had to have Honda do another oil change on her Accord since the oil filter was cross threaded and she had lost most of the oil. I called the manager to relay all this information to him and asked if he could refund my daughter the $$ for the oil change. His response was that she should have had them fix it for her so he could not refund her $$ for the oil change. Fix what?? The phantom leak in the brake line? Just another attempt at scamming a young lady out of more $$. I told the manager I would post a negative review of his place. So here it is. Next up; reporting them to the BBB. Stay away from this place!!!!!!! Total rip off and they don't care if you call them out on their BS. read more

I brought my car here because my air conditioning went out. It was close to closing, but I called first to see if they'd be willing to repair it so late. They said come on over. Jake was who I dealt with and who worked on my car. After about a half hour he came back and said they didn't find a leak and refilled the freon. The AC went out again a few days later. I sought the opinion of two other mechanics who informed me that not only did they charge me double what it should have run me, but they spent half the time they should have checking for the leak. When I called to discuss the matter, Jake said he spent fifteen minutes checking for the leak, and complained about staying "an hour late" that day to assist me. I definitely wasn't there an hour and in the first place I called before I came in to see if they'd be willing to take care of it. The other mechanics I saw said that thirty minutes MINIMUM should have been spent doing the diagnostics, ideally an hour. Lazy. If you didn't have the time to repair my air conditioning, you should not have told me you did and then done half the job. He refused to give me any kind of a refund stating that he put freon in my car. Yeah, you did, AND IT ALL LEAKED OUT. There is no way am I bringing my car back to them. At first I didn't think they were trying to rip me off, moreso they just did a hack job and didn't spend the time they needed to spend on it.. But after taking it elsewhere I found out my compressor had a FAST leak, they spent the same amount of time diagnosing it and said it was very plain to see and I indeed got ripped off. I guess they take no pride in their work and don't care about customers returning. I definitely wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone, least of all a woman on her own. read more
