I love this place! They have everything you would need for small animals. I went in to purchase 2 new cages for my 3 rabbits. They didn't have one I wanted in stock so we decided to pick out another one. They were so kind and had the cage made and ready for me to take home in an hour! I couldn't believe it! They have any kind of supplies you would need. And I love it, because they have extra parts to buy. Like if their water bottle, the spout starts to leak or needs to be replaced, you can just go here and buy just that part, you don't need to replace the whole water bottle! So great! They also have great prices to! I would much rather give them my money then some of the larger change pet stores. I would highly recommend KW Cages to anyone that has small critters! read more

I love this place! I have a French Lop. I never had a problem with the floor sagging. You need to add their optional beams under the wire support. I also used the PVC coated wire. read more

I went there this morning for a new rabbit house and the whole staff was able to change out the flooring on short notice while getting ready for the rabbit convention in Portland. Thanks everyone Jason Cohn read more

I love KW Cages but don't appreciate the RUDE behavior of one of their employees Ted (aka Theodore). Whenever I go to rabbit shows to pick up supplies he will wait on everyone at the kw table before me. I'm clearly standing at the table waiting for him to make eye contact An ask me what I need, but he wont until he's spoken to EVERYONE at the table first An rang them up. One time he walked away from the table when it clearly had to be my turn (because everyone else had paid for their stuff An left) Literally acted like I was invisible An stepped away instead of waiting on me, the loyal CUSTOMER! I even heard his mom whisper to him "why is she standing there". Ummm for my order that I prepaid for, what else! I don't know what his issue is with me. I hardly know the guy. I've never been unpleasant to him. It's just too bad he feels like it's ok to treat ANYBODY that way. Plain an simple, it's rude. read more

Worst experience I ever had with an online purchase. On Dec. 18 I ordered several nest boxes. Guess why? I needed them for kindling on Dec.31. Never heard a word from them until Dec.27 by email. They said they were out for shipment that day. Next day email said they didn't ship. They had to make them and they were on the shipping dock. Make them? Said they were in Stock. Shipping charges are ridiculous. I told them I would keep the order in if they would ship overnight. For what they charge for shipping they surely could have. They declined. I canceled. I will never consider doing business with them again. Customer Service is terrible. Don't expect the customer service line to be answered. It won't be. By the way, I was told that my order was within THEIR PARAMETERS FOR PROCESSING. LOL read more

I agree they do have a lot of rabbit and small animal equipment, but their shipping is expensive (freight). Also slow shipping and I have been waiting for the 5.5 screen feeders since 8/15, almost 2 months now. We had problems putting together the rabbitech system, for as much as you pay, it should put together itself. It comes in pieces! and the directions sucked, everything should have been labled or color coded, to make it easier. The system to hang the cages to the frame was just wire you twist, we went and purchased hooks to hang ours, looks more professional and won't wear the finish on the frame. The feet don't adjust enough to get a good drop for the solids to roll. We don't have a drain in our cement floor so I ordered the waste disposal system, that is just a modified oil pan and gets clogged very easy and leaks urine. When I rinse my trays my rabbits get wet, I probably won't be able to use this in the winter, I have show angora rabbits and don't want them or me to get sick. I should have ordered the hanging or stacking cages with trays, I would be able to clean them much faster on a rotating bases. Very disappointed in this investment, I needed to see this system in person or done research before purchasing. read more

DON"T order from this company. I placed an order for an aviary cage at the end of October, planning a remodel of a room to accomodate parrots. I was told it would take 2-10 business days for mfg then 2-10 days to ship freight. I finally received it yesterday (Dec 10th) and the order was not complete. NOTHING was sent to assemble it. ALSO, no one ever answers the phine or returns calls. In my e-mail correspondence, the customer service rep also could not even address me by my correct name, when it was in the e-mail address above the message! No attention to detail. I would never do business with them again. If I had known, I would have been better off driving to Chicago to select and pick up a product. read more

I was impressed by the selection but am extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service. I placed an order 5 weeks ago and am still waiting for delivery. I've been tracking the package for over a week (after finally being shipped) and it quit updating two days ago after supposedly being dropped off by FedEx at my local Post Office for them to deliver. I called the post office to see what was going on and they don't even receive packages from FedEx. Of course there is no one to speak with when you call so I left a message and have to wait to be contacted. Not a happy customer. read more

I ordered from this company because of the great reviews, and now I regret it. Upon receiving my order I noticed the shipping charges were 3 times the amount on the chart in the catalog on the webpage. It specifically says to check the chart during the check out process. I thought my bill was a mistake, so I called customer service. Which might I add is nonexistent!!!! Calling for customer service directs you to leave a message, and they will call you back, usually the next day. If you miss the call you have to leave another message and wait. I was informed by a young woman named Sunshine that they had not updated their webpage or catalog since 2007. Wow, I think that is a little ridiculous. If I had known the shipping charge would be that crazy, I would have ordered from another company. Be careful when ordering from this company..............I never will again! UPDATE...........received a call from Kevin today, and he said they would refund some of the shipping charges because of the large discrepancy. Thanks Kevin. read more

We came to this store to get our set up for our first bunny. Yay!! (The breeder recommended it) Good quality for good prices! And GREAT customer service. I'm kicking myself because I can't remember the guy's name, but he truly was awesome! I put him (and my family) through so much grief trying to find the perfect items. This process included deciding on one thing then turning around five minutes later to change my mind. I know.. I'm sorry. The guy kept positive and helpful. Even after everything was rang up, I had questions about the receipt and ended up wanting to exchange yet another item. Not once did I feel like he thought I was a nuisance. I'm sure he thought it, haha, because I know I would've!! But from beginning to end... the experience was pleasant and before I left and apologized for being irritating, he replied with, "Its ok. I just want you to go home and be happy with what you bought." Super cool! read more

I run an adoption device for cats, rabbits and other small to medium animals. I appreciate how helpful kw cages has been over the years! The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. I would never go anywhere else!!!!! read more

If you don't buy your rabbit or bird supplies from this legendary company, you either like wasting your hard earned money or don't mind if your animals get inferior products. I have been buying cages for my foster homes as well as hay and pellets for almost ten years. I also buy all of my zupreem and bird vitamins as well. The cages are made the right way by people who truly know animals. You can pay twice as much for a made in china product with the wrong kind of floor wire or that will rust in a few months. OK now for my humble rating. The savings alone are worth five stars in my book!! Rich, the store clerk is one of the nicest persons you will meet. They have a GIANT inventory. The quality always exceeds my expectations and the food items are always fresh and lowest cost due to how many people buy there. If you ever have a question about any animal, they have experts on staff who are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. This is an example of a local grown company that passes savings on to the customers and not the corporate greed that has taken over much of our world. They also support nonprofit groups like our bird club without batting an eye. I ask my fellow reviewers to take these huge points this into consideration before nicking these guys even a half a star. These guys work hard on very low mark-ups. We need to support more companies like this and not get persnickety over trivial things like hours. It is my Saturday morning ritual to pick-up supplies at KW Cages. read more

This place is horrible at shipping orders, three weeks ago I ordered water crocks for my rabbits, as I need them for fair. Well after the three weeks of hearing nothing from them, I decided to call. They said they were going to ship it in "probably a day or two". Are you kidding me? I now have no time to order anywhere else. This is the last time I buy anything here. read more

I've been doing business with KW Cages for a few years now and I absolutely love the selection and variety of items they carry. They will even build a cage custom by the dimensions and design you need. One of the reasons I like shopping there is KW Cages offers quanity discount pricing as where other pet stores do not. I recommend KW Cages to any one who has small pet needs. read more
